Man is 51 years old and gets better each day. Love him
Frfr he only gets better with age,it's insane at his age
i mean he gets faster but not better
He is 47😊
@@jacobbegay6268 51 was 47 when this song was released
@@jacobbegay6268 wrong
I don't like to compare old vs new Eminem, he's always good he's just evolved. Enjoyed your reaction!
Em is a GOAT. Literally his brain sees words differently than most people. If he wants to tell a story, he will bend syllables to fit the rhyme all while not giving up any integrity to what he is really trying to say. He also love homophones (words that sound the same but have different meanings), but he takes it a step further but not just using words that sound the same, but also finding a sound he likes and then making his worlds fit that sound. A prime example in this song:
“These chicks are spazzin' out, I only get more handsome and flier
I got 'em passin' out like what you do, when you hand someone flyers.”
He likes the way handsome and flier sounds so he literally creates the exact same sound using different words. Totally different meaning but completely the same sound.
Here’s another example of Em genius:
“Like a paraplegic, and it's scary, call it Harry Carry
'Cause every Tom and Dick and Harry
Carry a Merriam motherfuckin' dictionary.”
He uses the Harry Carry in different ways, but makes it sound like he says the name twice, even though he is saying something different.
It’s an endless list of examples of what this man does with the English language. It’s almost as if he speaks a completely different language, and I guess in some ways he does.
You'll probably appreciate it more starting with older em and seeing him progressively raising the bar.
Very true, but then I could be biased as this is just how I have, since I've been listening to hip hop since b4 he came to the scene.
Honestly I'm Biased. I have em at 2 on my list. And that's only cause Pac got me into rap so he's #1 for me.
@@danielj4587 fair enough
Em always been one of the best. He's still controversial. He's relentless. He's petty and funny as hell. He doesn't forget anything that's relevant. But unlike other rappers, he's adapted to the changes of time, or paved his own path. But what he does in the late 2010s and still through today has been a different level. He's tactical, methodical, a lyrical wordsmith prodigy. Not all his songs or beats are great..but in every song, whatever he's doing is still just an exercise in doing something great. Marshall is NEO. HE is HIM, he is The One..and if there is a "spoon or no spoon", it was Eminem's decision. Lol. RapGod..and he's over 50 years old... Been setting the tone and the pulse of rap for over 25+ years. Some of these younger, newer "trashcan" pop, mumble jumble rappers can't last 25 minutes.
Nailed it. Well said.
He's throwing up legos because he spits bars, straight fire, also right after you see him spit fire too.
No it’s cause godzillas a dragon
@@LilPaperVEVO He's a turtle.
Watching Em blow people's minds is so fun.
He is so innovative with his lyrics. They slap every time.
Both eminems equally. HE CANT BE ONE EMINEM WITHOUT THE OTHER 🙌
Amen to that. I do prefer the newer version, but I understand that he couldn't have gotten here without the early Eminem.
I told you 2 days ago.. this song will blow your mind... see.. I wasn't lying to you! lmao
This song is 🔥🔥🔥
@@IamKingReacts The next one to do is (kinda the sequel song) GNAT Music Video.. that one is crazy too! lol
Ol' Em and New Em both have their merits. To me, old Em felt more like his roots, rap battles, and he was the KING of them. Controversial or not, his lyrics and beats are crazy. Easily will go down as one of the best rappers to play the game.
Exactly. Which is better is a matter of opinion and taste. Personally, the only Eminem that I haven't listened to as much or connected with as much is mid Eminem. I'm talking primarily about Relapse/Recovery, Kamikaze, and anything else that came out during that period from ~2006 to MTBMB. I've heard a fair number of tracks from those years in the past year and a half, but most of them just don't hit me personally the way the old stuff did or even Godzilla, GNAT, and Alfred's Theme do.
@@zoegartham312 I think most Em fans would agree with you there. I like all his stuff really.
@@badweathergaming4929 True. I haven't met a "bad" Em song. There are a few, like Kim and Drips, that I personally don't like and refuse to listen to, but that's simply personal taste and not a comment on the songs themselves.
In my case, I was in my teens/early 20s back when MMLP, TES, and Encore dropped, which are the formative years for developing my own distinct sense of musical identity rather than keeping with what your parents listen to. It's also the time of your life when events in your life will resonate with your core self the strongest and allow for the deepest memory formations possible.
As for the modern/new Em stuff, most of what I have heard has actually had to grow on me a while before I can say I liked it. Godzilla was definitely that way, as was Rap God. It has been mostly listening to reactors here on YT reacting to it that has given me the deeper love and appreciation for the new Eminem songs. It helps also that as I approach 40, I can listen and understand things about his music (even the older stuff) that I would have been unable to 20 years ago, and I have a better ear for picking out his bars.
