    I assume this took a good amount of effort and the result is very cool! This is my favorite climb and I do it regularly and it is super fun to watch it in this new way. Thanks for taking the time to create this! Very nice work to you and to the climbers!

    Lead belaying at the first 3 clips was sketch to watch. Should have a lot more tension in the line. If you fell would have likely decked.
    Otherwise amazing and awesome video!

      Damn, never noticed! When it was happening I was just happy to flow through the first part pretty quickly and get on with the climbing. At the time, I was just pleased that I wasn’t getting shorted, but was blissfully unaware of the amount of slack that was out. LOL

      @@sphericalsushi probably for the best lol! Maybe something to be more mindful of in the future. I’m new to lead climbing and always appreciate critiques. Only sharing to keep us all safe and having fun!

      Basically soloing up the first few clips with all that slack out 😂

      Also, your whole right leg is behind the rope a bunch right before you clip.

    You need to clip a piece of protection to the anchor before you set forth to lead another pitch. If you were to fall at that moment (with nothing clipped) you would fall a full rope length, which, in this case, is to the ground, and die. Please be more careful. Specifically referring to what I see as you start pitch 2.

    With this amount of slack close to the ground, he may as well solo. When starting a second pitch, it is a good practice to clip right away (even to the quick draw at an anchor) so in the case of fall you don't pull the belayer down.

      Especially if the belayer has their belay device upside down

    How was the approach? Also at which pullout did you park?

    • @burnsbabe87
      @burnsbabe87 10 місяців тому

      This is on the basin side, so no pullout. You park roughly at Red Spring Picnic Area.

    Damn! That was hard to watch. The slack at the beginning? On the second pitch she had the device upside down? You should worry about climbing safely, it's so simple. Learn how to climb first before making these videos maybe, not sure if you're focused on the right things
