    Thank you!! For learners, just keep in mind that there a few feminine words that don't have the taa marbuta like بنت (bint=daughter/girl).

    What about case endings? If a female noun is a subject of a sentence, do you pronounce taa + dhamma or the fatha before taa marbuta?

    So basically if a noun/adjective/object ends in an “a” sound, then its feminine, and everything else is masculine? I’m trying to find a rule for my student to follow because I’m teaching someone Arabic and I’m trying to see how to explain feminine and masculine nouns/adjectives/objects to them. Shukran!

    How about ankabut? Letter thaa. Is it masculine or feminine?

      Ankabut is masculine , Ankabutah is feminine
      عنكبوت - عنكبوته
