Shout out to Mic's father for being present, intervening and protecting him from becoming victim to treacherous law enforcement. This is why the presence of both parents in a child's life is crucial and vital.
I wouldn't say he's a victim, he did what he did. He was young and stupid, had he not got jammed up he probably would've done something worse at the time.
From not turning his back on his son like some egotistical men do because they are too full of pride, self centered or otherwise. Never give up on your son - they are our responsibility even when they do things that disappoint us or there modern mothers discredit us.
Mic Geronimo One of the most open and realest guest y’all had, My favorite guest outside of Junior Reid. We need Large Pro the mad scientist up there a real down to earth brother, Queens get di money✊🏾💯🇯🇲
These Mic Geronimo interview clips have slowly become my absolute most favorite interviews Math has done. One thing about Mic is he can get trapped in the details of his story and I get it but we only got so much time per episode and I know everyone in the room wanna bring him back to the question and get him to wrap each story up and move on but these stories are so captivating I wouldn't wanna stop him either. Mic needs to come back like how Meth and others are recurring... Mic has so much legendary hip hop shit saved to his hard drive... We need him on at least once a season. This interview has been top notch since the first clip, I don't want these to end... And while I'm here and haven't said it in a few months... We need Canibus on the show, I want y'all to ask Mic Geronimo about the freestyle... The infamous freestyle at the restaurant with him, Canibus, Big Pun, John Forte, Mos Def and DMX... I pray this legendary day is in one of these clips 🙏🏾
Exactly...cuz I made sorta same comment minus the cutting him off part but I totally agree. Although it was gut wrenching waiting for the details it would be worth it in the end. I was literally hanging on to every post. Yet I can't lie about his timing. Weird luv hate thing we had going. Still very satisfied thru it all.
If this was Fredo Starr telling this story it would be so wack because he would have embellished the stories making himself into a cartoon character. Mic G comes off authentic and vulnerable. A good dude
Fredro telling a story: “Yeah! Real nigga ALL day! Just me. By myself. On the block. Holdin it down. Gun in my waist. Straight face. All day. Not a game. In jail. By myself. 1 bed. No pillow case. 1 pillow. Didnt nobody write me. It was early. Woke up. Went back to sleep. Took a nap. You ever go night night nigga?”
Yo he took it back. Sterns on Roosevelt near Main Street. I was young but I remember. On the same block as Caldors, right across the street from Lucia Pizza. Lucia Pizza is still there but Caldors closed down years ago, became New World Mall. And Sterns became the Macy’s that’s there today. Gloria’s was the best. $1 slices but you had to let the pizza cool down first or it would crack in like a million pieces. Gloria’s closed down in the late 90’s. But members of the family opened up another Gloria’s in Forest Hills on Queens Blvd.
Damn mic described an era that us young guys remember from Brooklyn to queens in one seg. That was what it was it was like in Brooklyn to queens. He definitely telling the truth. Those years were us just learning what outside does. "Shits real" see how that song sits on us from that time 93, 94, 95, 96.
Should of let bigga talk about how juveniles can beat gun charge thats valuable info Mic for the youth who get jammed up now and don't know even though gun laws are gestapo level in nyc the info is still revelant
92-93…. Niggas was getting R&R or Probation for a hammer in them times. After like ‘03. 1 to 3 off the rip. That info is good to know but… stricter gun laws is in full effect. Nobody getting you off easy no more.
Never know, God could’ve used that situation to save homie. Remember his OP knew what time he got off. The Lord worked it all out in his favor and I praise God for that! 🙌🏾💯

2nd Like 👍🏽 was mine. I’m here for ALL this… Didn’t know Mic Geronimo went through all this… didn’t know how deep his history was… all I knew was at one time it was Nas & Mic… the nicest!
Good times and Sanford and son was my shit. What I mean is this mic Geronimo episode is must see shit!!! It's real , I can relate, and I'm DEFINATELY locked in. This podcast is revolutionary. ✌️

Frontal lobe development reaching maturity at 25 yrs old isn’t about making good choices, it’s about character traits After 25 yrs old, it gets harder to change your personality cause your brain is less easier to change Before 25 yrs old, it’s changing much easier. This is why kids learn faster then older people
It’s a blessing he got caught when he did! Bro mighta fucked around and caught a body that night! God gave him a second chance, that’s why he only got 5 year’s probation!
Wait I’m confused , mic said in one vid irv had him starving stomach growling in the studio numerous times and he could buy weed irv called him a crack head but now u was in school and in baseline with a pocket full of money, not trying to play him just confused
That was before he signed- Irv wanted a producers/recording contract with him (with no money ,no nothing) and he went to TVT- then he found out that Irv had signed to TVT at the same time as a AR- he got the signing money after, but he got the work program and was at sterns- his mother had died by then so he got SS check also. Recording contracts is not like you getting a steady check- his album came out over a year later. Thats how they get in trouble trying to live inbetween making it.
Can y’all please cut the gun sound at the end of the videos? Shit stresses me every time. I always listen with my earphones and because of how captivating the interviews are, are always forget the gun sound is coming
@@DLOOT11 No shade. I don't know this dude to want to "show shade," as you say. I'm just pointing out inconsistencies that confuse me. On the one hand, it was never about the money because he had a lot of it. On the other hand, he was so broke he needed to borrow five dollars to eat. That confused me and I said so. Get off his nuts and get out of your feelings.
Dude I said the same exact thing in another commemt. He talks out both sides of his neck. He also said he was hungry and starving on the other video but that he always had the flyest gear. Also said that Irv said to him that he spends his money on stupid stuff. From what I see and hear he fumbled on his own success being lazy.
we gotta give a STANDING MAN OF THE YEAR to Mic 😙 one of the best storytellers on MEO
