200 lifts in my local resort of Portes du Soleil here in France. Over 400 miles of linked pistes. Those are rookie numbers on your side of the pond my friend ;-)

don't worry, because our resorts are miles better, bigger, 90% cheaper with the best apres ski bar none and I have plenty of access to untouched powder. More than enough for the time I have to get up. Why would I pay extortionate prices when I pay the equivalent of a 4 day US pass for a whole European season @@nibiru9035

You could totally. I’m still finding new spots and lifts I haven’t been on.
I just got back from pc. Spent 3 full days on the mountain and barely made a dent. If the conditions were better i could have explored more but the place has endless terrain. Riding with a local would be clutch.

are crowds pretty manageable there because they have so many lifts and the crowds can disperse pretty good? Or does its still get clogged up?
Yes certain chairs such as Tombstone and Silverlode can have bottlenecks at the busy times. Typically if it’s a 6 pack chair it has the potential to get busy. Vail tried to get an 8 pack in there for Silverlode which is one of the worst but they got shut down in court. Worst I have seen Silverlode this year was maybe a 10 minutes singles line wait on a Saturday.
Crowds are definitely manageable and you can get away from them. Especially on a weekday. I talk more about this in my Park City review video if you wanna check it out.
PC local here. Certain lifts like Motherlode, Jupiter, King Con (my alternative to Silverlode) Day Break, Short Cut, Super Condor, Sun Peak, 9990, etc. don’t have much crowds from my 14 years skiing here even with Vail’s takeover
Dan are you wearing your strata’s on both the darkside and DOA?. Just curious since they’re both such different boards.
I am. Got 2 pairs. Love them on both. It gives me more familiarity going from something as aggressive as TDS to the More playful DOA.
