Just did Chogogo off the Carnival Horizon last week because of this video. Thanks! To fill in some holes it's a $4 per person cab ride from the port. Just go to the taxi stand and they will point you to a driver. On the way home go to the front desk of resort and they will call you a taxi to go back to ship. Super easy and great option for a self guided excursion.
Did you have to go early in the morning to get the pass? We want to see other things so we are trying to plan our day! Was a lot of ppl from the ship there? Did you go anywhere else or just chagogo?
It’s a real pleasure to watch you guys. You are both such lovely and natural people and seem so happy together. You complement each other wonderfully and seem to have a great relationship. Loving your content!
Hi y’all, just wanted to pop in and tell you that we are literally at Chogogo beach resort as I write, because of your video and it is beyond awesome! You did not over sell it, it was our goal to be here on Wednesday, May 3 and here we are! Thank you for your video, and this incredible recommendation. If others are coming here on a cruise, the resort day pass is the absolute way to go! A lovely facility, food, beach, snorkeling, you name it, all very relaxing, and at least today, not crowded. But once the word gets out…. We’re already planning to return for a weeklong resort vacay! Cheers!
The cab was a very short ride, less than 10 minutes. It was $15 for 1-4 people. I was solo, so I paid $15. But a group of four is also $15. They will call you a cab when you’re ready to leave. You buy the passes at the front desk, they’re first come first served. I think they only have so many to sell. I got there before 9:00am and had no issue. It’s also a scuba place if you’re interested in that. Super clean, modern, everyone nice and accommodating. Hope you enjoy if you go! What was the cab fare from port to resort? How long was the ride there? Dud you buy pass ahead of time or at resort front desk?
Another great video!! Sometimes the unplanned days turn out to be our favorite..This was a great deal we would love this most likely would rurn out to be our favorite day!! Love the snorkeling that's one of our favorite things to do and looks great!! Thx again!! Was too busy to comment a couple episodes ago but thanks for the singing and bringing back some great memories we plan on watching cocktails one night just to listen to Kokomo!
Read some of the comments so I know how to get there and how much so now I need to know how the prices are for the restaurant we will have 7 of our children with us so so need to be prepared
We have wanted to visit Bonaire. Thank you for sharing your video. The snorkeling looks amazing. My husband loves to snorkel. It is a bit challenging for me. But I might try it again in Bonaire.
Looking forward to visiting Bonaire in January 2025 for my 50th birthday. Thank you for sharing this video. It will be my first trip ever away from the state I live in. So excited for this adventure.
Hi! Bonaire resident here. Chogogo is our newest “big” resort. It means flamingo in our native language. Across the road from the hotel you can actually spot wild flamingo’s. Bonaire is a real treasure. The reef at chogogo is far from the best and still so beautiful. It is worth wile to stay for at least a week. Even though small, it has a lot to offer. ❤
Do you have to be there early in the morning to get the day passes? Was a lot of ppl from the ship there? Did you see flamingos? I want to see the salt pyramid before going to chagogo so I’m trying to plan my day.
@@AlabasterHouseRecovery yes, you need to be early for daypasses. Might be sold out at 8.05. I would take a saltroute tour. You will see flamingo’s and the salt (saliña’s).
We went here the week of Thanksgiving 2023 off a cruise on the Celebrity Equinox. Can confirm there were a hundred empty lounge chairs all day and the rate was still $25 per person. Everything was just as described, including a coupon for lunch which cost my wife and I $14 plus tip, really nice property. Lazy river, pool etc. The beach was another story. Lots of dead coral and rocks made for treacherous walking to get into the water. Definitely recommend bringing swimming shoes of some type just to get in and out, if nothing else. Beyond that, great tip!!
You do realize all that coral dies because y’all are stepping at it right? That beach was put there illegally. If you want a natural sand beach with easy access, you go to Te Amo, across from the airport, or take the watertaxi to Klein Bonaire.
