Assam Floods: River Damages Bridge Connecting Dhamdhama to Tamulpur, Several Roads Submerged

Assam Floods 2023: On June 21, the Pagladiya River damaged a bridge connecting Dhamdhama to Tamulpur and submerged several roads in Assam's Nalbari. The flood condition in Assam deteriorated marginally on June 20. Over 34,000 people are reeling under the impact of the deluge across nine districts. A total of 523 villages have been affected by the floods.

How good it would be if this water is diverted to desert and arid regions like Rajasthan, Eastern Gujarat, Vidharbha, Marathwada, Eastern Karnataka, Telangana, Rayalaseema and Tamilnadu. Water from Indus basin and Brahmaputra basin should be diverted to these areas thirsting for water. Both sides will benefit.
