I think the Housewives franchise has run its course. Watching the shows of different cities used to be like getting a glimpse of a slice of life from those places. Now it's all too calculated.
The fights used to be real because it was a bunch of nobodies trying to claw their way to the top. Now it’s a bunch of people with social media followings, fighting but it’s all calculated because they don’t want to say the wrong thing and loose their jobs or get cancelled lol
And , for the most part, the « super fans « have spoiled it for me.
I’ve only ever watched NYC & BH but too much scandal and nastiness.
I don’t remember it being as bad as the last few years , probably starting with the dog « scandal « 🙄
Exactly.....its all canned, all about the labels and houses and things and what brands I can push on the public......I just miss the good ol days of innocence and real drama.

i used to watch NY housewives back when they were on it. Bethany is so neurotic. I never realized how calm and loving Jill is.

Kudos to Paul for pushing this idea. Bethenny, please have Jill do all the breakdowns for RHONY. We miss you guys together. Its refreshing and we need a REAL breakdown on these housewives. So far, the only new RHONY cast member that is genuinely interesting is Jenna...my two cents!!
I LOVE Bethany’s direct, opinionated personality. She is a firecracker and SO riveting to listen to. Unfortunately she still screams intense competitiveness and emotional immaturity. All I hear is comparison, judgement and belittlement when talking about the new housewives who are babies in this new every changing world. There’s a marked lack of empathy in her headliner statements… still love to listen all the same !

I REALLY enjoyed these videos and podcast with Jill. When Jill and Bethany are together and with such large personalities, you cant help but be GLUED to the screen. I also died laughing that everyone was saying take a picture of the tick and Bethany not realizing its not for a “this really did happen moment”, but for medical purposes if she had been bit and they could show the doctor what the tick looked like to treat it properly. Loved this, and hope to see more of them together from time to time. ❤

Really? I don’t think so. I agree with everything she says. Basically what she says is that in their times everything was real and their were „real“ but now everything is calculated and not „real“, I totally agree with her. Nothing hateful about the truth.

I so agree with this first conversation. I still haven't watched a full episode of thee new RHONY (My fave) because it is too foreign now with all fresh cast...I tried tho, and just now I figured out why I put it away for a moment.
I stopped watching this series after Teresa Guidice went to jail..I know she was on NJ Housewives but that was the timeline I just became bored with all of the $$$ and plastic surgeries ..
The new show will never have a Bettany & Jill...you girls are my favorite!! You girls should have your own show!!! Please 🙏 ❤

I cannot get anything out of this really bc they both talk over each other so much it's impossible. It literally gives me anxiety bc they jump all over the place while not letting the other speak . It's too much. So disappointed bc I love them both.

seriously. in the last episode Jill said that therapy and medication have helped her, and it's VERY obvious. Bethenny on the other hand just seems unhinged (in comparison anyway)

I think BRAVO should have changed RHONY name or added something to the end of the original show name, and they should’ve called it season 1.
By the way, the only seasons I own of RHONY are with Jill & Bethenny 💜 The best seasons.

First hated this. Now I’m hooked. You two, whatever your personal relationship was/is/will be, need to work together. I’m in as it is hard to find anything remotely refreshing on UA-cam these days. Bethenny, you are good but many times better when you’re teamed up with Jill. You two balance each other out well. All the best from Houston, TX.