To me it's similar to an athlete: When you're young, you're crazy athletic but raw. When you've been in the game a while you're less athletic, but you're more mentally ready.
That list of rappers that you listed at the beginning is sad as hell. It absolutely explains why nas said hip hop is dead years ago, because it was. My god please my g go down a rabbit hole even on your own of 90's early 20's rappers and get some real hip hop in your life. Nas, Em, Jay-z, BIG, Wu-tang, outkast, scarface, pac, bone, man to many to name. but this era of rap is so depressing it's crazy.
Thank you! These young cats are so brain washed from trash rap now bc these young rappers being promoted are all on drugs and uneducated so they have no talent. Just a hot beat and a viral tik tok clip. Shit is sad! He needs to listen to the song called “Syllables” to explain why young people do not know hip hop. Kendrick, J Cole, Big Sean and Joyner are probably the only lyricists left in this generation of retards. God help this generation🙏🏾
All facts I wanted to click off when he said he grew up on these mumble rappers 🤦🤣🤣
@@allow-itman9749 yeah they don’t know any better bc that shits getting promoted
Why all the hate... you're embarrassing yourselves and our generation
@@krystynross your generation is doing that all on its own.
Why did it seem like dude just realized Em is goated? Lol
He’s like fine 🍷 wine the goat 🐐 gets better with age!! ✌🏻
Personally when I hear something new, I'll listen to it all the way through the 1st time, as that's what was intended by the artist. I know this is hard to do for reaction channels due to copyright issues, and I respect the process. But after I've listened to it all the way through I run it back a few times to [try to] catch everything in it. And just to enjoy it. Then down the road, I'll start to look at it again, but only through reaction videos, for a few reasons.
1) Giving love to the reactors,
2) plus reactors may find things I missed or I just didn't get or understand due to my limited knowledge,
3) they also might have a different view or take on what I've experienced or even a different opinion based on their different life experiences,
4) and to see things I like/love through the eyes of others... I want to say almost as a validation that other people like and/or love the things I do and/or think of the things it made me think. I respect other people and their views and opinions and I feel I'm more grounded with the more range of people I view.
As far as Eminem's skill, I believe he is getting better with age, as most men do, and is very true he has gotten a lot more technical over the years. I would say this is one of his best, but then he matches this or more every song I hear almost.
Old school Eminem is an absolute menace! He raps about stuff you think of randomly but would never say out loud
Godzilla, spitting fire all the way thru
You asked how is he so good...that's what happens when he's been in the game for 25 years perfecting his craft.
Yes Em seems to get better with age, but everything he has done is good. Em is a GOD
Em is Shakespearean!
I think both versions of em are incredible and not comparable. He’s transformed to stay relevant. Em is phenomenal and why he’s the GOAT IMO.
That's why i am glad i grew up on rap during the 80s and 90s with The Fat Boys, Run DMC, Nas, Fabulous, Big Daddy Kane, Public Enemy, KRS-1, Biggie, Pac, Cam'Ron and the list goes on. Those are the greats in my life growing up, like a percentage of people who were born back then.
I've never heard the SKITTLES analogy😂. That was amazing
YES!!
Me: Skittles? Really‽ Skittles? Where are you going with this?
Also me: ...🤯 ... he's right! 😄
I just subscribed Eminem is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
1:43 old or young is not better or worse. he has merely evolved. he was fire before and he's fire now. but now, the fire is elite.
Young slim shady is way better than
watching those lyrics shred ur mind and ur eyeballs say it all 😆👌
So many things keep popping out when I hear this after all these years. “A cross between a zombie apocalypse and big Bobby "The Brain" Heenan which is probably the Same reason I wrestle with mania”
Bobby the Brain Heenan was a wrestler explaining the wrestling with mania “Wrestlemania”
Is OLD EM BETTER THAN NEW EM? Do you mean young em vs older WISER EM? That's a trick question to me cuz like everyone EM has evolved. He started off great and got GREATER i.e THE GOAT 🐐 lol
Oh sweet child.
Listen to ‘97 Bonnie and Clyde, Forget about Dre, Superman, Guilty Conscience, My Fault, I Don’t Give a Fuck, Kim, Cleanin’ Out My Closet, Lose Yourself, and the entire Death of Slim Shady album.
Side Note: TDOSS is art and fucking brilliant.
Eminem is a legend and I’m loving your exploration into him and his legacy.
