    Thank you very much, I have been driving around with one light for at least two weeks and tomorrow i am definitely tackling this, you make it look easy. This is one thing i can avoid taking to the dealer.

    Thank you. My passenger side buld died coming home from work this morning. I had a look in the hand book and it's the usual refer to dealer (Stealer) job.
    I changed it (H7) with the help of your video. My engine bay was slightly different as it's a 2.7 TDi so there are a couple of extra bits in the way. I actually spent more time driving to the local car shop to get some bulbs. Job done, happy subscriber.

    Thank you for this post. My Audi A6 2007 3.2 with Xeon lamps was slightly different, but relocating the power steering cup was key to accessing the headlight door. I actually had to push it DOWN, closer to the motor as it could not be moved aside as you show. The DRL (daytime running light) is just a standard bulb even when the main headlights are Xeon. Cheers!

    Great video, very clearly explained. I don't my Audi to a dealership because of their charges, but even my local garage would have cost a few quid to do this, as it was £10 for the bulb from Halfords. You're a star, thank you!!

    • @wawayltd
      @wawayltd  8 років тому

      +Neil Russell-Bates You can save on bulbs,too. Last week I bought pack of 10 x H7 bulbs (dipped beam) for 6.88. Whole pack is cheaper that single bulb from Halfords :)

      I know two ways you can prepare your lights for driving on the right side:
      1. Re-adjust lights - has to be done in the garage with equipment
      2. Easy one - they sell lens stickers - put them on before crossing, when you come back take them off.

      RoHunter it's W5W

    • @GewoonWouter

      RoHunter well RoHunter, lots of patience is needed...you will get some cuts on your hands :D it's basically the same as the non xenon ones, like in the vid, on one side you need to remove the airfilter, and on the other side the servo thingy. After that I just kept on trying and used some pliers...with your hands alone is hard because you can't reach for them properly. It's the W5W type indeed. I replaced them by blue ones because that looks better with the xenons...I've got a link here to show you the correct lamps: www.audiwereld.nl/exterieur-design/verlichting/verlichting-voorzijde/gp-thunder-w5w-t10-xenonlook-stadslicht.html?___store=gb&___from_store=nl
      Hope this helps a bit

    Hi there!
    I've got a same audi a6 as yours but sline.
    My question is i'd like to install led bulbs as a main/dipped beam, but the good ones have got a little fan on the end bit which sticks out 50mm, is there enough room in there so i can put the cover back on properly?
    Thanks

      Gyomorei Peter I'm sorry my friend, been a bit busy :) I'm afraid this is something out of my knowledge. Do I understand you right - bulb with fan that sticks out 50mm or 5cm (!). All I can say try if it fits, because I can't say without trying myself.. BUT! Be aware - if the resistance of new equipment is different to standard - computer might go funny. Once I tried to fit LED's into number plate illumination - it didn't want to work, so I had to replace with normal bulbs and was lucky to get it back to work, because some people (have a look in forums), had more complicated problems. It was easier in older cars - you put anything that works on 12V - job done. Now computer tries to control/check every bulb to detect fault, and when you fit something not standard - it thinks it's a fault.

      Hi!
      Thanks for your reply!
      Yes its led bulbs with a cooling fan and resistors built in to prevent omd messages appearing on dashboard thats why it sticks out 50mm..
      But yeah i'll give it a go thanks to your video i know how to do it now :))
      P.s.
      Ive replaced all my interior bulbs to led as well as number plate light and it works fine, however i made sure i got canbus error free ones.
      Thanks again all the best

    Is possible to change the normal light, like you have, with bixenon ? I mean the entire headlight.. not only the bulb.

    Can't get my hands in front of the air filter box, you don't show air filter box removal there is a 13 mm bolt which is removed (unless there is another method) but the bracket remains in place stopping airbox movement, if you could've shown the complete airbox removal rather than before and after it would be more useful. Getting the hose off the airbox is also a lot of effort. Good video but needs more detail at the beginning.

    • @wawayltd
      @wawayltd  Рік тому

      Removing top of the air filter box should be enough, I have removed the rest just to fit the camera for better view. If you still need to remove whole lot, as far as I remember it should sit on 2 rubber clips, if I remember it correctly.... sorry I don't have that car for about 7 years

    • @wawayltd
      @wawayltd  8 років тому

      +Karol Ciezkiewicz Apparently, washer pump sits on washer fluid reservoir. To get there, you need to remove front left wheel and inside protection layer (liner inside wheel arch). Then it should be pretty easy - disconnect electric plug, release clip that holds the motor and take ot out. Washer fluid will leak when you take pump out, so be careful :) Hope ot helps.