Wow.What a great and affordable way to spend the day in Bonaire. I love to snorkel. It's the main reason why I cruise. I will definitely look for that place the next time I cruise to Bonaire. The excursions I took the last 2 times I went there were about 3 hours long for 60 to 75 bucks. That's only about an hour and a half in the water.I would stay in the water for several hours if I was at a place like that resort. Bonaire is like a huge aquarium. So many varieties of sea life in a small area. Thanks for the great video.❤😊
Thank you so much for sharing this!! I’ve been looking for months for ideas and things to do in Bonaire that are less crowded and not too pricy. This resort look’s perfect!
We went to Bonaire in 2017. Hired a semi-private snorkeling guide others had recommended. The other couple turned out to live an hour away from us LOL. She was great, had an education in biology. She drove us to three different places. It was awesome to get actual snorkel lesson, instead of those huge excursions. Sadly, she passed away a couple years after. We're looking for a resort to go to with a lady river... though we'd prefer all inclusive. I wonder if this place has a food plan available
Great video. I miss your longer vlogs. Looks like a hidden gem and a great day. I'm on the Rotterdam in October. My first ever solo cruise and am loving watching your cruise. 💕
Love Bonaire! None of the typical stresses with people trying to sell you stuff or put animals on you! We have booked the Rotterdam for January and we are loving all your videos! We have been Celebrity cruisers but due to recent changes with prices, we decided to give Holland a try and we like what we’re hearing from you! Your videos are very helpful!
So happy to see this vlog! I've easily spent more than 6 months in Aruba, been to Curacao once but never Bonaire. We are going in September and that place looks like you found the spot!
As usual, it was a pleasure to watch your video and it was great to see a new place. Your day in Bonaire was beautiful and I could see you were pleasantly surprised. $25.00 seemed like a very fair price. You two are a joy to watch. 👍😀
Wauw awesome footage underwater. So Beautiful 😻 . Thats a lovely place to hang around for the time on the island before heading back to the ship 25 dollars not bad price .😊 . Thank you for sharing 💕
Nice! Wish earlier in 2022 we could have done that deal when we were there on the 14 night Emerald Princess. Maybe not an option at the time or not opened yet. Back in 2016 we did a great excursion with highlights of Bonaire and acquired a bottle of cactus liquor called Cadushi. We still have to visit Curacao to complete the ABC Islands! 👍
LOVE Bonaire. Very affordable, very laid back island. And it was by far the BEST snorkeling I've ever done. We booked an excursion with Woodwind Bonaire, a family-run outfit that served unlimited drinks and a yummy lunch on the catamaran and took us out to Klein Bonaire, where we snorkeled along the gorgeous reef for....45 minutes, 3 hours, I don't know and I didn't care. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back right now...fortunately/unfortunately for my wife, this was her first "real" snorkeling experience and nothing since has even come close.
Man.... I could do that like as in Right Now!!! Shucks, you guys always get to do the fun stuff. We are following y'all from Alaska to Europe to the Caribbean...! Y'all make it look so easy.... You all Rock ❤
We were there a couple weeks ago..(probably around time of your recording on the RC explorer) my wife and I like you two had no plans so we walked and shopped and ate. Then we wanted to find a place like this and had no luck with our own hikes. Wish we had known if this. But now we know for next trip
That's the ship we did it on too. So lovely. I blogged about it, but it was back in 2017. Does anyone still read blogs? LOL. Beware the "mini Jeeps" in Curaçao. The excursion was not at all what the ship advertised
Just did ABC’s around same time as this recording. First time for Bonaire. All three are beautiful. Aruba is just Gorgeous. So hard to pick a top. They all have a little something special in their own way. Curaçao is probably my favorite. The shopping n food and nightlife is great. Kokomo beach is great.
Looked like you found a hidden gem. I am not a fan of the crowded pools and beach resorts. Question: Is this cruise a 9 day cruise and is the longest cruise you have ever been on? I know you love cruising but do you like shorter or then longer cruises?
