Shaking his hand has nothing to do with Kirk Franklin exasperating that the Street Preacher should be impressed with him, it’s a sign of respect and agreeance with what was agreed upon.

Is it really, if it proclaims tainted or false doctrine? I’m not saying it does, but too often we say “the song is uplifting and points to Jesus”, and far too often these songs are NOT based in theology. Lauren Daigle has amazing songs, but she refuses to proclaim certain things as wrong because it would offend people. Her album specifically left God & Jesus out to reach a broader audience. Now, not all of my comments reflect God/Jesus either, so I’m not judging. But too often we praise the artist/art, without actually checking the doctrine. So many Christian songs now point to our own ability to have faith, instead of making Jesus the source of our faith. That is a very slippery slope, that can actually do more harm than good.

The street preacher was trying to tell Kirk Franklin that he should've used his moment on stage at the awards to acknowledge God. Kirk Franklin could have used that moment to share the gospel with an audience who was cheering him on. He failed to do that and instead glorified himself. Many other artists and entertainers have recently used their moment on stage to Thank God and Praise Him, so why couldn't Kirk Franklin do the same.

I don’t think it could be for his own personal gain because in that case why use the word as his defense, he doesn’t speak based off his own opinions but based off what the word of God says. Not everyone who preached the gospel in the Bible went about it the same way, some were angry for their brothers and sisters and were more urgent with their words and rightfully so God is a jealous God and holds anger towards our sin aswell , righteous anger . Scripture is often misquoted and used for one's benefit. Have you read text for context? Or, are you reading that one verse and have no idea why it's stated? The man's demeanor was not of the Spirit but that of his flesh. He wants to condemn. God doesn't need his help to judge or condemn. If he is for Christ, that is what he should be preaching and NOT single out one person. He's condemning Kirk, like he's on special assignment. There was no evidence of love in his spirit. I don’t believe that this young man was harsh with Kirk Franklin at all. I believe that the delivery was necessary because if you think about it if someone is sleeping in a burning building, you’re not going to go up to the building and say hey, your house is on fire you’re going to scream” HEY GET OUT OF THE HOUSE ITS ON FIRE!” So they can hear the urgency of the danger they are in. Kirk Franklin is in true danger and everyone who follows this man and his ministry is in danger as well. This video I’m so glad it is now resurfacing and it’s going around because people need to truly see the type of man Kirk Franklin is. You have to understand that if God don't give you to say something in season , you are speaking out of self and that is very dangerous. He should have gone to him opposed to standing on the corner yelling to call him out. That is not the Love of God.
Kirk Franklin should be grateful that this message is being delivered. Three things: it will help you get back on or keep you on track and ultimately keep you from hell if you humble yourself and check yourself. We all need people that will “kick us in the butt” and will hold us accountable.
Personally I respond better to loving approaches and it opens my heart to receive more. Like a balance of love and rebuke. Like someone saying "God loves you and wants you to repent of your sins so you won't go to hell". Verses someone only saying "You are going to hell if you don't repent."

Here is a man going before people who will definitely hate him for his actions trying to proclaim the word of God, he was only telling Kirk to do the same! Even if it was a former prostitute I would listen to the word of God if she was telling me to repent from sexual sin and perversion. It’s pride that makes us want to claim someone is looking down on us from a high horse when they are really trying to pull us out of the mire we are choosing to roll in.
I believe the cameras rolling and his reputation had a lot to do with that. I’m glad he didn’t spaz out or threaten the man but he would have done a lot more damage to himself than anyone else by doing that. Something praiseworthy would have been actual change. It is precisely because he is so worried about his image that he refuses to do the will of God even when openly rebuked for not doing it. Performers are actors at the end of the day and famous people are well aware how much of their actions will be criticized later so it’s no wonder he pulled out his own camera to film the situation.

I agree with the street preacher. We should use whatever opportunity the Lord gives us and share the truth with the world. Yes there is a chance you could be shut down by the world. But who is bigger than the world? The Lord is and we should place our faith in him regardless of the backlash we would receive.

