One of the best parts of this coaster is the short wait times compared to other coasters of similar quality in the park
Avoided it for so long, then finally took a ride. Front seat, at night. So fun!! It feels like you're just sitting in a chair flying through space...no front to the car, and your feet dangle free, then the nighttime setting avoided all the unpleasantness of the asphalt surroundings.
Who asked…..
@@kinsleywest7014 Shush, it’s a comment
@@kinsleywest7014 I did
I loved the night rides i got on scream! With the added bonus of the cold california night air! It's so fun!
Exactly!! I love this ride and
I'm gonna say it - I honestly don't get the hate. It's a solid B tier coaster that pulls some decent forces, nothing mind blowing, but I think the rattle is a bit over exaggerated.
The rattle is inconsistent. I was a big fan of Scream for years and agreed that it was super underrated, but every once in a while the rattle will come back and give me a massive headache.
Dominator has developed the same rattle especially in the second half of the circuit
It might be a train thing, different trains maybe aged in different ways. Last two rides have been fantastic on this ride, but I’ve still had bad rides
1. They need to address themeing.
2. They need to adjust the wheels to the proper gap around the track.
3. They need to ensure the car connecting bearings aren't worn.
4. This is a great coaster and doesn't deserve the hate it gets.
5. Move it to my back yard. I miss it. Georgia isn't the same.
The rattle makes my damn head hurt. Glad I'm not the one who has experienced it. I could have sworn when I rode it previously that it was smooth as butter.
This ride doesn't look too bad - the scenery is atrocious, but Six Flags isn't exactly renowned for having great visuals on rides. Old B&Ms have a rattle, but the forces make up for it. Definitely looks like an underrated ride.
being on it myself-I can confirm it does have a bit of rattle, but not worse than Anton Schwarzkopf's Colossus The Fire Dragon at Lagoon, (in Utah) or that same park's wooden coaster.
@@atlastanker never been out to Lagoon, hoping to get out to MM sometime next month. Shame it sounds like Apocalypse is super hit or miss, only GCI I've been on was Thunderhead in 2019 and that thing beat me to a pulp. Heard Apocalypse was somewhat smoother but it seems like almost all woodies are generally hit or miss.
What's a B&M?
@@eatassonthefirstdate Bolliger and Mabillard, a roller coaster manufacturer. They were the ones who built this, along with other popular rides such as Fury 325, Incredible Hulk Coaster, and a ton of others. Any inverted ride that's somewhat decent is probably built by them.
@@JohnDoe-hx9vm ahhhh okay gotcha thanks man!!!!!
Six Flags Magic Mountain is my favorite amusement park. I used to live walking distance from the park, that’s when Viper was new.
Gosh that was a while ago
I remember when Batman the Ride opened and Viper was finally dethroned as the biggest and baddest coaster in the park. For the longest time it was the only ride I was afraid of.
One of my favorites at six flags magic mountain. Smooth and well paced.
Yes, it being in a parking lot sucks. Yes, the lack of theming sucks. Yes, the name sucks. The ride itself though, is perfectly fine and quite fun. Shame Six Flags handicapped the ride so badly
Scream about it
@@webguy943 XD
I thought it was forceless and boring
I totally u debts and all the criticisms it’s received. But I also agree, technically, it’s such a smooth and fun ride. Maybe the easiest way to solve Scream is to give it the VR Headset treatment that Revolution got a few years ago.
idk i think it’s a fun ride for people who still have fears of the drops (me) and like all the loops and turns without having to worry about my stomach falling out of my ass and still being able to enjoy the thrill 🤷🏽♀️ i feel there’s still plenty of crazy thrill rides at the park
This ride isn't even BAD to be honest, it's honestly a WARM up ride when you arrive here at Six Flags, Rode it for the First time at the front row and saw how people complained about it and decided to check it out I actually enjoyed it.
Yeah, I usually go on it multiple times in a row because of the short wait
Yeah, the thing it falls short is it just uses copycat b&m elements you can find on their better rides, and it's only decently forceful
Underrated ride, I love the color scheme
Really catches your attention
And the awesome theming around the coaster
@@johnfoltz8183That's the core issue with it. There isn't any
@@johnfoltz8183ah yes universal theming! so amazing
This ride is great I did it multiple times when I went, floorless feeling is crazy when you do the loops
I literally loved this ride front row and it was my first six flags roller coaster front row
Last time I visited Six Flags I saved this ride until the end. It's in a far corner, doesn't look spectacular from afar, and as others noted, it's in...a parking lot. But this is one of their best rides. Smooth, long, several inversions.
I loved sitting on the first row! This was our starter ride!!❤
Do you get that stomach feeling 😢
Scream is so silky smooth and fast that I never find myself screaming. Honestly, I’ll sometimes just close my eyes and nap through it lmao and I don’t mean that in a bad way either.
Ah yes, the Parking Lot coaster. They didn't even bother repaving over the parking lot stalls. It's fun enough. I like the ever looming fear that the track could rip my feet off at any moment.
