have you subscribed yet?!🌅🦋🐲 *edit - someone has mentioned that the use of a fiddle is not used in Yaqui ceremonies. I’ll do better research on upcoming videos to double check info
We use it
Don’t let them tell you. Some use it while others don’t. Depends on the region, they don’t speak for everyone.
@@bambicrandi yeah that what I read. The difference is the Spanish influence in certain regions correct?

I've seen this dance many times with my Yaqui family, I've never seen a fiddle used. The Yaquis or any tribe would not honor the Spanish with such a dance! This is a beautiful meaningful dance gift from the Yaquis and your BS is not appropriate or appreciated!
I’m sorry that I’ve offended you. In things I’ve read the use of flutes/ violins/ harp are mentioned from multiple places I read about. My intention is to put out true information not false for likes. I’ll put an edit mark on all my descriptions and do better research for my next videos or exclude certain groups if it doesn’t pertain to their practices.
The violin is used along with the harp
I don't think this guy has ever been to a pahko. We use a violin and harp.
The Yaqui dance even isn’t what it originally was. It evolved to fit the stories after the Jesuits came hundreds of years ago. It has changed and honored in different regions in various ways. I’ve seen fiddles in some of the videos of those who filmed. It’s good to hold on to tradition but your tradition doesn’t speak for everyone.
What are you texas band?
I kinda wonder if they still hunt after this dance or if they just do it ritualistically to preserve the tradition?
great question! maybe in some areas they still do.
Yes, this dance is done a lot, especially in Mexico and South West of USA. It's a very sacred dance! It's very popular with the Mexican tribes, but I have only seen the Yaqui do it, but you don't have to be Yaqui to dance it. The Natives still hunt, but they hunt in a different way. They can't hunt like they used to, the land and where they were taken, is different from those days.
incorrect information
I made a edited not above about this one awhile back ago 🌅
