As an autistic person it's not about dumping on Clint, it's about recognizing and not feeding into society's negative portrayals of some people. Clint just used common traits that media depicts as "this person is an idiot," which sucks because I consider this channel a comfort zone for me...so to be reminded that some people see things I do, or the way that I can be sometimes, as me being an idiot when I'm just trying to chill and watch LGR. Clint has taken responsibility and shown that that *wasn't* what he was doing, nor tried to backpedal to defend it regardless. It's just a little disheartening to see so many people try and invalidate a real perspective because they're unfamiliar with it or don't share it.

In your old video, your annoyance was directed at the clones, but now you're clearly focusing it into the camera at those imagined viewers. I don't know how you did it, but it was a very apt edit! ;-P
I feel that my head is going to explode reading the comments... Apart from the debate about if the other video was "offensive" or not, so many people responding "I didn't find it offensive..." or "I find it... blah, blah, blah", as if any content creator of entertainment in ANY type of media could address INDIVIDUALLY what "offends" or not millions (in this case) of viewers, or even if it were hundreds... How can anyone could think that a video could take in consideration all the individualities and the life story of the people watching is... depressing. That being said, this happens because LGR is reaching a broader audience and if that means that we can have more and more LGR, so be it. But nevertheless is incredible the narrow view of a lot of people that think that anyone could address AT THE SAME TIME what could trigger some emotional response or not of millions of different persons, with different lives at once. Is unbelievable, and the product of this era of "own self view" of everything without considering the big picture. Sad. Mainly because LGR is a good vibes channel without any malice in it whatsoever, in all its history.

While I do understand where both sides are coming from (mainly because the most noticable, according to Clint, have or knows someone who has soecial needs), I tend to get more offended by those who white knight for autistics at least than some intentionally offensive Asperger's joke.
Never crossed my mind either.
I'm kind of baffled that someone would even think that the clones where meant to represent real people, mentally handicapped or not.
I didn't find it offensive either, and I have cerebral palsy too, so I would know.
Didn't mind the orginal intro, but I'm deep in the LRG Christmas Clone lore, putting the more obvious bits in for new folks is probably a good idea. Good work pal.~
Great! This game reminds me of Mario vs Donkey Kong.
Good job LGR!
I always thought the Mario Vs Donkey Kong sub-series with the "minis" were heavily inspired by (or ripped off) of Lemmings.
I found the idea of Glitchy Christmas Clones quite funny.
I think this could be a entertaining mod idea for games to add.
I didn't see anything wrong with the original intro. Was just your typical silly clone skits that you always do, I didn't even give it a second thought.
That said, the glitchy clones are funnier, so it's an improvement either way. lmao
Last year's plot line that went no where drove me nuts. I thought I was missing a video or something.
I know you heard a bunch of times but this skit makes so much more sense for your demeanor. It was like pictonary except for the layman's eye could not guess the plot. I thought you we're doing a Adam Sandler skit that's off suit for your channel, but I was like hey why not experiment with no down vote from I.
This edit clearly shows glitch effect, which is more pleasing to my ears. Whatever you do, do not pull a modern Star Wars story where you tell the story in visual media than showing it. What i love about your channel is the excellence in every edit as you tell and show a like or past memory game than adding a quick name drop plug.
Anyways, Christmasssszzzss!()7!!!!?
LGR having to change some stuff for people who aren't aware of the annual gag just means more people are watching LGR. definitely a good thing
I guess, except he’s attracting people who use words like “equity” and “punching down”. If anyone who honesty watches lgr thinks he was doing that they should just f-off forever.
@@mrb152 Amen lmao
@@mrb152 telling disabled people to "f-off forever" because you don't understand their perspective definitely isn't in the spirit of what LGR is doing either.
@@PandaPelley I am disabled and not offended. They are dumbasses and probably not disabled. Because the ones throwing thsie words around are almost always never actually the ones that should be offended. Fucking Twitter... And from lgr? The most inoffensive channel possible?
