Thank you Swagatika di for providing valuable information and Sachin Pullil for organizing this. I have recently finished my M.Sc in Microbiology and I was looking for universities and labs and it felt like this talk was right for me. I went through the research focus of the lab and its aligning with mine research interest. I am willing to apply to the lab.
Really informative !! Can you please come up with more such videos of PhD aspirants in biology related field like stem cells , cancer research, clinical research ,biotechnology etc. for MSc lifescience passouts too. Thanks alot :)
It was very informative, but for masters students admitted in 2020 in college in india are studying from home and are not exposed to research experience can you say about that
There are still ways you can try to get research experience. Speak to your professors, there will be alternatives. If not, at the very least you can pick up skills right now through online courses that will be useful for research later. For example, in a lot of fields, learning how to handle data can be beneficial. Your professors should have more information for you :)
Hello Yashee. Yes, you can apply to different labs and work remotely. I'd say try contacting postdocs of various labs (of your research interest) and ask them if you could intern in any of their ongoing projects! Mostly they're very helpful and will definitely revert if they've something suitable for you. All the best for your career. :)
I am a bsc botany student from west bengal .My GE subject is Zoology. In West Bengal we can get addmission In MSC botany if we have zoology. Some of my friend said that Chemistry is compulsory. If my side subject is zoology with Botany is there any chance that i cannot gate addmission in phd botany in India or abroad.please reply me .because its really important for me.
Hello Subhi. No, it's not self funded. I'm 'employed' here as a research assistant in a DFG funded project as opposed to the 'fellowship system' in India. So, my contract is a 65% contract (it can be 50 or 65 or 100 depending on the kind of project you will get hired for). PhDs here fall under TVL-E13 salary category. So, I don't have to do anything apart from pursuing my PhD to take care of my expenses. I hope I could answer your questions. All the best for your PhD applications (if you're planning to) 🌻
@@swagatikadash5932 thank u swagatika for sharing valuable information to us. Will u please share ur point of view on Which countries are better for PhD in microbiology for education and employment after that.
No. As far as I know, you don't need to have any of the above scores. Just find a suitable supervisor and contact him or you may also apply to open positions.

Sir,is it compulsory to have research paper to get enrollment to phD?
What about P.hD in English literature in Germany?
Is 100% scholarship given by Germany universities for phd students.......
avoid music in backgroud
I want to know about the scholarship. is it full-time or self-funded? what do u do fr living?
She didn't get a "scholarship". It's more like she's working for the university and getting paid, and she gets a PhD degree at the end.
@@SachinPullil150 how much she get as an PhD student, like in India it's 32 k until u submit ur RP and thn 35k
