Always have such concern for the elephants. Wishing they could all be safe from the dangers they face. They are truly magnificent creatures, should be cherished and protected. Thank goodness for people like Adine and the carers.
Love your post. ❤ Thank you. It feels as if my heart has grown in the years I've been following HERD and learning about the macro of elephant consciousness by getting to know this relatively small herd of about 17. Leave it to Adine: she's even taught me to care about dung beetles. 😂 🇸🇿🌍🌿🦋🐘🐑🐘🙏🩵
We are all part of the web of life.Whether greater or smallest we have a role, and should never disturb or damage other lives if possible. Too often we don't realize until much later the damage that was caused. For instance look at the invasive big headed ant wiping out the Acacia ant that has caused lion to change it's prey species. I have seen first hand the damage that invasive species cause both plants and animals. I hope that HERD continues to be successful. ❤🙏
This young bull is beautiful and healthy looking. I pray the wild ones stay safe. Thank you Adine and all the caregivers for doing all you can to keep these animals safe and healthy😍
Wow that was amazing Adine. First Bulls 🐘 then Cows 🐘🐘and then back to Bulls 🐘 and all wild. They truly were not stressed by you being there but they all were secreting. So close to the homestead. Thank you Adine for sharing this with us.❤️🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘❤️
Absolutely FASCINATING! For those of us who love elephants but will maybe never be able to get close to one this is so wonderful. Thank you for this one.
Absolutely my favourite animal (dnt tell my cats), what a stunning journey Adine, oh the young Mama was very stressed, and handled beautifully, the Elephants are magnigicent 💚
What gorgeous wild elephants! Handsome bulls and pretty cows! All with perfectly shaped ears! And how well behaved they were despite secreting!😍❤💙💯👋👌👍🌿🍀🌞🔥🔥🔥🇿🇦
These animals are all so precious. It’s amazing how they surround you without even being noticed. We experienced that in Sabi Sands/SA. A herd of around 15 individuals approached us without any aggression or tension. The matriarch was extremely relaxed although they had 3 baby ellies. We simply did not hear them coming until they were right around us. It is an experience of a life time to come so close to them.
Its amazing how they do that considering the size of those big ol feet they got but its as if they walking on carpet not making a sound I love elephants
Good morning everybody. Its 5.30am in Malaysia now. Its so relax to watch the ellies in the morning. To hear them rumbles and eating. The eyes so cool to see and beautiful.
I enjoy all of your videos, yet this one is so special because it is a rare view of the “wild” elephants. What a treasure! Thank you so much for sharing this!
Imagine encountering a herd of wild elephants on your way to work in the morning. Amazing. All elephants seem to like something about Adine's voice! She speaks elephant!
I have so enjoyed seeing the ‘Herd’ elephants but also the wild ones you happened upon ! Iv learned so much regarding behaviors.. & how these wild elephants behave as compared to your Herd. Also very interesting how young wild bulls that aren’t part of a herd.. stay around other herds but don’t bred with them. It’s all -SO-interesting. Thank you again.. so much for filming all these episodes ! 👍👌👍❤️🌷
More and more studies are coming to light as to the important of elephants for seed dispersal, spreading of nutrients, recycling of nutrients (think of the dung beetle, everything returned to the soil), with differences of plant dispersal and regeneration different among African and Asian elephants. "African forest elephants are known as "mega-gardeners of the forest", because of their ability to boost carbon stocks and disperse vital nutrients.". The turnover of soil and plants is followed by bird and reptile insect eaters. Elephants are considered to prune many plants and tress stimulating new growth.
I can't believe elephants just eating grass all day. And become so huge. I love their eyes. So intelligent. The sound they make reminds me of cats purring.
These wild elephants look very healthy and have perfect ears. May they stay safe from poachers and others who want to harm elephants. Very grateful for all Adine and the carers do for those who were hurt or abandoned. ❤❤❤
Il video è bellissimo e tu cara Adine sei la donna che sussurra, che parla, dialoga e sa calmare gli elephants con la voce suadente!!!! E loro??? Gli elephants selvaggi ???? Ti stanno a sentire!!! Che meraviglia umana che sei Adine!
That was tense! Not because of the wild herd, I knew Dr. A could cope, but I was afraid a poacher or something as sinister was ahead. Glad it was well ❤
Wonder what had them alarmed. Adine has such a calm, respectful and understanding way of interacting with them. It’s amazing to me that I can actually “tell” the difference between this herd and the Jabulani herd. That they are healthy, albeit stressed, is comforting.
Adine, your expertise, knowledge and ability to communicate with Elephants really came into play here. If I found myself suddenly surrounded by wild Elephants Adine, you are the person I'd want beside me. I wonder what stressed them? Lions maybe? Thank you for sharing this with us and well done. 😊💚🐘💚🙏
awwww what a sweeet moment with all the wild elephants adine i would do anything to be in your shoes as a wildlifew lover and for conservation i know i would love it have a blessed day hugs to my babies love yu phabeni
Indeed it is amazing how easily elephants can be hidden by the vegetation even when you are quite close to them. My friend and I were in a very similar setting with a single bull elephant farther off the road than any of these - we had stopped the car and were watching him forage just like this. My friend took out his camera. The sound of him taking a photo [it was a film camera] made the elephant upset - he trumpeted and charged the vehicle. It was a "bluff" charge, but quite terrifying. You really can't be too respectful of elephants - you have no idea what experiences they have had in the past with humans. Adine is so fortunate to be able to have these encounters with wild elephants and she is intimately aware of their body language and behavior. It's wonderful to see them eating the lush grasses after the rains.
Hallo Adine and all elephantcheerers......love what you are doing. Though the two encounters we've had with confrontational elephants, "easy, easy" did not work at all. Fortunately they have been "confrontational" with each other, and stormed past our vehicle with more or less 2 inches to spare......and they sneaked up on us.......lovely day.
Impressive to see so many healty wild elephants, but als youre calm acting around them. I know you have experience with the Jabulani herd but When i was in youre place, i do not know what i should do. 😂
The wild ellies didn’t run away from or charge at Adine because she smells of the Jabulani herd from head to toe.🐘😊 So they know she’s a friend and not a foe.😎❤❤❤
Oh wow what a magical scene it is out in the bush amongst the wild ones, perfect video for my Sunday afternoon. Whatever had them uneasy they seemed to relax/recognize Adines rumbles “wait a minute no need to worry it’s only the 2 legged human matriarch she speaks our language when she is around there’s nothing to fear all is well”. The cow is absolutely beautiful and the young bull is quite handsome thank you Adine for sharing the utter majesty of the creatures you share space with every day South Africa definitely seems to be a place unlike anywhere else on earth perhaps one day I’ll get to visit Kapama and experience this paradise in person HERDS videos are absolute gems for those of us who don’t have the opportunity as of yet,so grateful for them and all of you.💚🐘🩷🥹🌳🤗

