- A lot of you have been asking for a Dee Jay video and here it is! Once again, we're trying to get every character in SF6 to Master rank. The first step, of course, is learning the character! The first video of each series will include a short guide/tutorial at the beginning. It won't be complete with optimal combos, but should be enough to get you and me started in ranked matches. Then, we'll see how we do in our placement matches and try to place as high as we can in ranked!
Street Fighter 6, the next game in the iconic series, will release in 2023! Take part in the Fighting Ground, which focuses on the classic fighting game experience with modes from previous games in the series. Two new modes will be available alongside: World Tour, an immersive single-player story experience, and Battle Hub, which will further expand the scope of player communication and engagement. Love this series so far. One thing to note, a few times you said you weren't sure if a move is an overhead or not and obviously you can switch the cpu to crouching block to test, but at the top right under the damage it says the "attack type" and it'll say overhead if it is an overhead.
Deejay is the ultimate troll, I'm so happy for having the opportunity to have such a fun main character

I’ve found Dee Jays level 1 is best used as a punish counter, since it gives the same crumple effect as a drive impact and then you can convert a full combo off of it.

I think it might be less than DI, but still enough where you can combo into imagination
@@benro6564late reply but its not really the damage, but its a 7 frame startup, which is fast af and it gives a crumple for like 3k, so you can punish some things that look safe bc of the range, its very good for that and combos
I hate fighting him sometimes but it's hard to hate DeeJay as a character
Tip: D+HP and B+HK forces a crouching character to stand up when they hit. If you use them during combos, a Jack ife will always connect. 😊

This best thing to do after ex fireball during combos is stand light kick, it still combos and it allows you to do the ex fireball combo into a sobat ender (which you can cancel into super)
You get level 1 (but not 2 or 3) in the corner after medium upkicks. Basically whenever you could juggle to heavy upkicks you get level 1 as well

I feel exactly the same way about the London level. Damn clock makes me take off my headphones to figure out where the sound was coming from.
The different lvl 2s are trading strictness of rythmn timing for a chance at better damage if you land the timing. If you mess up the timing on the m or h ones it's less damage than the l version. M is medium strict and medium damage. H is most strict for most damage.
Guess nephew is just bullt different.
Man I hope Blanka is coming up soon. I've only had Nishikin matches to go off of but having a guide or breakdown for some bnb combos would be nice

Dee Jay looks good.
I use Dee Jay’s medium and heavy sobat for spacing whenever my opponent gets too aggressive/characters with smaller normals. Like a Zangief trying to get a little too close to me and refusing to block (for a bonus, that counter can be baited out if he tries to beat my kicks and I just grab him). And for more jumpy characters like Cammy I do his heavy jus cool because the arc on that is huge and it’s a little more efficient than using his charge dp. I also try to use it for mixups by spamming medium jus cool and occasionally jumping in to condition them into blocking high then doing light jus cool to fuck them up
Learning Luke to get used to the game, but my soul character will always be dee jay
Play the caracter you want to play right away instead, your goingto learn the game the way he wants to play it
You’ll learn the game with any character man. Honestly playing the character you actually want to play will pay off more in the long-run.

I never knew EX fireball is just a combo into itself, or a combo with crouching jab, although the combo trial does hint to it (the only one I could not complete).
Can somebody tell me the song that is playing in the background during Dee Jay placement match (before the fight with Chris T). It’s stuck in my head now.
You don't have to put the training bot in crouching to check overhead lol the UI will tell you if it's overhead/jump-in right there
I love the vids!! The format for wins and games that shows at the end of each placement doesn’t make sense though. It should either be wins/total games (I.e 6/10) or wins-losses (6-4). Showing things like 5/9 doesn’t make sense

Nephew is rlly technical, and makes it work but dee jay is mostly about shwagitude. You needa be shmoovin and groovin to maximize this characters effectiveness.
Playing modern so for his level 2 special I can just mash the special button to pull it off without needing any timing
st.HP is also a good anti air when they're too far for 4HK

Haha, the British stage irritates me for the exact same reason. I live near a church and whenever I play on this stage, I keep thinking the noise comes from the church.
There is a custom random selection though where you can turn certain stages off and on

What happened at 11:37 !? I swear I've had this happen to me once where i hit the guy from halfway across the screen with nothing and he got ko'd but his attack(a projectile) connected and i should have died. I thought it was just me being silly but seeing it here on video...
For deejays second super I just wait until it turns pink the press it
I’ve noticed how there are only a few npcs on the beach in the background why is that
LMAO putting placement match before ken finished his super sent me 😂, that's really how it feels fighting him
He did it most times a win was guaranteed instead of sitting through the super. I would do the same thing. But I also have gotten hit by Ken's confirm, taken my hands off the controls only to find that he actually failed to connect and lose out on an opportunity.
What is the song that plays when he starts his placement matches? It sounds fire.

I’m still bad at drive rush to extend combos any tips or will I be fine without it my goal is to simply stay in gold.
Fuck around in the lab to figure out when you should time it. also tap forward before holding parry, and then tap forward again while you're holding parry. if it's a special cancelable normal you can just double tap forward. also why do you wanna stay in Gold?
Just keep trying and keep practicing. It will get easier and easier 1000%. Dont give up on it, it doesnt have to be your strong suit to have fun in the game but definitely keep trying. It will only help in the long run

If I main Ken and I'm in Diamond, then play as Dee Jay in ranked will I have to do placement matches for him too and have separate ranks on each character? If so, thats amazing.

Soooo I’m a new player. I’ve played SF in the past but I don’t know what you mean by +1 and +5 would you mind explain?
What does -6 mean for the sweep?
If something has a + before it, that means you recover that amount of frames before them so you can keep attacking and if they try to press something that's + they'll get hit unless it's invincible. Same thing for moves with - but the exact opposite
+ or minus is referring to advantage when landing a hit on someone.
For example, if a punch is +6 that means you have 6 frames of advantage before the opponent recovers to land something else.
Minus is the opposite, your opponent will recover before you.

If you're good at Tekken you will excell with DJ, alot of his moves are very Tekken Like, using alot of punches, kicks combo moves
When going over his moves, he completely skipped Dee Jay's SA charging move. That's not a good sign on gauging if that move is good.

Yeah, every time you pick a new character for ranked you'll have to do 10 placement matches

Confused how you're drive rushing crouch jab. Im in training mode right now and it won't. do. it. First Street Fighter and man, the timing in this game isnt intuitive
you just gotta do the two forwards as fast as possible after hitting jab, hope that helps
I doubt UA-cam penalizes use of Jamaican bad words. So next time you use Dee Jay and you want to feel Jamaican use these Jamaican bad words: Bumbaclot, Rossclot, bloodclot, bumbaross. P-ssyclot and f-ckree(f-ckery) will probably get you flagged.