I believe that street preacher is correct in all that he's said. Sometimes harsh truth is better than not saying anything at all. Too many people want sugar-coated truth and not God's truth. I used to love Kirk Franklin music in the early 90s but I stopped listening to his music because of exactly what the street preacher was saying I pray he truly find God again.
I quit listening as well. And when I saw him rapping at the awards show stating that "the lion and the lamb will bow down to the goat" just solidified it for me. Christ is the lion and lamb he bows down to know one especially not a defiant goat! Unfortunately KF has sold out. I pray the he will repent.🙏🏽
As an older preacher, 54, I have had my share of having to tell others the truth and be bold about it. That being said I also know that wisdom is known of her children Proverbs says. And there's a way that seems right to a man that in the end leads to destruction. When dealing with others you believe are wrong understand there is mature way to deal with disagreement in the body of Christ. Personal disagreement should be handled as you stated. However differences in what is right and wrong still have to be dealt with under spiritual authority. I don't know if the young street preacher is under authority of his Pastor to preach in this manner or not. Paul stated that if a brother wrongs you do not take it to the worldly court, suffer the wrong so the world does not defame the name of Christ. Open rebuke is for the Church in the church not the world. Public displays of animosity against other professing believers has the potential of causing the world to turn from Christ because they see us seemingly attacking each other. Even if the young man is completely correct in his assessment of Kirk, his deportment can cause the unbelievers around him to turn away from Christ. Because if we cant treat each other with shows of grace as God has shown each of us that same grace, the world will not see the grace of God in us or towards themselves. This may not be a popular view from the comments Ive seen but age and wisdom teach you discretion and right judgment not just opinion and emotions. The older Paul got the more he realized he was the chiefest of sinners and became humble enough to realize he too had a thorn in his flesh that God used to keep him that way. Judge righteously but do not become judgmental because as you judge others you judge yourself Matthew 7: 1 - 2. You can use scripture to enforce the truth or to comdemn others to death. The wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God. If the young man wants to be correct he needs to make an appointment with Kirk, Kirks Pastor and Kirks wife and discuss the issues he has with him decently and in order. Timothy was told by Paul to not rebuke an elder but entreat him as a father. Respect has gone out the window on social media but Im bringing respect back to the platform. Pray then wait for God to show you how to properly handle their wrong lest you be overtaken in wrong. Galatians 6:1. That's bible. We are to restore people not humiliate them in public. 1 Corinthians 13
Please Sir, when Jesus Christ rebuked the pharisees, sadducees and teachers of the law was it in private or openly? When an influential 'preacher'/'gospel' artiste with a global reach is going astray, God is faithful to send messages to them. There have been messages to Kirk and others like him. These are the ones we hear about. Do we know how many messengers were sent to them in secret over the years? You believe this street preacher's actions may turn people away from the Gospel, on the contrary, God will likely use it to turn people to Himself because, Jesus, Jeremiah and the Prophets, those with seeking hearts will hear TRUTH and turn to Christ. I feel, more so, it's like this: Sometimes a fleshly thought comes up first, we work that thought out, get it gone, then we can better come into agreement with the truth. 🙌 It sounds harsh initially, maybe, because for some, speaking the way the street preacher spoke, most people these days aren't in the practice of. I do feel it's a practice for some to be that bold and still come from a place of love.

There's a reason why Kirk Franklin and others like him are well loved in a secular audience. James 4:4 tells us that a friend of the world is an enemy of the Lord. The strret preacher was calling him out on like that with such courage and confidence. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

His rebuke failed to get Kirk to repent, because his rebuke wasn’t skillful at all. But I do appreciate this novice street preacher. Kirk admitted he didn’t want to say anything at the BET awards because he didn’t want to upset the people hosting or in control. In other words, he sold out to the enemy. The holy Spirit will lead you to what you need to hear and see, what you don't see. That's how we find revelations. Is it really, if it proclaims tainted or false doctrine? I’m not saying it does, but too often we say “the song is uplifting and points to Jesus”, and far too often these songs are NOT based in theology. Lauren Daigle has amazing songs, but she refuses to proclaim certain things as wrong because it would offend people. Her album specifically left God & Jesus out to reach a broader audience. Now, not all of my comments reflect God/Jesus either, so I’m not judging. But too often we praise the artist/art, without actually checking the doctrine. So many Christian songs now point to our own ability to have faith, instead of making Jesus the source of our faith. That is a very slippery slope, that can actually do more harm than good.

The street preacher was trying to tell Kirk Franklin that he should've used his moment on stage at the awards to acknowledge God. Kirk Franklin could have used that moment to share the gospel with an audience who was cheering him on. He failed to do that and instead glorified himself. Many other artists and entertainers have recently used their moment on stage to Thank God and Praise Him, so why couldn't Kirk Franklin do the same.

Scripture is often misquoted and used for one's benefit. Have you read text for context? Or, are you reading that one verse and have no idea why it's stated? The man's demeanor was not of the Spirit but that of his flesh. He wants to condemn. God doesn't need his help to judge or condemn. If he is for Christ, that is what he should be preaching and NOT single out one person. He's condemning Kirk, like he's on special assignment. There was no evidence of love in his spirit. Heck, he refused to shake Kirk's hand and lied about what God's Word. He's a misguided soul ... deliver me from people who think they're holier-than-thou.

Do you think that Franklin would have stood still one minute had this guy just walked up to him and asked for a meeting. What you have to remember is Kirk has been warned plenty of times! God is more than graceful! God has sent prophets and prophetesses to warn Kirk,but he has refused to listen! He is a friend of the world which makes him an Enemy of God!

I don’t believe that this young man was harsh with Kirk Franklin at all. I believe that the delivery was necessary because if you think about it if someone is sleeping in a burning building, you’re not going to go up to the building and say hey, your house is on fire you’re going to scream” HEY GET OUT OF THE HOUSE ITS ON FIRE!” So they can hear the urgency of the danger they are in. Kirk Franklin is in true danger and everyone who follows this man and his ministry is in danger as well. Kirk Franklin should be grateful that this message is being delivered. Three things: it will help you get back on or keep you on track and ultimately keep you from hell if you humble yourself and check yourself. We all need people that will “kick us in the butt” and will hold us accountable.
Personally I respond better to loving approaches and it opens my heart to receive more. Like a balance of love and rebuke. Like someone saying "God loves you and wants you to repent of your sins so you won't go to hell". Verses someone only saying "You are going to hell if you don't repent."

