Hi and welcome to the IU-VERSE. Dam my sea, love poem and dear name in one reaction. These are beautiful songs but are a bit heavy at the same time. My sea is becoming of age song for someone with a harsh upbringing, her career is both stoic and epic from the beginning. Many many singers have covered IU songs, these 3 are notable examples. She wrote all of these in fact, of her more than 180 songs 70 are self composed. Love poem is a song meant as a message for people going through really hard times a message she hopes will arrive on time to the destination and sadly is related to friends who took their own life. Finally dear name is a condolence related to the families of the The Sewol Ferry disaster 306 died out of 476 of them 250 high schoolers. IU gave generously to the families of the victims all her proceedings from the "A Flower Bookmark" album tour (7 dates) were given to the victims families. As a testament of this the director (Joo Hyun Sook ) of the documentary film of this tragic event put IU's name of the end credits. I could go for hours writing about these songs and how special is IU. IU has a lot of bubbly happy songs and she can sing basically anything it's just that this selection hit the nail on the head when it comes to deep heavy songs. For me, knowing the meaning of them, I can say I always cry when I hear them, but with IU's voice is like soul cleansing or healing so I always feel much better after. Just one more detail IU was not feeling well during the golden hour concert (a middle ear issue) but she smiled and put that display of performance despite that.
Hiii, wow thanks for taking your time to write all this info about her. I've only known a few songs from her so this gives me more insight to her as an artist and singer. Didn't know she also wrote her own songs wow. I've heard about some of her charity projects before. She is truly amazing! Even when she wasn't feeling well she was giving her best!? No wonder she is so loved. Also I think I might have seen someone making a cover of love poem and that's why to me it sounded so familiar! She really puts her emotions. I would want to check for next time more upbeat and cheerful songs from her 😅😂. I'm grateful to all IU fans who have been sharing their love for her here! 😊❤

Cheerful IU, I'll say you can check any of these before deciding; Blueming, hold my hand, dlwlrma, strawberry moon, Lilac, You and I, Good day, Love attack, Marshmallow, Boo. Eight has a nice sound and melody but it's heavy too. Of these my favorites are Hold my hand and blueming both the live clips of love poem tour. I hope you have some time in the future for more IU and do so with a happy feeling.
