I had my childhood into late teens summers at Dymchurch Holiday Park. Wow! what nostalgic great memories I have of my family (many since passed ) and I had there going back 50 years. I remember the family who originally owned this caravan park, before the second generation sold it to the present organization, it was so well run back then and just an innocent and simple place to spend your summer holidays. I and my cousin and two dogs (Harvey & Boleyn) walked from the back of the caravan sight across fields and uphill country lanes, to get to Lympne Castle. I also remember having to cross busy Hythe road directly outside (there were no traffic lights then - but also not has many cars as there are today) to get to the old fashioned concrete bus shelter (that has obviously been pulled down many years ago to take you into Dymchurch village to buy fudge and other wonders stocked in glass jars, at the 'Old Sweet Shop' run by an old lady (which have both sadly gone).
I remember this place over forty years ago, the clubhouse used to have clown faces on the walls which I think were lights as well. Went there in 1975 and 1980 the tunes from those years evoke wonderful nostalgic memories

Be interested to see more of the van and the place if pos. Looks good.
Always enjoyed your 'inexpensive breaks' reports. Glad you are back in business!