He’s controversial, but that’s the point. Shady has always been a villain. He says shit no one else says (and no, not necessarily “what we were all thinking”). But it’s not only what he says, but how he says it. His clever, snarky attitude, ability to manipulate words, narration- there’s so much more to it than just being offensive.
Here’s a great example:
“But if we can hump dead animals and antelopes, then there’s no reason that a man and another man can’t elope”
Think about the words he uses, but also the message he’s conveying.
(By the way, that shit happened. Tom Green did a skit on his show where he pretended to have sex with road kill.)
‘97 Bonnie and Clyde tells a story about him killing his wife and getting rid of her body with his infant daughter.
Yeah- the content is rough, but his ability to tell a story, to make you feel (even if that feeling is repulsion)…
There are so many layers to Eminem.
And here’s the best part: if someone finds him offensive, they don’t have to listen to him.
You don’t want your kids to hear his music? Then parent and monitor your kids.
When I first heard this song I ran it back 3 or 4 times. And then shared it with everyone who would appreciate it. Real talk. Follow along with the lyrics. He actually throws in some meaningful lyrics in that tornado of words.
My favorites of Em are Criminal, Kill You, The Way I Am, Square Dance, Sing For The Moment, and When the Music Stops. But honestly that's really just the stuff of his that i grew up on and all his stuff is pretty fire.
Your mind is gonna explode with venom...
hes gonna get that adrenaline momentum?
Eminem's skills have progressed and he says more meaningful things in his current music. He's always made incredible music and we're going to enjoy whatever music we grew up with the most. I like seeing how his skills evolve and what he comes up with and I'm glad he's still around
Eminem started his career on 1980's and got good relations with snoop dogg, eazy e, ice cube, dr. Dre, etc. Eminem THE GOAT
Rap God; Homicide; Not Alike, (Rap Devil by MGK), Killshot; Gnat, Alfred’s Theme; and go back to listen to his old stuff (maybe old stuff first):::
Some Eminem songs I recommend are Till I collapse, Sing for the Moment, White America, The Way I Am, and Stan to name a few. Remember always do uncensored versions
Your reactions are the best out there please dont stop
Juice Wrld sounds like he was such a beautiful young soul. RIP.
"Like a liars pants im one fire" 😂😂
DON'TMATTER THEY BOTH ARE GOOD OLD AND NEW
Eminem rapped so fast it broke everyones internet connection 😅
that pause on his eyes couldn't be replicated ever again.
swear to god people. set the play speed to .50 you can crystal clearly make out every single syllable, its bonkers.....this man is a god among men...
Love the genuine reaction
Several times did I run it back. Had to listen to other reactors to catch what the man was saying. Love the Skittle reference.
You've got great energy, my dude. That was fun.
Just started watching ur em reactions. Love the fact u honest with not listening tonem before. Here for he ride lol
All of the guys i've seen reacting to this one are asking the question "Why are his eyes like that?" It is a clash of himself and his alter-ego - trying to be himself and the thing everyone wants to see on the media. "Em service, why are you calling?! Next time you're to be buried deep, can you recall it?!"
I knew as soon as he said he's never seen eminem and was listening to godzilla he was about to have his brain sprayed by random words from the machine gun that is eminem
All Em. ❤ It takes some time to aquire Eminem "Ears".
Rip Juice Wrld 😪. 999 forever. He would've loved this.
Some other things you should be aware of at your age as well:
- Water is wet
- The sky is blue
- The earth is round
Love your energy and your videos!!
Em broke his own Guinness World Record to get Juice WRLD into the book.
Every artist goes through their own struggle on their own albums
7:36 that feeling of hearing what he says but not having the time to comprehend it before he moves on to something else.... Common occurrence in this song
Don’t ever apologize for rewinding and pausing!! If they want to hear the song, they can to hear that shit lol we want to see your reaction!
Bro, next time here, ‘til I collapse
Have you seen the fan-made animated lyric video by Randy Chriz? He has a YT channel called Meraki United. Randy made that video in March of 2020. I saw that video before I saw the official one. And of course, I listened to it several times after that by watching dozens of reaction vids. About a year later (probably due to popular demand), Eminem hired Randy to make a lyric video for Tone Deaf.
The Bobby Heenan 'Wrestle-with-mania' lyric goes over everyone's head
When I first heard this song I was at home just chillin' in the evening watching youtube and it came up. I think my reaction was like.. what the f***? How? 😂
I’m in my 50’s and I love him still.
0:42 "I never really got into the GOAT". Makes me sad.
