- In a lengthy conversation, conservative talk show host Larry Elder said he's not going anywhere anytime soon.
When asked if he will run again for governor in 2022, Elder said "I am very likely to do that."
"A lot of my contributors have asked me to stay in the game in the unlikely event that I don't become governor after September the 14th," he added. "So in all probability, I will do just that.
Just like Governor Gavin Newsom, Elder has not participated in any of the debates so far. In an interview, he addressed some of the questions that were asked of the other recall contenders.

Elder is the right man for the job. He will make CA business friendly and he will give people back their rights. However, there is no solution to the homelessness problem in CA that won't upset a lot of people. Homeless aren't hanging out in the middle of the woods for a reason. They need foot traffic. A lot of morons to walk by and throw a dollar their way, so they can go buy more drugs. The only people you are helping with your charity is the drug dealer and cartels. The only big cities in southern Cali that don't have a homeless problem are cities like Irvine where the police will round up homeless and force them out of Irvine.
Every homeless person has that sad sack story but the reality is that most people have family and friends they can turn to before they ever become homeless. So why are these people on the streets? Because the majority of them are drug addicts and they stole from those family and friends that put out a helping hand. That's why they are on the streets. And you can't treat a drug addict. Almost all of people who get treatment will end up doing drugs again. So why waste money on something with such a high failure rate? It's a fool's errand.
Your post was an opinion based and inaccurate representation of the homeless. Many homeless people start drugs on the street to cope. I think you don't know enough at all.

This was an absolutely fantastic interview. I love how you controlled the interview and kept it focused on the problems of Californians, not the petty unrelated stuff she kept trying to bring up. I live in California. Gavin Newsome has failed horribly. My daughter owns businesses relating to, or in Real Estate. So many people have cashed out and left this state. The sheriff of Venice Beach cleared the beach that was covered by homeless folk. We need drug testing for welfare. We need more law enforcement to clear their cities. Homeless to be given help, but not enough to tempt them to spend on drugs. Big open space, made into a tent city with rules, security, education.
