Am not Iranian, but i grew up listening to Iranian music, i learned the language from listening to persian music, and seeing you listening and reacting to various Iranian songs for the first time is extremely heart warming.
Where Are you from?
@@noshad3966 kurdistan
@@ghujjhh9454 That makes sense because by blood you originally are from Kurdistan province in Iran so basically you are Iranian
@@ghujjhh9454 Bijî Kurdistan
Persia, Kurdistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, ... We're like siblings of a family.

Translation of the poem (Che Danestam):
How could I know?
This desire
Would drive me so insane
Turn my heart into an inferno
Flood my eyes with a deluge
--------------------------------------------
How could I know?
A torrent
Would carry me so sudden
And Throw me like a ship
Amidst an ocean of blood
And strike that ship with a wave
That would break every plank
And each plank would fall
In divergent spins
--------------------------------------------
A leviathan would then raise its head
And drink all the water
And such endless ocean
Would turn dry like a desert
--------------------------------------------
When these changes came to pass
Neither ocean remained nor desert
And I know not why
For this uncertain is drowned in the absolute
--------------------------------------------
Questions are abound
Yet I know none
For I drank in this sea, a morsel
From the opiate of silence
(RUMI)
Homayoun is a legend .
All members of shajariyan family are LEGENDARY
Indeed! ❤️❤️
Can ya find 10 singer who can tuch this notes without any digital apps?! He just realy doing this! One of the most talented singers on earth❤👌🏻 r.i.p his father🖤
His sound is like meditation for me.
me too Sahar khanoom.
Dude, I am a Proud Iranian, we used to take classes in school to understand these lyrics. These are poetry from centuries ago a testament to the rich and priceless Iranian culture.
He uses Iranian poems in his music, this is Iranian literature, it is good to read translations to understand them
But it never becomes like their Persian form
My man I am so happy to see traditional Iranian music get some love. this is so heart warming for me
Techno music +Setar+Santorum+Homayoun’s voice and the lyrics of great Iranian poet...what a combination...just missing a glass of Bordeaux vine...chin chin
The lyric is by Rumi and it creates a surreal picture in your mind specially when you understand it with beautiful persian literature
this vocal style may sound strange for the westerners but since we have been familiar with it since our childhood we enjoy it very much and in fact we rate singers based on his skill in this vocal style, if you are wondering what the philosophy behind this vocal style is Homayoun once said in his interview that the founders of this style were trying to mimic the sound of nightingale.
You know what ... I'm starting to adore my Persian root ♥️👍♥️
that feeling you get when the music touches your soul
it's great Homayoun is trying to come up with novel ways of answering younger generation's musical needs and not sticking to the past
Please react to "Gholab" by homayoun shajarian ... it will be beyond expectations
There is no easy way to translate Persian poems, especially those like this one that talk about love, humanity, etc, which are full of Persian virtues and idioms and references and metaphors. I personally can only give word by word translation which totally kills the meaning and the novelty of the poems.
Iranian poems are really hard to translate . Because they have really deep meaning to them even we can not understand some parts or words as an Iranian 😆
The lyrics are difficult to understand. Ancient poems with lots if metaphors
I've been following your Shajaryan stuff for some time now, the father and the son. I totally understand the lyrics cause I'm Iranian. I've seen people who react, wanna know the lyric, but this time you asked for only listening to the sound and vocal not the lyrics. Although the lyrics are very beautiful and poetic, this is the first time I wish I couldn't understand the lyric to feel what you just felt. Love brother. 🩵
This piece of music is performed in
" shooshtari" which is a part of Homayoun Style
Beautiful music masterfully performed by a legendary singer. This is amazing. Superb!
Thanks for reaction 🇮🇷💚homayoun shajarian in Best 🙏
lyrics is also very deep , its a poetry from 12 century , by Mowlawi/Rumi
Iran is provenance of art and culture , we have significant history , i invite you to discover the boundless sea of persian literature ✌🏻❤️
This reminds me of ancient persian empire thousands years ago! Cyros the Great(the king of kings), Pasargadae, etc
Thanks form Iran🇮🇷🌹❤️
The name of the instrument which you were asking about is KA-MOON-CHEH. Also, since you are very keen on musical instruments, you may want to do some research about an instrument called SANTOOR which we use quite a lot in our songs.
Homayoun Shajarian is a legend, the king of the Persian land. Like his father Mohammad Reza Shajarian who will remain a legend .
U r a true music lover....thanks for the song....great song great voice....
It's 1:46 a.m in Iran😅👌
Nice reaction love your energy🤗❤
Thank you😃🌹
You remind me of my homeland .... Thank you very much ...
Hi man
Poetry (words) of this music belongs to Rumi (Balkhi), the great poet of the eighth century Iran. The theme of the poem is a dream, an amazing dream.
Your reactions are unique, you understand music, my friend, like Iranians.
We love you Canadian man ❤❤❤
Both you and your country.
Peace be upon Canada ❤✌
I forgot one important thing to tell you. This is a mystical poem, related to Iranian mysticism
Rumi was initially a Muslim, but he had a meeting with a mystic (Shams Tabrizi) and he suddenly changed and became a mystic 😉
Forgive me for not being able to speak English like you 😂😂😂😂
God bless Google Translate 🙉
I was curious how google will translate this Avaz, as classical vocal style. The first word that surprised me was "SODA" which it "سودا" pronounced same as "soda" but it mean some sort of vision or illusion...
@I I yeah it has many meanings, including the Soda (real soda) but here, I believe, means "خیال".
He is the God of the voice!! Just like his dad!!(rip)! !!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Long live the master(memory) and his son Homayoun!! Perfection!! Speechless!!
Thank you for sharing!!
Plesse try to learn about the instruments!!♥️✌🏼🎼🎼🎼🎼
Homayoun is the best😍😍😍
The name " Homayoun" means blessed and it is one of the 7 Iranian styles which is called
" dastgaah" or " maqaam".
Love Homayoun so much 💓 💗
The poet is insane. Amazing poet.wow tnx for react to our singer
well as an Iranian I would say that your reaction was priceless!

