- Here is the opener from Hey Hey it's Saturday for the last show in 1990. We felt it was a fitting end to week that we celebrated the life of our dear friend and colleague Mr John Blackman. He will be very sadly missed in the Somers Carroll family. We love you John (1947 - 2024)

Its Saturday Night, what better time than to listen to Hey Hey it's Saturday,
with Daryl, Ozzie, Jackie, Lavinia, Red Symons, Wilbur Wilde, Animal, Dickie, Crystal, Red,
and of course, John Blackman.
I really miss that show and the whole gang. Sadly Somers says that bringing this how back might be difficult as times have changed since it stopped airing 25 years ago .
@@ruantengyiThey did do a few episodes I think around 13-15 years ago. I remember because my Dad was still around then. However as Daryl has said recently and like you said it would just never be the same without John ❤
A voice and personality that I will miss and was a part of my childhood. Gonna miss you Mr Blackman.
@kpskingdom John brought so much oomph, energy and straight out mischief to his role with HeyHey. It always sounded like he was having SO much fun!!
@@comealongcomealong4480 I can remember as a kid sitting down on a Saturday morning in my PJ's in front of the TV and I am sure that all of jokes went 747 over my head, and I am old as dirt..LOL
The best way to spend a Saturday night, for years. Mr Blackman, thank you xxx and the whole team, thank you xxx
Onya Blackers, RIP mate 🍻
No mistaking who this voice belongs to ...
It should of been 2 hours long not 28 seconds
John the unSung hero. Australia 🇦🇺 knew him because, as a great talent, he didn't seek the limelight, yet it came to 💡 shine on him. Because we rarely saw him, his afterlife presence seems still the same now. 📞 ☺
We'll Always Love You Mr. Blackman
So many laughs, So many memories
Our voice from above, now & forever.
now thats what i call an iconinc introduction RIP John
RIP John thanks for the laughs and memories you won't be forgotten 😢
I would love to watch more full shows from the archives if you can, maybe do a marathon as a tribute, best show ever in Australian television history, RIP John Blackman.

Onetime our Nan came out in hair curlers without her teeth, us kids said Nan you look like Mrs McGillicuddy!! That was 40+ years back and still remember it like yesterday. Also as a kid anytime I'd fall asleep watching Hey Hey and on waking up my dad would say, , You missed out on Dicky Knee turning around😲