They’re so right. No one wants to see the older cast shitting themselves 🙈 and only interacting with each other. I loved seeing Sonja with a match maker and going on the blind date and then seeing her and LuAnn out of their element on their spin off. I’d love to see Bethenny, Jill, Lu and Sonja all do something like that together. I didn’t like that they tried to add younger cast members to their season, but I think the original ladies are still fun! They should have them travel together and get into trouble lol. The new cast for RHONY are incredible though. I get that they feel a way about it but it’s undeniable. I like the chemistry between them and their is certainly going to be a lot of differences, bonding , fun, misunderstandings and drama. I think it’s hypocritical to say that the new cast is all about fashion and production. It’s NYC and it doesn’t matter where you are economically speaking this is a big part of the culture. People are loving it and it gives a sex in the city vibe but dare I say better because some of the women are young parents with friends that aren’t. It’s very relatable. That part was always missing on many of the shows. Women, working, being parents to young children and trying to have a fun time. It’s not an easy balance to do it all. Maybe it’s not all realistic like Bethenny says but I think that’s part of the fun is to see them become real after a while. I mean all the housewives start out painting a perfect life but they’re all human and their stories will be told little by little. Some of them have been very real already like Brynn talking about abandonment and seeing her need for attention play out. Jessel’s intimacy issues was an extremely vulnerable topic. They may be the least liked at the moment, but that’s also because they’re not covering up their truth. It’s all on the table for the world to judge. I can see Uba and Jenna opening up slowly about their struggles as well. I think it’s gonna be hardest for Erin and Sai because they seem to have emotional walls. Sai avoids things by saying she’s hungry all of them time and admits she doesn’t do well with emotions. Erin is very critical of others which may mean she’s been criticized a lot in her own life. At the end of the day they all share enough in common to make the friendships work long term and to work through the bs. That’s what keeps the show running not one big money blow up like Scandavol and then no one cares after. I think that show is over. It certainly went out with a bang though. I hadn’t watched it in years. I hope that there is longevity with the new and old casts of RHONY. People love the lavishness of production along with the realness that unfolds. Vanderpump isn’t relatable and the only thing that was relatable was the Scandal that happened at the end of it. Production shouldn’t force or manipulate a scandal if they want longevity. It’s temptation at its finest.

Love, love ,love you two together. This is content gold. Also 100% agree about the name for the new version of the show - it is in no way a “Housewives” show and I don’t recognise anyone on it, and wouldn’t watch it, but others would if it has its own identity.

I am LOVING this! Everything they’re saying about the disrespect to the original housewives is so true. The shows brand is built off the lives of the women they fired and treated like crap and the new influencer cast gets the big party? I think it’s misogyny, they don’t value the women at all. Especially as they’re older now.

For me a single mom living pay check to paycheck the draw with all casts are all the glitz and glamours like a fantasy. As a NY'er I relate most to NY they are more down to earth. Or were.
Such a great show, Bethany and thank you Jill! REAL women are what is missing in the new RHONY.
I loved watching Jill and Bethenny together. Bethenny is right that the new show is concentrating on the trappings and not who these ladies actually are, their personalities seem to be blended into one big designer housewife. The old RHONY you did know who they were. Ramona unfiltered and constantly upsetting people and then apologising, Bethenny hustling to get her business going and trying to find a settled relationship, Jill, the connector and fixer, Luann the ‘countess’ with two kids, a townhouse and somewhat lost, Sonja was the party girl who lived the high life, lost who she was and was trying to adjust to not having that life any more and stand alone again. We got to know the vulnerabilities, the character flaws, the messiness of their lives and their genuine friendships and connection with each other and THAT is what was interesting and why we loved them, I don’t care how many pairs of shoes you have or how many suitcases you pack for a night away WHO are you? Until we see that you may as well just flip through Vogue magazine.
Also idk what the contracts state but to completely eliminate one of the realest moments off the bat was stupid! That’s real drama right there and would have been a great way to start off a new season know each girls real opinion of what actually happened vs a fight about cheese.

Which is what made it so special.
To be honest, happy they did a reboot. It was getting toxic and needed to reach a different audience. Jenna Lyons is a gem!! Ubah Hassan is beautiful and funny.

I thought the same thing. Better yet, I FELT the same thing. I listened to their live reunion 1st & I had a bit of anxiety throughout it. It was choppy. Bethany was super amped & Jill was a chill as a cucumber. I then watched this episode and by the end, they were a leveled sea saw. They vibed off one another. Their banter & flow will only improve as their relationship does…I hope the shoe fits for them again because it certainly does for us!
