I would love to see a wavy girl method video! I've been roo nervous to really jump into the CGM because I don't know how to begin adapting it for my wavy hair (and I am typically a "wash +air dry+go" person, so I'm nervous about a much more intense routine!) - I'd love to learn more from you!

Thank you Melanie ❤️ I have to admit, my fiancé is a sound designer so he processes my voice on every video through the compressor. I give all the credits to him for this amazing sound of my voice - he does wonders 🥰
I also hope many wavies will find this video helpful 🙏🏻

Thank you for telling wavy method is not fakeing! We should be happy to have such a versatile hair. Break from products is also great and liberating and also putting all those products is satisfiing... blessed we should feel! 💃
    p. s. Sorry for my English.

the voice of reason!!! I started my CGM journey about 6 months ago and I have had to learn the hard way to...Just accept my wavy, somewhat curly/ frizzy hair for what it is and not expect big voluminous curls.... I am slowly getting there, lowering my expectations and embracing my hair the way it wants to be. Thank you!! :)

Thank you for saying the curly girl method is not for wavy hair! Thank you for clarifying the difference! I am also just realizing I have fine wavy hair and have started the curly girl method. I have been really surprised by the wavy I can get while my hair is wet but by the time it dries the waves are stretched out. I just started using the Sun Bum wavy hair products and they do not feel like they are weighing my hair down. How do you get passed the stretched our messy look?

    • @SwavyBlonde
      @SwavyBlonde  3 роки тому +2

I just accepted it. I realised hair will be always frizzy and at some point I just said to myself that it's fine. If it's completely unwearable - put it in a bun :))

I just wanted to say how much I love your videos, I have a very similar hair type to you and it feels great to see someone with hair like mine make it look so lovely! it gives me hope that with the right products I can make the best of my waves too :)

I love this, so helpful❤ I felt like I was faking it but I'm glad I found your video! And, yes, we are so lucky to have this hair type! I think it's the best😉 I love that we can just wear it more straight without doing anything or go for more curly!❤

You completely nailed it!!! After 6 months I came to these same conclusions. But FINALLY I've come to embrace my waves and love them 😁 I have picked up a tip from @ManesbyMell for refreshing...I use a face steamer and my waves actually do perk up! Not first day waves but definitely improved second day waves. I would LOVE a wavy girl method video 👍👍👍 My most frustrating experience is how to handle my coarse low porosity waves. I'm still trying to figure out how much products to use to define my coarse hair but not to weigh down my waves 🤯

Ah I can imagine how difficult that can be! My hair is fine so I can use tons of product especially that I have so much hair. I hope you will soon find the balance 🙏🏻 will plan on the next video for wavy girl method ❤️🥰

This is such a great video, thank you so much! I'm just starting and it really feels like I'm "faking" the wave - do all wavy girls have this kind of imposter syndrome? I feel like I'm scared to ask community for advice, because I'm afraid they will shame me for "forcing the curls" on my hair 😭 This video is so encouraging - I'm sure I'm going to rewatch it more than once when I feel down because of my hair fails. Thank you ❤️

Yes, it can be really difficult as hair starts to feel out of place most of the times. I think with acceptance of the hair comes acceptance of yourself too. It's not an easy journey, but it's definitely worth it

Your hair looks just like mine and I found out I had so many weird little wavy spots after growing all the color out and not blow drying. Now I’m trying to figure out how to make it wavy and look good 😂 it is super fine, stretches out easily and goes flat a lot.

I'm so thankful that I discovered this video, before I was really confused about my hair.
When I was a kid my mom told me I was born with straight shiny thick hair, but because of my allergies my mom choosed to cut my hair really short and my hair turns ugly, it became frizzy, textured, it has fly aways and wavy. As I became teenager it became really frizzy, textured, thick and I dont know what to do so my mom decided to get my hair done straight, my hair was rebonded, but as usual when it grows it turn will turn back into original hair. When I enter senior high school my classmates used to make fun of my hair, some say I look like a broom, some say I look like a witch, so I have no choose, I braid my hair, i bun it sometimes, I never go to school if my hair is wet and not fix, because of my bad experience. I feel hopeless, I thought I never had a chance to let it sit down even just a second, but my grandma said I should try to not to tie it because it will became more so frizzy and textured, so I tried, but I feel really annoyed because it's not going into the way I want it to be, I want it to be straight but I didn't suceed. Because of quarantine, nobody will judge the way it looks, I became more curious about it, maybe I'm not taking care of it that's why it's frizzy, as time flies, I notices my hair became more wavy, sometimes it's a mix of curly and wavy, I changed my shampoo into less chemical ingredients, and thank God I found you're videos ! Now I decided what to do💖 thank you so Much💖 I promise will love this hair and take care of it more 💖

I gave up on the CGM because I feel frustrated. I feel I always have to refresh my hair with so much water for my products to work. Is always putting water in your hair damaging? Because I'm afraid my hair will have breakage because hair is very fragile went very wet

My hair always seems frizzy especially after I brush it when its dry. I think I see some of the little waves forming that you talk about, and my hair air-dried without product looks in between straight and wavy. Im not really happy with it right now so I think I'll try this method out!

I’ve a,ways assumed I have straight hair. As a child it has always been long and straight although looking at photos the ends of my hair would have crinkles haha! My hair is fine also. It’s only because both my daughters had curls and waves as toddlers up to age 5 (my eldest had her hair cut and they never grew back) my youngest is 4 and has beautiful blonde wavy curls that sometimes spiral at the ends. I am wondering if they have this from me. I have always brushed my hair when wet and left it but maybe I need to take care of the moisture levels. I don’t really want to cut it either (it’s long now like yours) so I am interested to try. Has anyone tried the merwave products and is it. Waste of money? Same as a regular curl product?
