I've been anxiously refreshing all night for this. Since i read you usually put the videos up on sunday nights. Looking forward to the pac-man restore.
As always dude, great vid and awesome cabinet. You're wanting me to get another cabinet and fix it up.. I've done a MK2 cabinet restore to a MAME cabinet. I'm really wanting to do a Dig Dug or Karate Champ. Anyway, keep up the great work and vids.
John, You are living my dream. That is quite a collection you have! It takes me back to the 80s, when arcades were everywhere. Thanks for the great video!
Thx. Just curious.I loved this game back in the day! I have the GB Advance multi-cart. Konami Collector's Series. Great multi-cart bye the way, has Frogger, Gyruss ,Rush-N-Attack, Scramble,And some Kung-fu type game. Anyway i'am sure the Arcade is the REAL deal. My experience is the Arcades are always the best. OH Yea ,great job on the Time Pilot restore. Long Live Arcades ,,Peace Out...
The 2nd 1970 is about as far as I could ever go, maybe about 300-325k score. You'll be at that level in a couple weeks, since you own your own cabinet. =)
Only one thing bothers me about the buttons... why do you have red and white for the player start buttons, and a red button for fire? Shouldn't the white be fire and the two reds be player start? :/
Ahhhh, so the guy who wrote Time Pilot is responsible for the death of arcades via Street Fighter lol (UK was just SF cabs hacked into classics in the 90's, I mean wayyy bad conversions). Awesome game, I can't get past UFO's either, I have the Atari Euro version.
Hay shit lol to bad you didn't show us you changing the ram chips my friend may have a ram issue on his DK a fix graphics are missing (elevator Cable ) i want him to see what invalid with soldering (not for everyone)
There's nothing special about an 8-way joystick with circular movement (i.e., circular restrictor). A dime-a-dozen Happ Competition joystick is the same way (like you'll find on Street Fighter II machines). For that matter, bog-standard Wico 8-way joysticks are like that too, if I remember right. A squarish or otherwise not-round restrictor on 8-way joysticks is mostly a Japanese thing (e.g., Sanwa, Seimitsu, Nintendo).
Your getting closer ill just translate form Internet to English. (Laughing out loud! I'm smiling). Yes, it is similar a B-17 bomber. ??????????? I'm smiling.
Always constantly impressed with your knowledge of bringing these classic games back to life!

Yoshiki Okamoto was the creator of Time Pilot. What's even crazier is he was also involved in the creation of Rockstar's Red Dead franchise!
That's a not a bad idea. I know Todd loves his minis!

LOL! I never thought of it like that. Yeah, this guy killed the arcades! :D
Thanks, pal! Pac restore vid to come next weekend!
No, I wish! A friend of mine did that. That score is over 800k points! That's crazy talk!
LOL! :) Yes, it is a b-17 type bomber thing but it's also a mini-boss!! :)
One of my all time fav arcade games

I finally got to the UFOs on Time Pilot last Friday night. It didn’t take long for me to die once I did.

John it isn't a mini boss it called a "bomber".
Can't remember on this one. The fire button. Can you hold it DOWN to keep firing.

Love the old games and the old days, brings back a lot of great memories.

ITS A FUCKING BOMBER JOHN!
Nope! You have to keep hitting it to fire.
1st TED is the BOSS

Ehre sei dem Playstation Herrenrasse!
Cause that's not correct. The buttons, as I have them, is the correct way. I'm very anal about this type of stuff. :) Gyruss is the same way.
1980
Anyone know the game making the 4 beep noise?

I thought you know about aviation, John.
If you do know anything about it you would call it a bomber, your being a bad helicopter collector right now.

I love this game
That looks like a pretty good game. I guess it wasn't a keeper though since you don't have it in the basement anymore.
