I also think this is interesting. I’m not Mormon, I live in Colorado. But I worked for a pest control company that was Mormon owned. I worked there for like 6 years. Met so many other companies that are all Mormon owned and operated. Lot of money, lot of competition. I am out of the industry now, but I feel like I know a lot about the underground things in the southwest pest control industry lol. I’ve met some of you guys before at a conference thing in AZ. Good luck to you guys!
Thank you! Being apart of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints really sets you up for success in life. Not to mention the rejection therapy you get from knocking doors on a mission for two years. Transitions smoothly into door to door sales. Best of luck to you as well!
This is a serious question, and I mean it with the best of intentions… do you think you’d be where you are now without your parents help in the beginning after you got back from the missions?
@@wilsondoesstufff Yes. It just may have taken me longer. You either pay in time or money. The initial investment my dad made into this business helped launch us but it was eaten up fast in the business. If I didn’t get it from him, I probably would have gotten it from a different (probably less forgiving) investor. Entrepreneurship is all about detours. If you get stuck at a road block, are you going to stop or are you going to find another way around. If he said no, I would have found another way around. But his support, and the fact that the investment was from my dad, was a huge motivator to me to keep pushing even when I didn’t want to. If you make excuses that you need handouts to make it anywhere, you will never make it.