Here is a man going before people who will definitely hate him for his actions trying to proclaim the word of God, he was only telling Kirk to do the same! Even if it was a former prostitute I would listen to the word of God if she was telling me to repent from sexual sin and perversion. It’s pride that makes us want to claim someone is looking down on us from a high horse when they are really trying to pull us out of the mire we are choosing to roll in.
I believe the cameras rolling and his reputation had a lot to do with that. I’m glad he didn’t spaz out or threaten the man but he would have done a lot more damage to himself than anyone else by doing that. Something praiseworthy would have been actual change. It is precisely because he is so worried about his image that he refuses to do the will of God even when openly rebuked for not doing it. Performers are actors at the end of the day and famous people are well aware how much of their actions will be criticized later so it’s no wonder he pulled out his own camera to film the situation.

As an older preacher, 54, I have had my share of having to tell others the truth and be bold about it. That being said I also know that wisdom is known of her children Proverbs says. And there's a way that seems right to a man that in the end leads to destruction. When dealing with others you believe are wrong understand there is mature way to deal with disagreement in the body of Christ. Personal disagreement should be handled as you stated. However differences in what is right and wrong still have to be dealt with under spiritual authority. I don't know if the young street preacher is under authority of his Pastor to preach in this manner or not. Paul stated that if a brother wrongs you do not take it to the worldly court, suffer the wrong so the world does not defame the name of Christ. Open rebuke is for the Church in the church not the world. Public displays of animosity against other professing believers has the potential of causing the world to turn from Christ because they see us seemingly attacking each other. Even if the young man is completely correct in his assessment of Kirk, his deportment can cause the unbelievers around him to turn away from Christ. Because if we cant treat each other with shows of grace as God has shown each of us that same grace, the world will not see the grace of God in us or towards themselves.
This may not be a popular view from the comments Ive seen but age and wisdom teach you discretion and right judgment not just opinion and emotions. The older Paul got the more he realized he was the chiefest of sinners and became humble enough to realize he too had a thorn in his flesh that God used to keep him that way. Judge righteously but do not become judgmental because as you judge others you judge yourself Matthew 7: 1 - 2. You can use scripture to enforce the truth or to comdemn others to death. The wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God. If the young man wants to be correct he needs to make an appointment with Kirk, Kirks Pastor and Kirks wife and discuss the issues he has with him decently and in order. Timothy was told by Paul to not rebuke an elder but entreat him as a father. Respect has gone out the window on social media but Im bringing respect back to the platform. Pray then wait for God to show you how to properly handle their wrong lest you be overtaken in wrong. Galatians 6:1. That's bible. We are to restore people not humiliate them in public. 1 Corinthians 13

When an influential 'preacher'/'gospel' artiste with a global reach is going astray, God is faithful to send messages to them. There have been messages to Kirk and others like him. These are the ones we hear about. Do we know how many messengers were sent to them in secret over the years?
You believe this street preacher's actions may turn people away from the Gospel, on the contrary, God will likely use it to turn people to Himself because, Jesus, Jeremiah and the Prophets, those with seeking hearts will hear TRUTH and turn to Christ.

I feel, more so, it's like this: Sometimes a fleshly thought comes up first, we work that thought out, get it gone, then we can better come into agreement with the truth. 🙌 It sounds harsh initially, maybe, because for some, speaking the way the street preacher spoke, most people these days aren't in the practice of. I do feel it's a practice for some to be that bold and still come from a place of love.

My wife just worked a Kirk Franklin concert in Oakland Ca Nov. 4th 2023. She said people were drinking alcohol and ordering shots of liquor just like it was a worldly concert. If these people feel comfortable doing that at his concerts I think it says something about him as well.

He who wins souls is “wise” or skillful in doing so. This street preacher is passionate and zealous, but he lacks wisdom. His rebuke failed to get Kirk to repent, because his rebuke wasn’t skillful at all. But I do appreciate this novice street preacher. I hope he grows in the skill of speaking the truth with sincere love for the lost.
Kirk admitted he didn’t want to say anything at the BET awards because he didn’t want to upset the people hosting or in control. In other words, he sold out to the enemy. If he had god in his heart, he’d use that platform to save as many as possible. Fame, money, greed has taken over his life. He’s afraid to loss it all for standing up for the truth.

The holy Spirit will lead you to what you need to hear and see, what you don't see. That's how we find revelations. A lot of times we take it and what I call slapping people with the Bible, in other words, we correct people in their walk, but what we fail to know is it is not up to us to correct anyone nor illuminate their sins. I love how you said if you are going to rebuke someone do it out of love. Because that's all we should do is love them. And let God do the rest. Pray for them, like you said we are to lead them to Christ not condemn.
