    Can you please compare with latest sandmarc please? Specially for taking portrait photos?

      Hey. I specialise in filmmaking so wouldn’t be the best person to compare when it comes to photography unfortunately.

    this is by far the BEST video I've seen on the 58mm yet. You answered all of my questions and provided the best examples for all kinds of situations, this def convinced me to buy it 🫶

    Sorry but I prefer the M as it’s apples and pears with the 15 log. No attempt to match colours was made, and for these examples the T looks muddy. Here for example 3:26

    Wait...... so, how on earth did anyone think this is a good idea? Comparing "lenses" by essentially mounting them on two different cameras, with the newer lense, on the better camera. Yeah, checks out

      Clarity for lenses corner to corner and any colour tints can definitely be compared. The rest of course does depend on the difference phone lenses and sensors.

    Great content 👏🏼👏🏼 I have one question… would my Fotorgear T Series Cage be compatible? I always have doubts about these standards.

      @@miclube Thanks! Hmmm I haven’t used the Fotorgear cage so I would email them directly. I would like to think so but I couldn’t say 100%.

    The new 48mm option on BlackMagic app is maybe similar to this lens.

    The M seriesw struggles with purple fringing in the trees in the background. However, the background branches, although no purple fringing, look terrible, like they're ghosting. Really distracting.

    T-Series 58mm is soooo muddy. I regret keeping it, shouldve returned it. No improvement over the M series lenses, even on the iPhone 15 Pro Max

      Strange. Did you buy it when they first released? I know the iphoneographer UA-camr had a similar experience but they sent out another that work well.

    Nice review, I've got a few things on back order with Moment, might have to add this to the list!

      Thanks so much. Yeah definitely. It's almost always with me when filming a paid gig or a film of mine.

    Hi Rob, does it reduce noise in low light?

    • @SmartphoneFilmmaker
      @SmartphoneFilmmaker  6 місяців тому +1

      Hey. The lens itself does not but it still works well in low light.

      As long as it has the bayonet mount then yes it will with the iPhone 13 or newer.