Did ya know em was juice wrlds idial when juice wrld made this song before his passing juice wrld says ima feed ya to the monster hes referring to eminem as Godzilla 🦖🔥
You should check out eminems albums in order
“On the road to 30k”, then immediately said, “in a couple days we should be at 20k”, then the next sentence was, “on the road to 100k”. Never taking directions from this man. 😂😂
You want your brain to explode..... Busta Eminem "Calm Down" 😁
I always have to run back Eminem. Its a compliment in my opinion
Dude you NEED to hear Eminem x Logic on the song “homicide” and Eminem x joyner lukas “lucky you”
Em gives you the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster. The effect of which is like "having your brains smashed out by a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick."😁
i just love watching new stans in the making
The old Eminem was good and after he overdosed he had to relearn how to rap and he went to a whole new level
You gotta look at EM entire life. Bro he had to teach himself to rap again. Do your research and you see why EM is the best. He is so transparent so you can have a window into his world. There's a lot of haters because he is so good. Can't nobody do what he does
You got yourself a sub from Zambia, Africa
Eminem is so controversial to this day that they will still not play any of his songs produced on any of his albums over the radio you can find a couple where he’s featured in a song but none of his personal songs are actually on live radio
I love both types of eminem, i grew up on his old stuff so i love it mainly cuz of that plus i just loce how silly he is in most of gis songs but its true his newer shit is insane not as silly but still great, theres a reason hes the 'rap god'
In hindsight Rap God was more of an aspirational goal. It wasn’t until Music To Be Murdered By A/B that he finally ascended to God status.
You should check out the song he did with Snoop Dogg “D to the LBC”. You also need to dive into the Beastie Boys. I’d recommend “Root Down”, “3 MC’s 1 DJ”, “Root Down”, “Intergalactic”, ”Paul Revere”, “The New Style” and “Too Many Rappers” (with Nas). They definitely are hip hop royalty and mist definitely inspired Eminem. 👍🔥
Welcome to the EM show 😂😂😁
Did you notice even Iron Mike Tyson quickly apologized to Em, because nobody wants to mess with Em.
😋
That and em are mike are friend s
Eminem Is New Reactors Nightmare In A Fun Way 😅
MTBMB IS A MASTERPIECE CLASS IN HOW TO RAP ❤️🔥❤️🔥GNAT the sequel video 🔥🔥Love both the old & new When Eminem OD’d he had to completely relearn how to rap and it changed his style. Underground was song that made Paul (his manager) realize Em could rap.
GNAT! "If I suck, your wife is a straw!"
Till I Callapse is an amazing Em track
Here for your journey brother
I don't know why this song makes me think of "love the way you lie", but you should react to that one too
For em songs to react to, the ringer, not alike, toy soldiers, the way i am, and so many others that its hard to list them without this comment being a mile long. Other great rappers to look into are ritz, twista, outkast, yelawolf, busta rhymes, and pretty much anyone under the strange music label with the masterful tech 9. Theyre all pretty damn good
He's always better dude always making iconic song as always
After a couple of years still replaying
P Diddy cheesecake line went right over this young blood's head haha
Got to do til i collapse next! Song goes hard
I'm a firm believer that Em style just grew as he did as a man. It's been great in all eras, just at diggers levels. And that's okay
You need to watch the movie 8 Mile.
Eminem just can’t basically love every thing
Yes!! Brain in a knot. For real.
Love Eminem. A true gem that boy.
For some oldskool sublime rap please take an ear to Kool G Rap and DJ Polo - Road To The Riches. You will not be disappointed.
The thumbnail 😂 Bizarre in the back
Eminem is too lyrical for you. If you really want to know how talented and smart he is with his lyrics, rhyming and compound syllable structures you might want to watch a few newer reactions to Eminem by the reactor Flawd Tv. He has mastered his craft and even those who emeinem isn’t their cup of tea are mind blown by how he writes poetry with rap and breaks down his verses to the molecular level like a mad scientist. Em is too smart for the average listener so if you want to get educated, I suggest you watch Flawd.
No Life Shaq, Knox Hill, Crypt, Cliff Beats, Flawd, Stevie Knight, and Three Shades of Whatever are the people I watch the most and some of which break the bars down very well.
💯 agree with you.
I think Knox is the best because Flawed seems to not have a great vocabulary or know much history which you need for Em. Flawed and the rest are fine but I don't think anyone catches as many bars as Knox.
@@jstmez you are right about that!
Fun fact eminem is rapping faster than an ak47 in the fast part
Welcome to real rap lyrical brilliance by the goat eminem
Forget about the new generation and listen the 90's mcs...they are the real thing
The GOAT!!
The difference between ACTUAL rap, and mumble rap garbage, is incredibly jarring for the young bucks.