Thanks for your video. We will be on a cruise next month so will take your advice and go to chgogo resort. Can you tell me about the snorkeling there.? Is there snorkel gear that you can rent or should we take one with us and I am not a strong swimmer so how’s the water and do I need to go deep to see the fish? Also should we take water shoes or is it sandy?thx
I just found you guys earlier this week & im hooked! What a great travel channel! It’s a Sixthman cruise on the Norwegian Pearl for fans of filmmaker Kevin Smith. 🎥 Its called the “Cruise Askew”. I’m so excited!
Did the $25 day pass include a lounger and the umbrella or did you pay extra for that? Also did they come around with drinks or did you have to walk up to the bar. Great video!
How far from the port was chogogo? Also how much for taxi? We will only be in bonaire from 7am unti l2pm. Ship leaves at 3pm. Do you think we would have enough time to spend at the resort?
If you want to snorkel, I'd highly recommend booking an excursion that takes you to Klein Bonaire, a small island right next to the "main" island. The island is completely surrounded by a beautiful reef. You'd think you were snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef if you didn't know any better. Woodwind Bonaire is a family-owned (and very affordable) outfit that I highly recommend for snorkeling.
Do you happen to remember how much the taxis were to and from? Or who to contact? One of my friends contacted a company and they want $42 per person to go from the port to there. Love your videos!

@honestlyspeaking1332 No. Not the day we went with only 1 ship in port. They limit the number of day passes and its first come first served. Go early.
Did they have free WiFi. Also could you use food voucher for alcohol?
@christophercummins2869 I didn't ask about wifi but it may be included. The voucher was good for both food and alcohol from the beach bar/restaurant.

Cute couple
Went on the Woodwind snorkel boat a short walk from the dock. Highly recommend it.
I'm taking the Emerald Princess in Jan so I will check out this resort.
Thankyou am going in april thanks for the information
Very nice, we are going in January
Was your transportation included in the day pass from the cruise ship?
No we took a taxi there and back, $15 each way.
We did the ABC cruise last fall. Bonairenwasnt accepting cruises. I was disappointed. I want to go again. How did you get to Chogogo? Taxi?
Yes we took a taxi there.

$15 each way for the taxi and we spent about $50 all day on food and drinks. Not bad!

Would you recommend this over sorobon beach for cruisers?
How far of a taxi ride was it?
It took around 10-15 minutes
That is so cheap!! Wow!!
How far from the port was chogogo? Also how much for taxi? We will only be in bonaire from 7am unti l2pm. Ship leaves at 3pm. Do you think we would have enough time to spend at the resort?
10-15 minutes $30 taxi fair round trip. That’s enough time time to get a couple hours in yes!
What were the average prices on the food and more importantly the beer? Loved the video
My wife and I are considering going here on our cruise at the end of March. How rocky would you say the entrance to the snorkeling area is?
If you want to snorkel, I'd highly recommend booking an excursion that takes you to Klein Bonaire, a small island right next to the "main" island. The island is completely surrounded by a beautiful reef. You'd think you were snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef if you didn't know any better. Woodwind Bonaire is a family-owned (and very affordable) outfit that I highly recommend for snorkeling.
Do we need to bring our own snorkel euqipment or do they provide it?
Do you happen to remember how much the taxis were to and from? Or who to contact? One of my friends contacted a company and they want $42 per person to go from the port to there. Love your videos!
It's only just over 1 mile, it could be walked.
How were the prices at the resort? $25. pp day pass, but what about food and drinks?
Not bad at all. We only spent about $50 all day and a $20 credit off of this.
how far was this resort to the cruise pier? how much was taxi ride each way?
Do they have a place you can rent the snorkel gear?
Jason. Whats the best beer?
I was drinking the only non alcoholic option they had and it’s a good one. Heineken 0.0
I want to stay there. Hope ship is leaving late.
I think the salt dispenser is a salt pig..
Hola a todos, podrian decirme el valor promedio de comidas y bebidas allí?
I just paid 8bdollars and went to the best little family owned spot. Ever.