This ride isn’t even bad at all you don’t really feel your soul come out your body this is like a warmup ride for 6flags
and this exactly like someone like me needs hahaha😂😂 I love mr freeze at the six flags in st Louis though it’s terrifying but fun
Most slept on ride at the park honestly one of my favorites and usually the first coaster I go on when I get in the park
I always really enjoyed this ride when I went on it, I always make a point to go on it when Im at magic mountain
Such an awesome ride if you are just getting in to coasters. Not very intense, but has a very fun layout.
I really like the theming on this ride. Very underrated.

If I can contribute, I would like to score a theme for your opening logo (if you want).
always a decent ride. and it’s near some popular coasters so riding scream always ups the daily ride count
Amazing. The ride is literally called 'SCREAM'.. but I didn't hear ANYONE making a sound!?
There were screams, just hard to hear with the wind
There were screams
theres hardly any screams lol
went on today and i was the only one screaming
Nigga you deaf
Ok this ride is criminally underrated (obviously) and yes i do feel the rattle but to be honestly i think it adds to the experience
The only theme parks that I went to are Six Flags Great America, Mount Olympus, Silver Dollar City, and Cedar Point, and by far my most favorite theme parks now are Cedar Point and Six Flags Great America. I also went to Cedar Point for the first time ever last year from July 29th-August 1st, and it was the best vacation that I ever had and now my most favorite roller coasters are Millennium Force, Raging Bull, Top Thrill Dragster, and Goliath.
Literally Kumba except it drops to the right instead of left. This is amazing, glad to know that track will live on if kumba is demolished
The dispatcher: If you didn't want to ride this it's too late. Lmao 🤣
I wonder if they are told to say that. I just rode this a couple days ago and he said the same thing.
Good entry level ride for big rides tbh, sit in the back and it’s so much fun
When I was 12 my aunt forced me to go on scream when I didn’t want to. It was my first time ever coming to six flags. I started crying but at the end realized that it was my favorite coaster at six flags
bro when I was 12 I was already riding all the huge rides at magic mountain and I rode X2 when I was 11 and laughed super hard not scared and didn't scream at all. Parents basically inject fear into you. Don't ride any rides though so there's less wait time in them
I remember riding scream 🙀 as a teenager and I enjoyed it.
This ride is so underrated.
I don't get why ppl don't like it. I personally don't mind the "scenery", it feels like the park is stretching into the parking lot and I like it for some reason
I love this ride 🤗💗
Fantastic roller coasters.
For anyone curious. The station song playing in the beginning of the video is *Darude - Let The Music Take Control*
You're welcome. :)
The whole album plays and some song called Addicted To Bass
The horn just lets you know that your about to experience doom
Hey I’m going today and I hate rides when ive been on hold rusher, revoltuion, ninja and jet stream. You think I can do this ride or is it too bad ? I hate the stomach feeling
@@username7587 yah definitely
@@XOAngxlz yah I Can or yah it’s too bad lol we didn’t end up going that day we’re going this weekend lol
@@XOAngxlz also I’ve done west coast and apocalypse
This is one of the most underrated roller coasters in six flags. The wait time is usually less than 20 mins and it’s super worth it! If you’re ever there, you should really try it out!
I just wanna know who at SFMM was like "hey, we've got this 200ft tall orange and blue coaster, but you know what we don't have... a blue and orange coaster!"
Goliath is orange and teal.
Let me get this straight. The tracks are blue for Bizarro and Support pylons are Orange for The New Medusa at Six Flags New Jersey.
B&M are so creative with their layouts 🥱
This one is a clone
Jamie C there best invert is Nemesis but there hyper and gigga costers there best
Well, there’s my daily dose of “fuck that”
Scream is the perfect warm up ride. My gf and I always ride scream first when we go to six flags
Been on Bizarro (formerly Medusa) many times at Six Flags in NJ. Lots of fun.
It’s Medusa again. They rethemed it a while back
@@shulmpino5505 You move to another state and lose all touch!
@@michaelanderson2881 hey I live in Vegas where there’s really no good parks around but I enjoy staying up to date with six flags parks. It was Medusa when I went July 28
@@shulmpino5505 Thanks for the update. Hope you had fun!
That's an awesome & fantastic roller coaster! That's really great ride 👍
This coaster is WILD! Super fast, the lift hill is insanely high, and it inverts you tons of times. High and fast I can handle, but inversion?! Nope! Couldn't be me! 😨
You say that when Goliath is almost right next to this 😂
@@hellacia8151 what?
This ride is quite tame @@arielnicholson1349Lift hill is fairly short by thrill ride standards, cars are overhead so you don't feel most of the forces, you could sleep on this fear is all In your head
I was just watching the roller coaster front seat POV scene from The Brady Bunch King's Island episode and that brought me here 😊😊😊
It's a shame it was built over a parking lot. Gives it a kind of depressing carnival ride feel.