To all those with comments and complaints and emails and all that "repeat to yourself its just a show,
I should really just relax"
Why would anyone assume such things knowing how chill lgr is
To be fair, none of the messages I got were assuming ill intent. They were largely concerned that _others_ might assume ill intent in the future, or take it the wrong way without context.
@@LGR Seems like they're looking out for their own clones. That's thoughtful.
@@LGR I just want to retiterate. As someone on the spectrum. It is very off putting to face the fact that peopel do view peopel who are on the spectrum that way. It didnt even cross my mind in you original intro. But i get it. Its just off putting.
@@LGR Anyhow awesome video :D
Thumbs up just for the editing. I haven't even seen the whole video yet
These christmas videos are so cozy that I don't care if you reuploaded it every day.
Giving you an extra view and watch time. Deserves a rewatch!
DOScember Folks! It really was that time of the year that you edited this due to mistakes. whoops! 😇👍🏻💙💚
Re-commenting my previous comment. YAY LGR Christmas episode, now the holiday season can begin!
Whoever found the original skit offensive really needs to think thoroughly about their life.
Great video! Happy winter holidays everyone!
Like a couple have mentioned, I look forward to your Christmas clones each year. I'm not sure what was so offensive about the first version, but whatever. People just have different opinions. I liked both the first version and this version.
What even were the differences?
As an nd, nothing. People are stupid
i love the look of 3d from this era
Same
Thanks to you I'm officially at the point where I'm more confused when the Lemmings AREN'T Christmas themed lol
always fun to see clint turn himself into a youtube poop for a video intro
Jesus christ it's been almost A YEAR since LGR did a dos game review. This makes me sad :(
In your old video, your annoyance was directed at the clones, but now you're clearly focusing it into the camera at those imagined viewers. I don't know how you did it, but it was a very apt edit! ;-P
Loved the new intro you did there.
Thanks for all the great videos!
I can see how, without context, people might think the original was weird. Good edit though, and good luck Clint.
How is it not weirder now?
@@krakenloco Well before it was 'weird' in the sense that it could come off as being insulting to some people. Now it's just a spooky science fiction story.
@@krakenloco i guess it's just more obvious that the clones aren't just neuro-divergent . Idk
Dangit now i want someone to make a doom compatible texture pack of the 3d lemmigns textures....
"Leetle bouncing hats and it was perfect!" lmao
It makes me sad this had to happen but also happy because it had to happen again. This is a win.
It didn't have to happen. Because it wasn't offensive.
His editing and writing improve with age.
Like a tawny port am I right!
I can't say that I'd ever try this game given the opportunity... It's just too convoluted to me. Original lemmings I have fond memories of though for the snes.
My favorite youtube channel and youtuber,Clint more thrift episodes pls.
(sees video thumbnail) Oh, a follow-up vid? Okay, cool.
(sees pinned comment) Oh. Reupload. I'm in the Don't Pass Lane crowd; I saw nothing wrong with the skit.
New version is definitely better, it gets the intent across much more easily.
Rewatched just for "Practice Mode".
LGR Christmas. Perfection.
It's Clint's final form.
"plotlines that don't go anywhere"
... you are in excellent company with some homemade series of several streaming services...
I can't believe people didn't like the intro! It was so well done! I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
Sorry Clint, you are awesome! And the new intro is funny too!
"In hindsight, the original skit out of context did not convey what I envisioned for the clone storyline anyway (the busted clones being stuck in a glitchy digital simulation"
I'm really inclined to agree, I did not get that at all when I first watched it. I like this one better regardless though, it's certainly funnier.
I love this intro and the music.
CHRIS-TTTTMAAAASSS🌲
I just adore how there’s LGR times three in this video!
I have fond memories of the demo, but probably I wouldn't be able to stand that clunky camera today.
I remember playing some variation of lemmings in 2005 or so... Don't know if any came with old windows versions but in middle school the computers in my tech class weren't running XP, I know that for sure. We only needed them for basic sketch ups of projects and got to play games sometimes.