So nice to see the wild elephants looking healthy and strong 🐘
Despite spending all day with elephants, Adine still gets excited about the wild ones. So glad she has not lost her sense of wonder.
Respect and patience with the neighbors is a very good policy. Grateful this all went so well. 🐘

Adine is demonstrating her deep understanding of elephant behavior...I did not realize how important those temporal gland secretions are
Thank you for letting us see the wild elephants. They are beautiful. Much love.
Thanks for taking us on that ride, Adine. I felt safe with you 👍🏼
Even the wild herds respect you, Adine. They somehow know your love for them and for our HERD. I believe this is communicated between them.
I am so glad there are people like you on the earth.
Absolutely FASCINATING! For those of us who love elephants but will maybe never be able to get close to one this is so wonderful. Thank you for this one.
Nice to see Adine stop and chat with the locals. Interesting observations as to why they were disturbed. Thanks 😊
Word got around that Aldine loves her Ellie’s,elephant communication, lol😊
Thanks for sharing your morning wild elephant encounters, I can only dream of experiencing a bit of the wonderful life you have there.

You are a elephant whisperer. I love how those wild elephants felt safe because of your energy. I wonder what stressed them out earlier.
Adine they weren't stressed at all. The secretions were because they were excited that you were in their midst. You are a Rockstar to them🥰
What gorgeous wild elephants! Handsome bulls and pretty cows! All with perfectly shaped ears! And how well behaved they were despite secreting!😍❤💙💯👋👌👍🌿🍀🌞🔥🔥🔥🇿🇦
I was thinking that same thing about their ears😊
Thank you for sharing. I wish the best for that herd and their circumstances. They are all so beautiful and lovely to see.
Beautiful shots of beautiful elephants! Love the young cow who trumpets. Love to hear that!
Thanks, Adine ! 🐘

How lovely to see such a healthy looking wild herd. But my only concern is their lack of fear of vehicles and people .....

That was a very interesting interaction with the wild herd. They did not seem bothered by the vehicles.

I wish both herds could co-exist in peace and forge together. It will be far safer for the wild herd❤

Why the stressing? Could there be poachers in the area? I hate when they stress🥴
Maybe they're stressed, because they steel apples in the neighbors garden😋 which would proof, Elephants have a conscience 😁
