Dude, I have to change the fluid in my charger so I thought I would see how easy it is. I click the first video and recognize that street. A friend of mine lives right there! Small world. Side note, I had one of the first Scat Packs. After about 5,000 miles, it started making a knocking noise on turns. After being at the dealer for a week, they discovered that the early Scat Packs had the wrong oil in it. They put in the correct oil and problem solved. Now, 100,000 miles later, time to replace. Thanks for the tips.
Yeah I think that happened to my friend as well he had a lot of wear on his differential and I think his might have had the wrong fluid as well thanks for sharing with the channel💯😉 I give a man a fishing pole & show him how to fish. I had put a commnet here two years ago saying it doesnt need anti slip additive but boy was i wrong. Im back here to accept my wrong and mistake. Great video, really shows youre the real boss man!
Yeah it depends on the differential and the way it's set up. If the clutch packs are tight then you can have mild chattering and then all you do is add more slip lock additive what that does is allows it to run smoother. For instance the Dodge Viper requires more because it's set up for super torque and being really tight for the track almost like a solid real axle. You'll see on the lookup guide on my website it will show the exact fluids for each application it'll say in the note box if it needs more slip lock additive💯☕️ Let's give a man a fishing pole & show him how to fish. I only drove a V6 GT Rallye but my God I loved this car. It had nearly every option (Nappa leather, xenon, big screen), it was beautiful with the 5-spoke 20" wheels and was really fun to drive!
Got exactly 15k on the oil checked it the other day shortly before it got to the 15k mark oil was on the F and when I wipe it off on a paper towel it looked pretty clean, I’m going be changing the oil this weekend but it definitely can go 15k miles no worries and I have add zero oil this whole time as well
My Expedition was doing some Noise. It had motorcraft differential oil. I guess it burned off. I changed it 2 quarts plus the sliplock and everything changed for the Best. It is quiet, smoother, more precise. In 2nd 3rd gear it just seems faster. I very Happy with Amsoil. Would not change it. No matter what car I get, it will have Amsoil blood in it.
Yeah I think he just used that to top it off. You do not need to add any slip lock additive as long as it doesn't show it on the lookup guide. I drive a 67 impala as a daily. Rebuilt the whole thing at this point but haven't touched my differential in the 6 years I've had it. Bought it with 30k miles and now I'm at 300k. No issues with differential but gonna change the fluid. Should I be expecting problems?

Update: I changed the oil today and I was surprised to see everything in really good shape. The oil was dark in the pan but was still clear in the light. All the teeth were good and almost zero backlash. The only thing I saw was weird was markings on the spider gear teeth but looked man made not damage.

Thank you for this video. Do you happen to know the color of this same fluid after a change? I used amsoil 75w140 in my rear differential, 06 dodge charger SRT8. And after a 1500ish mile drive I checked it and its silver metallic color, wondering if thats normal or not because the oil is almost clear out of the package brand new
My charger 16 RT has a whine noise when I step on the gas around 40-50 mph my 2nd differential cause the last one blew would changing the oil make the noise go away by any chance?
Hey Manny that's a great question honestly I don't know. I can tell you from experience on any vehicle I've ever switched over to Amsoil it gets significantly quieter it also engages better and turns better because of the clutch pack material allows the clutches to slip easier and you actually have a better push out of turns. This is from my personal experience and my car doesn't even call for the gl575w90 but I put it in my car anyways and it runs amazing after switching - ua-cam.com/video/D_JMIvsSfNU/v-deo.html

So I just did this on my 2019 R/T. It was perfectly level, I didn’t need to lift it up. I was able to fit under the car without lifting. Question is, is there such a thing as over filling these? I squeezed until it started coming out the fill hole and I immediately plugged it. Should I have let a little more come out?
Yes, you want it level fill. Over filling can over heat the differential. Synthetic Oil Protection Website - syntheticoilprotection.net/ Professional YouLubher: Eben Rockmaker Regency Direct Jobber AMSOIL Specialist (Dealer#: 5331179) Mobile: (702) 472-3614

It's a great question Just depends on the driving conditions if I was doing intermittent track days or heavy launches I would do the rear diff fluid every 7,500 mi or every year whichever comes first. If I was doing just normal driving like city driving I would change it every two years or 30,000 miles whichever comes first. If I was driving all highway miles and not doing really much city driving in a cool climate I would do every 5 years or 60,000 mi if it was my car

That's what mine looked like on my 2015 Wrangler with the limited-slip Dana-44 at 40k miles. Those clutch plates in them do make a bit of mess in just about any kind of limited-slip setup.
Usually every 30 to 60,000 mi just depending on the way you're driving. If you submerge the differential in fluid like off-roading in mud I recommend changing the diff every year