Just like Kraken® here at SeaWorld Orlando. Love it.
Looks pretty cool to me. Nothing over the top but a decent coaster
I love this ride
I like this one. It has good moves to it. 👍
Scream Is So Underrated. People say it’s rough and boring but it was smooth and Fun. I don’t Get The Hate And It’s In My Top 25.
I don’t know if it was the ride I got but it was insanely rough
Next time I take a trip to Magic Mountain, I plan to ride this! It honestly doesn't look that bad. It doesn't look any worse than Incredicoaster. And thats a good coaster! This ride actually looks pretty fun! The only reason I have never ridden it is because it is always down when I try to ride it
Scream is my fav ride at magic
One of my favorite rides there
Looked like fun to me!
lub this ride my brothers favorite
Wow what a coaster.
Same layout at Green Lantern? Just less painful…..
not really? similar elements but very different experiences
green lantern is a stand up and *doesn’t* have a cobra roll or a zero-g roll
@@vulpkip2172 Yah i think he meant to say bizzaro Green lantern is nothing like scream or bizzaro
@@Coasters_cut yeah i mean, i kinda get a mix up like that, to the GP it probably just is two similar looking parking lot coasters with inversions
Totally different layouts. Scream has less force and the B&M "rattle" , riddler has more of that B&M "feel" and forcefullness.
A lot of people don't like scream, but I live it. Would be nice to see that asphalt under it removed and some plants and themeing put in.
At least when king's dominion put dominator in the parking lot they had the common sense to add grass underneath the ride instead of leaving the pavement of the former bus parking lot behind.
Nice!👍
Wait people hate on this coaster? It's one of my favorites It's so smooth!
Looks great! Hope to experience it one day. They should put some trees and grass around it to give it a better look
Definitely would be better than looking at the old parking lot asphalt.
@Theme Park POV yea I think some trees, hills and grass could do wonders for this ride. OR theme it out with some huge pictures from the movie Scream
I feel like I'm on the roller coaster.
I’ve ridden scream, it’s like a BM floor less, I think it’s pretty much the same as Kraken at SW Orlando
Kraken has a smaller vertical loop after the midcourse brake run followed by a corkscrew while Scream has two corkscrews. Scream is a mirror version of Bizzarro at Great Adventure
It's a carbon copy of Kumba at Busch Gardens Tampa. There's even a side-by-side vid: ua-cam.com/video/hmM37agPYlE/v-deo.html
@@coreymccord3485 they're by the same manufacturer-_-
@@felixarriola2346 thank you Mr. Obvious for stating mine -_-
I missed thus ride somehow. I guess I gotta go back 😂
Not the smoothest ride but it's good to do once a visit. Any more would require Tylenol! Medusa up at Discovery Kingdom is way smoother. I actually prefer Viper over Scream because of where my head is relative to the restraints. Less head banging.
I want to go to six Flags again, mostly for this ride.. I didn't get to go on it the two times i was there.
This is my favorite
I love this ride lol
Can we keep the volume of the wind down to a minimum next time. It's too loud.
This seems like a great ride. But, to me, it's a bit too short. Also, would like to see a long corkscrew on this ride or something on that order. 👍
This look pretty fun.
Ahhh gotta love the reverse Medusa..
That looks like a lot of fun!
Great film work.
Omg I miss that place so much
That was pretty quick.
Wow!
I like the New York coaster colors
Congrats on getting on a ride that is ALWAYS DOWN
I loved it
Solid C ride!
Scream: we built it in the parking lot!
people hate this ride? can't see why. it's one of my favorites
Okay. That horn is not what I’m used to 🙄
They should really be saying "have fun with your migraine after." Honestly this coaster needs a little tlc. I’ve been on this coaster at least 10 times since it opened & around 2014 if you were under 5’6 you get roughed up quite a lot. Before that though it was an awesome coaster.
Lol, 2014 was when I went from "Not a fan." to "I HATE this coaster.".
I felt it and I hate huge roller coasters so this was kind of scary lol
Im going today and hate rides (terrified) I’ve been on ninja, jet stream, new revolution, gold rusher, you think I can do this ride ? I hate the feeling in my stomach
Still the best parking lot coaster to date
cough cough king da ka?
honestly it goes much quicker than it looks, the drop and loopdy loops arent even that bad, and i went on it yesterday so ik whqt im saying
Reminds me of Medusa at six flags great adventures in nj with the M in the ride
the only thing 'Scream' is screaming is I NEED A RE THEME
I fell asleep - ride over now I'll stand in line for a cup of coffee.
So much loops!
this ride is so fun, i don’t get why it gets so much hate.
Paint it black and dark theme THE FCK out if this ride and it will draw bitter hearts back.
The cult classic of coasters. I love scream. It’s 6 flags not Disneyland, chill about the theming.
Guys I been on it it’s so good after the first loop it’s so easy
I hope they fired the B&M engineer who loved to design a twist before the first drop, instead of just straight down
This is Medusa but going right instead of left💀
Wow
