God I remember this episode like it was yesterday. Watching this when I was in 6th grade basically changed my life lol, I started playing WoW with my brother the next day. Then through the game I befriended a bunch of people at my school -- both guys and girls -- and it really helped me in that respect.
In middle school if you played Magic: The Gathering you didn't tell anyone unless they were a serious nerd. You did not want anyone to find out. Then in college if you played WOW it was the same. You would not tell anyone you played WOW at that time unless they were a serious gamer nerd. It is staggering to see such a stark difference for you. Maybe it depends on what area of the world you grew up. Would have been dope to play WOW with a bunch of people in the dorms but instead it was Aliens vs Predator and other games when we all hopped on the lan.

@@Guanjyn you're right, but it's not really about the rotation, all vanilla rotations are pretty easy; though I'd say stance dancing (or making macros for that matter) is not very noob friendly. for me it's moreso that warrior lvling is not a very smooth experience, especially when you don't have a lot of higher lvl tools such as sweeping strikes yet. pull a mob, eat... pull a mob, eat...; you get the picture :)
Bruh, I found it. When I was a kid, I could only afford my monthly sub every so often if I got enough money from chores. When my sub was out, I'd watch this DAILY to get my WoW fix, and it holds such a special place in my heart now. I loved watching this, and I know that's weird, but it's just how it is. So glad I found it again.

I remember farming the Crimson Whelpling after seeing this episode. It took 2 days grinding from 26 to 32. I got it and sold it for 30 gold. It took a few days to sell, but it definitely helped me have enough gold for my mount at 40.

I was about to comment this. If it truly was good guys and bad guys - I’d think that playing the game would be different for each side. But technically it’s only location and class change differences. One has paladin and the other shaman. For some reason people saw BIG ORC as bad and HUMAN as good. Just carries over from the narrative of Warcraft I guess. But still, it’s perspective. As a horde player it made me sad to hear too lol.

Then I randomly saw an Ad for 10 day trial. Spent the whole summer playing. A million+1 trial accounts later, and in 2011 I finally got a credit card and purchased a full version, but I could only afford upto wrath, since it was included in base purchase (Cata was out by then).

One of the coolest parts about this is how it was made before any expansions. it was still a new game, only a couple years old, massively popular but still growing. If you had asked that question before WoW Classic was a thing, the answer would've been that none of it is relevant because Cataclysm completely remade Azeroth in the retail/modern version of the game. Actually, the answer now is still that none of it is relevant anymore since WoW Class is now currently at the end of the WotLK stage of life and people are expecting a Cata Classic to happen next yr.
