Same boat here. I’ve noticed this trend with newer EDM. More reliance on vocals to accompany the beat rather than pure instrumentals as we used to get back in the 2010s.
Awful even, lyrics were also a mess. Instrumental is what EDM is all about. If you need vocals to carry an EDM you've failed as an artist in the genre.

They just lowered the voice from the song, you can still here them. It can be done in ableton with an eq I believe
