- You want a better and easier rig to animate in Moon Aniamtor, well here it is.
I don't really ask people to subscribe, but if you would do that. It will show me that people like what I do. Also this is my first tutorial, so maybe its good or maybe its hard to follow.

This is a very useful tutorial to help people struggle less when making walking animations for rigs and etc. The only main thing that I don't really see needed is the MainController because you can basically just use the LowerTorso to move the rig in any direction. You might say but if I rotate the LowerTorso, I won't be able to move it straight, you can easily press the Y Key in Moon Animator 2 or Ctrl-L in Roblox Animator which will make moving and rotating the LowerTorso between local and world coordinates.
ik its been like a year but i made a rig of shadow the world and i wanted to animate it the thing is when i move the torso is the humanoid rootpart that moves instead i was wondering if u knew how to solve it since you seem like an expert

I understand this was 1 year ago, so you probably wont see this, but I have a problem. For some reason, Moon Animator isn’t recognizing the player model as a rig.
Edit: Nevermind, I fixed it! I forgot to add joints between the HumanoidRootPart and the MainController.

Bro I have been searching to find a way to move the torso without moving the entire thing for a week bruh but now when I move the torso it only moves the top like it should THANK U (u earned a sub)

I have spent my entire animation journey on the original r6 it was honestly difficult to switch to the special rig it felt like my characters legs were just statues so I removed it and continued animation :)

We need this rig for avatars. I am very used to R6 but want to animate more advanced movements. And with this rig. We have more possibilities. If you or someone else find a way to make a rig work for avatars. Imagine the possibilities for animations.
You can just transfer the animation saves in the rig when its finished and copy and past it into the avatar you want

Note for others: if you want to do the same with rig that has accesories (imported avatar) it just wont move together with accesories in moon animator, just cut all the Torso accesories in Torso folder and paste them to the LowerTorso folder

The LowerTorso u can color it same with the torso color but more darker that is useful too to shade the rig
oh, thank you! ive been having trouble with keeping the legs in the same place when moving the torso, this really helped me out! it was really easy to understand the tutorial too! good video.

I got moonanimator a few days ago. I haven’t had much time to experiment with it yet.
the rig keeps breaking for me find a way so it does not break
optionally if you wanted to create this rig but have the arms not follow the torso when you move it, you can instead weld them to the lower torso!
Finally, i can make running with torso bobbing easier
you could just do this with HumanoidRootPart as CFrame for the Model,..

@@errorstudioz I believe what I meant by easier and harder were the rigging for the limbs. Sure, R15 brings more posing options that looks more natural, but it also means more work for the person rigging them.
what happen to the rigs, i did exactly what in the video but the better rigs broke like, when putting the id on the seat animation and you sit on it the legs broke
Yo why when i move my guy his accessories fall off and dont stick to the torso
its a good rig but its not compatible with catalog accessories since it breaks when you try to parent an avatar accessory to it
What kind of accessories are we talking about? If it is layered clothing or the new hair that Roblox made. Then its caused by R6
He just made it 800 robux, but it's understandable.
@@CraftingNoob123 No, not layered. Whenever you use a catalog item (ex. a UGC vest) and attach it to the rig, it won't go on the spot it's supposed to go on, but instead, it will appear above the rig. Every accessory type, except head accessories, have this issue.
I got the same problem here, inserting neck/shoulder/front/back/waist accessories will cause them appear above the head and their weld to disappear. I tried to add the weld back using the RigEdit but the weld seems to disappear every time you open the file.
Head/face accessories aren't affected by this rig.
I'll add a comment if I find any solution.
alright I found a solution (not perfect tho)(sorry for my bad explanation)
1. Find the [Handle] inside the [accessory you want to fix](the hat icon thing)
2. Move [handle] out to the [avatar/character]
2.1.(Optional) rename [handle] to smth else
3. Delete the [accessory](hat icon) because it's useless
4. Adjust the [handle] to the position where it should be
5. Use RigEdit
5.1. Select [Handle] then [Torso] or [other part u want to weld]
5.2. Click [Create Welds] (NOT create joint)(update the plugin if u don't see it)
6. Repeat above steps until you fix all the accessories
it's not perfect cuz you have to move the accessories manually
you should also get a normal rig with the accessories for reference when u fix its position
what happen now? the rigs arent working anymore and the legs arent animated when played helpp?
I did everything but, after doing the rigging thing, Moon animator doesn't recognize the rigs in the r6 model, so I can't animate it.

I've had this issue with r6 in moon animator. When I put it in, some body parts don't move at all. Do you know how to fix it?

well the worst part was i couldnt animate my character idk why cuz i followed every singl step
it's kind of like a custom R15 torso

lol the torso kinda looked like a r15 disconnecting torso
For some reason after a few days after i animate a rig it stops working. Like the rigs stand in place and won't move when I animate it.
