The handle and all the knot-work are particularly nice! Those took a lot of patience. Especially impressed with your precision in weeding out all the tiny pieces of foam in the guard.
this is one of the biggest swords i've seen on this site, also its one of the coolest, as far as what i've seen in the thumbnail. when its finished, i know its going to look good, because nothing odin makes looks bad.
Out of all the weapons you've built so far this one's my favourite. The finished product looks great and I love the wood work with the handle. I want see you do more with wood in future projects.
OML. "This is really cool." Odin, i agree. This is probably my favourite sword that he makes so far. I like his video kind of content cuz how he talks and does the prop with a little humour in it.
You are really mastering the knotwork, ant that method for carving the fuller is true genius. I long for the day that I can make pretty swords again, instead of combat safe ones.
I am literally obsessed with this prop ! I come to this video at least 3 times every month 😂 I want to make it so bad, but I don't have that much material of any material, and I don't have that much free time at the time 😭😭😭
This is honestly one of the coolest things you've made! Next time you should make a weapon from Skyrim. Perhaps a Deadric artifact like volundrung or dawnbreaker. Or if you want a little break you can make Mehrunes razor or Spellbreaker (peryite's shield)! Hopefully, I spelled everything correctly.
The cross guard of that sword always reminds me of the Soul Reaver sword from the Legacy of Kain video game series. I'd love to see you make that one someday.
Hey Odin! I'm new to your channel but already a fan. A few years ago I made a long bow out of PVC. To make a stave, I heated a piece of PVC pipe and flattened it with 2x4s. It made for a very thin, lightweight bow. I was thinking it might be worth a try to use as a core for a sword. It would be wider but just as thick as a carbon fiber rod but more rigid. Probably cheaper too. Just thought I would throw that out there. Keep up the great work !
I absolutely love this blade, it’s definitely a fantasy blade, but it’s very beautiful, and I personally think. It’d be functional if made of metal and the Guard was thinner.
In Thor: Ragnarok, Hela informs Skurge that the sword that Heimdall uses is the key to opening Bifrost. She is ready to kill and torture people to know the whereabouts of it. All this time, she had access to Odin's spear. In Thor, Loki uses the spear to bring Laufey and a few more frost giants to Asgard. So the question is, why didn't Hela use the spear to open the Bifrost? ~ 7:49 What were the rectangular solids you are using for weights? ~ 12:45 That was COOL!
I’m currently attempting to make the she ra sword from season 5 of She Ra and the princesses of power. I can honestly say Odin makes al this stuff look so easy!
Aluminum tape would really make that blade pop better. Plus you can brush if desired for the brushed metal look. Just a thought. I saw Adam Savage use it for his prop swords.
Firstly, love your Marvel-themed opening!!! Secondly, this is awesome!!! I can't wait for you to make Princess Zelda's sword from Twilight Princess!!! 🗡👑
The "knot work" on the guard is actually considered filigree, it's more often used in ornate pottery and jewelry. It wasn't used in weaponry much except for in display or ceremonial use.
Awesome work, as usual. How about going all the way back to 1986 and making one of three main swords from Highlander? McCleod's, Ramirez's or The Kurgan's? Hail Odin.
With all his props, we are slowly watching Odin become the most powerful being in existence
To be fair he already made the infinity gauntlet, im almost certain he made both versions
The Collector
At least when it comes to prop making, indeed.
He possesses the Odin Force. The rest are mere trinkets
Have you seen the hacksmith?
Well, of all the swords Odin has made, this one is my favorite. 👍 🗡
I agree
Hahahah
Thank you! I am very happy with it myself!
can’t wait for the crucible
Totally agree
Everybody chill till ODIN comes in
Thank you Odin, I can finally travel faster to different locations
If you take the rainbow bridge, look out for Blue Shells!
next time on odin makes: odin makes the cup thor throws to the ground in the first movie.
DONE!
@@OdinMakes 😂😂
Black mask from birds of prey
Today on Odin makes, I'm buying a mug from Walmart

This is by far the best sword you have ever made a true weapon for the by frost
Thank you!
*Bifrost
Oh dine really made an excellent job!
I'd have cried at the points on the edges not matching up. Looks great finished Odin!
And at the end, Odin has returned to his rightful place in Asgard.
Ooh yesss. A moment of Silence for him

What happened ?
@@pizzapotato7161 dunno if it can be understood...but a moment of silence for Heimdall. He died on IW. So, moment of silence it is
@@Rafael-qd3yq ok ... thought it was a moment of silence for odin 😂😂😅

Holy smokes man! Stunning!
Dude watching your foam crafting really makes me want to get back into making foam weapons again.
A great piece.
love the build Odin. You certainly are the foam master
This came out great.
It'd be cool to see a Master Chief helmet for the Halo coming out later this year.
Maybe you two could collaborate.
You always make everything so detailed and beautiful. Your a master craftsmen.
Thank you!
The knotwork was outstanding!
You should totally make a Batman Who Laughs spiked cowl mask!
Definitely but it might be hard to see
@@donaldtusk2678 I'm sure Odin could figure something cool out nonetheless!
I’m amazed he actually made my request
Nice job Odin
That's a very nice sword with great details!

Hofund's one of my favorite swords. It's so beautiful, awesome work!!

@8:13 That trick to making the fuller is GENIUS.
God I wish I had even 1/2 the skill you have in one pinky... amazing work!
I think Hofund is my favorite marvel weapon to date. And not just that Odin has made. Mjonlir is cool, but this sword is absolutely gorgeous
Odin has really outdone himself on this one. I'm inspired now... this will have to go into my ever expanding list of projects.
Very cool

It would be pretty awesome to see you make like. A small portion of the bifrost summoning thing, to act as a stand
Thank you for the props Odin. Its make me inspired to make something
That’s the coolest sword build the look of it really stands out 🤘🏽🤘🏽

If Odin strapped every Thor-based weapon and armor together, he'd be the ultimate warrior.
Awesome Mr.Odin ❤️
OMG! I was thinking to make this.
I will scan my cardboard patterns and include a link...
As usual, you’re awesome when making movie props Mr. Odin

If Heimdall were with us he'd be proud
Rest well heimdall.
Another beautiful creation~
My memory of the Asa-tron is a bit ringrostig, but now you just have to make that horn/flute that Heimdal (?) blows in to announce the Ragnarrök. =)

You make tons of cool things
You should make odins staff like the one he uses in the first thor because he opens the bifrost with that too
Awesomely done!!
Finally, a use for Thor: the Dark World.
You should make odens scepter
The "knot work" on the guard is actually considered filigree, it's more often used in ornate pottery and jewelry. It wasn't used in weaponry much except for in display or ceremonial use.
And hofund is little more than a glorified key to the bifrost, that HAD to be intentional
Great build! I really enjoyed this one a lot.
Dang that nice! It even looks heavy.
Thank you! It weighs nothing!
Well, practically nothing... :)
That’s super cool, Great job!
Very good. Looks great! Make the shield of Thor Ragnarock that he uses to fight the Hulk
Awesome, thanks. Would be cool to see how "Odin makes" Dante's Rebellion sword from DMC.
9:47 did you use your deku mask as protection?! Im planning to make this sword! Thx for the tutorial! 🤣
Yes I did!
It has jersey material for a filter. Even if it is not a perfect fit. It's more fun than other masks!
