As you age being gentle with your body becomes more important than endurance and strength. Adjusting to getting old is a constant struggle...
You always have excellent helpful pointers. Sometimes I learn I've been contributing to pain in an area where I didn't even think was a problem posture or movement. Thanks Bob and Brad. Wish you lived closer so I could go to you in person for my neck and shoulder pain.

Mine, too, gets better when I stretch and definitely much worse in AM. It takes about 3 hours each am before I can sit and have cup of coffee...How long do you think this is going to last...how long did it take until you started getting some relief? THANKS!!

Hi Bob and Brad, I love the advice you guys give. There's so much content to look through, I can't tell if you guys addressed or have suggested for someone that must stand for a long time while working. Unfortunately, sitting is not an option for me in a production environment. Do you have any other recommendations previously recorded, or specific to my question to alleviate the stress when standing for a prolonged time?
Love your videos Helped me alot for my clients I give them ur advices n links to follow after I massage them. HAHA Yes! We don't want to look like Dr. House, shocked they didn't correct that in filming LOL! I love just saying bend one knee and just do a hip drop to help mobilize the pelvis just like our initial phase of walking! Always great tips guys😊
Hiya! So glad I found your videos and very helpful advice! I just been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis hips and am currently living on a second floor apartment with no lift. Si far I am ok walking up the stairs nearly everyday and my question is, will it worsen my hips? It will break my heart to move but need advice please
"We" were told for years that a correct sitting position at desk, etc. is knees higher than hips. So which is correct .. Or have recommendations changed? Thank you.
Hello! I am an adult, but I'm less than 5 feet tall. I don't reach the floor on most chairs & sofas! If I let my feet dangle, then it overarches my low back. So... sitting with the bent knee as you show at 2:20 or sitting cross-legged is the only way that I feel stable and these positions allow me to get back support.
@@KysterElla I have footstools etc at my house, but that doesn't work if I'm at someone's house or when traveling etc. Sometimes I can put pillows on the floor, but not when I'm in a public place.
I was very active, then my hips went on me, according to drs, I have bad arthritis, in both hips. Walked with a bit of a limp, physio said to use a cane, wish I had never used an aide, as now I use 2 sticks and a walker, due to my right leg being weak. I do a workout, with a stretch band, which has taken some of the stiffness away. Will never have surgery, looking at stemcell therapy, as here in Melbourne, Australia, we have one of the leading clinics, in the world.
Love your channel! You guys are great. I wanted to ask you a question: Is it possible to elevate your feet too much? I take this upside-down laundry basket and put it under my work station and keep my legs elevated for even hours. It seems to reduce the fluid build-up in my legs, but I've noticed that my hip and upper leg (particularly my left one) really starts to hurt a lot - particularly when I subsequently do a lot of walking.

What should I do if both hips hurt at night? It started 8 years ago during pregnancy. I was told it was normal because of hormones and my body’s preparation for giving birth. But it never went away. I still use a pillow between my legs but I wake up and need to flip over every few hours because when one hip stops hurting the other one starts. It feels sore but not to the touch. It’s dull, not sharp. I have a full range of motion. It doesn’t hurt to walk. It’s when I rest/sleep/lounge. I tried sleeping on soft and hard beds. I try to keep my knees aligned. But sometimes the pain is so strong I have trouble falling back asleep. Should I strengthen the muscles around the joint? I’m in my 30s. This doesn’t feel normal.
I havent had any pain in my back for a long time but I know my hips are uneven for sure. Will I be able to even them out completely with such exercises?

So you mean sitting here for two hours watching UA-cam videos is not such a good idea? OK I think I can remedy that. I will stand up with my cane and walk around. Ha ha. No not that bad yet but give me time..
What you eat has more to do with the causes of hip pain.....cow dairy, gluten, nuts, seeds, most sugars....get all of those out of your diet completely for at least 2 weeks, and see if it makes a difference. My hip only hurts now when I eat something I shouldn't have.
I wish it worked for me..I started removing processed foods and began eating much better to help me lose weight to try to help my hip pain. Exercise, improved diet and weight loss didn't help. I decided to be very strict with my diet for a six week very clean anti inflammatory diet specifically to see if would help alleviate pain. I also drank, still do drink, 3-5 litres of water a day. I feel good overall and my skin looks great, I leaned out , but the pain is still the same. But if I eat inflammatory foods I definitely feel the difference in other ways like my hands feel stiff and tight and my stomach hurts etc