He sing some of ancient poetry by Rumi (mewlana)
Homayoun is the best
Beautiful reaction Mace :)
amazing voice,poem and music.
thank you for this choice.
Very good thank you
He is legend❤️
I like the songs you select
Original Iranian music is very beautiful, it is very soothing and the people of the world really need to listen and enjoy. Like the Persian gardens known as the Garden of Eden, Iranian music is the voice of heaven 🌹🌹🌹
After he’s father he’s only legendary singer for ever im from iraq .
BTW this piece is not named prelude, the real name is " che danestam" which translates to " I had no idea". Other people on UA-cam translate it to "what did I know" which is of course a very literal and word-by-word and wrong translation. I got the whole album made for this movie, the album is amazing.
Watching full moon and listening
Moon dancing with ecstacy
I love Homayoun Shajarian's voice and music, it makes me drunk🥺
i really enjoyed your reactions.
The poem is related to the changes in the spiritual condition of Rumi (Iranian poet and mystic) after meeting Shams Tabrizi (read Rumi's biography is very interesting)
Meaning of lyrics (source:lyricstranslate.com)
How could I know that this longing would drive me so crazy;
That it would make my heart a prison, and my eyes a river?
How know tears like a flash flood would carry me away,
And hurl me like a boat into a vast sea of blood?
That waves would beat and split this boat board by board,
Until each board twists away from all the many tortures?
That the sea-monster would raise its head- and swallow the sea;
That such an immense sea would go dry like a desert plain?
That the devouring sea-monster would then split this plain,
And suddenly pull me down into a pit, like Qarun, in wrath?
When these transformations occurred, naught remained;
What do I know, when why and what swallow each other?
O how many the “I don’t knows” there are- but I don’t know;
For I have swallowed the foam of opium, to forget that sea!
The deep meaning of this poem has a wide mystical and philosophical analysis that is not known in the appearance of words
wow wow wow wow wow
.....
WOW
The best👌👌💎💎💓💓
Spiritual! Beyond the visibility . 🙌
This song is amazing song oh my god
The way u r shaking ur head, it would make anyone excited...lol
I guess this poem is speaking of difficulties to find and to reaching the eternal love
This song is one of my top 10.
Wawww homayoun shajarian😍 thank you
Nice nice nice👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤
Great
#Homayoun #King 🔥
Google never can translate the great Rumi :D
Divine 💜
The Lyrik is about a famous poem from the famous and world renowned Persian Poet who in Iran in known as "Molana" and in the west as "Rumi".
If yo google "Rumi, Persian Poet" in Google or UA-cam, you would find many pieces of his poems in different performance styles. Also the translation of his poems are available in book shops, too.
Thankyou very much.
you used the word ''TRANS'' at least two times. That's it , you did dig that piece of music.
Need to say, being away some 45 years from the Persian language; I am rediscovering it as a very Beautiful Language.
OMG 😲
Epic....
To fully understand the lyrics of this song, you must have a good knowledge of Persian language and literature. Even we Persian speakers may not understand the meaning of many great Iranian poems.
My friend. This is shooshtary mood.goes to bidaad and return to shooshtary tetra chords. So appreciate of ypur attention to iranian music.

this version has better translation.it has also persian lyrics .
ua-cam.com/video/bGmpiYE4R9Y/v-deo.html
the lyrics are transcendental about a spiritual journey of a philosopher-lover.he is watching and narrating a battle between two realm of his soul, mind and heart(reason and love).you can see this contrast in music too,an upbeat theme with joyful passion and a melancholic vocals who is talking and questioning.he is definitely a great Artist.
The basic theme of the movie is about how far a human being can go acting evil !
Iranian music 🎶 👌 waaaawwww
Have you ever listened to the song Rage khab? From Shajarian? If not, do not miss it
Also Listen to the rest of the album, you'll be AMAZED!

no translation can be able to exist without explained notes on page /pages for each word. and this is true about all Iranian poems.
🙏🏽🎵 nice reaction.

Woww👌
I recommend you also watch and react to "the symphony of epic of Khoramshahr" amazing persian symphony in commemoration of liberation of Khoramshahr (a city next to Iraq that was occupied by Saddam in the first days of war).
music translation :
what have i known?
that this love relation
what have i known?
that this love relation
drives me this much insane
what have i known?
that this relation
drives me this much insane
makes my heart a hell
and my eyes like a river
what have i known?
that a flood suddenly is about to grab me
suddenly is about to grab me
sinks me like a ship through a sea full of blood
in a sea full of blood
sends a wave to that ship
that tears it up into driftwoods
that every plank collapses
from all the rotations
and a whale gets appeared
drinks whole water of that sea
like that infinite sea becomes dry
becomes dry like a desert
dry like a desert
and when these alterations happened
neither the sea nor the desert remained
what do i know about reasons and what happened next??
that all the reasons are sunken without explanation
there are so many of "what have i known?" questions
there are so many of "what have i known?" questions but i don't know any of their answers
i have been just quiet(i was tolerant) and i have been drunk(still joyful) in this cruel sea of love
The remix of this song is more beautiful😍
Awesome!
