oh god, im dying over here. besides being an empowering little tutorial, i loved the comment: "if youre the kind of person that doesn't mind high speed shrapnel at genital level, this is the hack for you"
Can't believe how great these look for the time it looks like it took you to use an angle grinder, been making a few myself using a hand sander and a grinder, I'm buying a wood sculpting disk for my angle grinder!
Just in case there's no sarcasm here (can't tell🤔🤭) it's a bad idea - clearly dangerous and stupid though more or less effective. Much better to use cheap solid metal sculpting discs that you can get on eBay, as others have pointed out.
No sarcasm at all, I think it's a good idea if you don't need to sculpt a lot, it's a good way of getting it done. Maybe you should be even more careful about the protections use.
Gut gemacht,.
Never poured/cast holds myself but think silicone is the material of choice for the mould. I guess wood might work but could be tricky to get the hold out of the mould once set compared to flexible silicone?
Well, I made the 4 holds shown in the same session. I didn't time it but using those tools and method I'd say roughly 30mins per hold. Smaller holds are obviously faster than bigger holds. Hope that helps
If it hasn't got a battery or a plug, it's not a tool. Drills don't count either as everyone's got a drill? Therefore still stand by the fully accurate title ;)
Nice vid, nice holds and high danger! I just bought a chain disc for my grinder a few months back, its so dangerous I wont use it until I find the guard I have never used.
@@mikemobley7257 tbh those things should be illegal. Chainsaws can kick back very easily and have a brake to cut the engine if this happens, where as a grinder will just keep going. Coarse sandpaper or a specialist wood carving disk is a much safer way to go if you're using a grinder.

Ha, glad you enjoyed the vid!
I laughed out loud at that moment in the video too. Glad you typed out the quote for all to see.

happy grinding
Holy s... When I see a good idea I can't forget it. Screw in a flap disc, just awesome and simple, thanks!!!

Säge, Akkuschrauber, trennschleifer..
Mehr als ein Werkzeug 😉
Aber ist ok, das Ergebnis überzeugt.. 👍
Very nice work. I have a wall to fill and you’ve inspired me to buy an angle grinder!
Great stuff, happy grinding!

Comentating on minute 6:20 is absolutely brilliant
i guess material wise if you're gonna make the moldes out of a solid, i gues wood would be the go too.

How long did they actually take to make?

Also what bit did you use for the nice countersink?
Hi, just a standard, cheap one in this video. Probably one of these: www.screwfix.com/p/erbauer-countersink-12-x-50mm/8380v
@@RowdE88 Thank you. Hope to see some more videos
If the disk bursts your face will thank you. Pleas be careful with an angle grinder!
Just one tool, then comes out with pencil and ruler. Saw, drill, clamps etc.... Lol

@@RowdE88 if you want custom holds and don’t own a drill you’re going to find some trouble somewhere along the way

Ha yes, those chain disc things look pretty terrifying!
@@RowdE88 yes! I think I also need thicker gloves and a shield over the safety glasses!

This is so good thank you for the tutorial!
This is exactly what I needed! Thank you!
Great video mate. I've been using a rough rasp and hand sanders to shape my basic holds. I need a grinder like that.
Thank you. Help me a lot. Congrats from Brazil.
Gorgeous, taking notes here
Looks like a summer project to me
soooooooooooooooo nice
Great work mate!