I thought you didn't need to add the slip lock with the amsoil synthetic gear lube. Am I wrong? Or do the chargers need more additives than what the diff fluid already comes with?
Yeah I think he added it when he didn't need it and he just used that to get the .1 quart. So in that case I think you would just get two quarts. Not sure why he did that but it wouldn't hurt anything. I've done probably around 60 differential fluid changes with the AMSOIL severe gear and I've never had one differential ever chatter. If the differential chatters when you turn really tight that means that you need to add a slip lock additive. The amsoil severe gear GL5 specification has the slip lock additive already in it. Some vehicles just require higher amounts because of the way the component is put together and it will need to be added extra. Thanks for reaching out to me and if you ever have any questions I'll always be here. Hey Isaac yeah this is the lookup guide and you can double check it but I think it's about 1.2 most of the differentials are all around one and a half quarts. Lookup For Your Vehicles - www.amsoil.com/guides.aspx?zo=5331179

Only if it shatters if you ever do a dip change and it seems to chatter then what you do is you add more diff lock additive. It depends on the lookup guide some of them call for it and some don't. Lookup For Your Vehicles - www.amsoil.com/guides.aspx?zo=5331179
So dodge recommends 1.6qt oil for 2018 392. So do I only need 1 bag off oil plus 1 bag tube of slip lock for this application? Some guys are using 1 bag plus another 1/3 of a second bag
I would definitely get two bags of severe gear. That way you will be able to squirt a little bit in and get a little of the old residual out before you cap it off. If you're doing drag racing or autocross I recommend changing it every 10 to 15,000 mi. Hamlet's rear differential really got dark after only about 10,000 mi however he's making about $650 rear wheel horsepower. So it just depends on what level you're driving the car. If you're doing all highway mileage you should easily be good for 30,000 miles
This is my wholesale account link and it will save you about $33 and $100 order because it saves you 25% plus the difference in tax and if you ever have any questions you can always reach out to me anytime always happy to answer all your questions. I would check it on the lookup guide I think it doesn't require any slip lock additive I don't remember they could have changed it depending on the year make and model. Very few differentials require more additive the GL5 specification has all that additive already in it however specialty vehicles like the Gen 5 viper require more slip lock additive because the clutch packs are very very tight in the rear diff and they're designed for racing. Find Products For All Vehicles - www.amsoil.com/guides/?zo=5331179
Also it's a good idea to always check the lookup guide because they do technical bulletin updates on all different types of vehicles all the time and they actually update the amount of modifier and sometimes they even change the transmission fluid viscosity to a thinner fluid so it's always good to check the lookup guide
It depends on the component the lookup guide right here on my website will give you every fluid for your specific transmission.
You'll see on the lookup guide on my website it will show the exact fluids for each application it'll say in the note box if it needs more slip lock additive💯☕️
Let's give a man a fishing pole & show him how to fish.

I only drove a V6 GT Rallye but my God I loved this car. It had nearly every option (Nappa leather, xenon, big screen), it was beautiful with the 5-spoke 20" wheels and was really fun to drive!
Sounds killer 😃🔥😉
The look on your face when he nails it says it all! ‘HOLD ON TO YOUR BUTTS!!!’ Muscle V-8 sound! Car sounds awesome!
Yeah I tell you what I think that car in San Diego would run in 11.8 1/4

Got exactly 15k on the oil checked it the other day shortly before it got to the 15k mark oil was on the F and when I wipe it off on a paper towel it looked pretty clean, I’m going be changing the oil this weekend but it definitely can go 15k miles no worries and I have add zero oil this whole time as well
Awesome how many months did you have it in for?
My Expedition was doing some Noise. It had motorcraft differential oil. I guess it burned off. I changed it 2 quarts plus the sliplock and everything changed for the Best. It is quiet, smoother, more precise. In 2nd 3rd gear it just seems faster. I very Happy with Amsoil. Would not change it. No matter what car I get, it will have Amsoil blood in it.
Did you add the whole 4oz of slip lock or only half? I’ve seen another video that only adds half kinda confused. Thanks.

And after a 1500ish mile drive I checked it and its silver metallic color, wondering if thats normal or not because the oil is almost clear out of the package brand new
Not really sure what you mean by the color of the same fluid?
Nice car. There’s any other drivers scared you wanna test drive after you change the oil

How many thousand miles can I change oil differential ?
It's a great question Just depends on the driving conditions if I was doing intermittent track days or heavy launches I would do the rear diff fluid every 7,500 mi or every year whichever comes first.
If I was doing just normal driving like city driving I would change it every two years or 30,000 miles whichever comes first.
If I was driving all highway miles and not doing really much city driving in a cool climate I would do every 5 years or 60,000 mi if it was my car

I thought you didn't need to add the slip lock with the amsoil synthetic gear lube. Am I wrong? Or do the chargers need more additives than what the diff fluid already comes with?
Depends on the vehicle and application be sure to check the vehicle look up guide Find Products For All Vehicles -
www.amsoil.com/guides/?zo=5331179
@@Syntheticoilprotection the same vehicle that you did the video on. The slip lock doesn't show up
Yeah I think he added it when he didn't need it and he just used that to get the .1 quart.

Lookup For Your Vehicles - www.amsoil.com/guides.aspx?zo=5331179
@@Syntheticoilprotection It doesn't really "chatter". I just notice a noise when I go from reverse to drive. Klunk.
That could be something loosening up in the drive shaft for the drivetrain
