It's Valentines season! I hope you enjoy this watercolor heart drop tutorial in real time. There are lot's of beautiful Valentines cards coming your way in the coming weeks!
There is so much more I understand after watching this tutorial. I thought I could understand the principles and steps from just looking at the water droplet. I was wrong! After watching you, now I realize creating the background with an empty space allowed you to create the highlight. Although it might be interesting to see the light coming from two directions I think you made a good call on putting the highlight on just one side of the heart. I try to imagine where the beam of light would be coming from, and this allows the beam to come from the left, and land below the heart. One side might be easier to practice my first go round. My husband says it looks like the heart you created is made from sea glass. It is really beautiful. Thank you! Now to go try it myself:)
Happy birthday Julia! I haven’t yet learned how to make water droplets, let alone heart droplets! I’ll be practicing later for sure. Thank you so much for your tutorials.
Happy Early Birthday! It will also be my 25th wedding anniversary this year. Thanks for sharing this. I will be making my husband’s anniversary card this year thanks to you and this Rad tutorial! Thanks again.
I love this! My birthday is also Valentine’s Day, and I also thought the school parties were all about me! No wonder we’re narcissists, huh? 😂😂 Happy Early Birthday! I’ll be 50 this year! 😍
I’ve painted water drops but never a heart shape! I love it!! You used a beautiful shade of pink. It didn’t look like a watered down red. Would you please tell me what color you used? Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful heart ❤️!
Thanks for the video! Compared to the water drop, the white area looked dingy, which is why I think it didn’t turn out as lifelike. Was you water dirty, or could it be your pink has some gray in it? Maybe a different shade of pink, a brighter pink, would be better for this technique? Just a thought.
All good points - I sometimes dip a dirty paintbrush into another color. This would also look better on cotton paper. The idea and process is there and that's what matters ;)

This is so cute ♥ and I love that your shadow did not come out how you initially wanted because I learned a lot from the way you fixed it.

Hi do you have a video on your blue water drop posted next to heart? I can’t seem to find it.
I love your work 👏
It's in there somewhere, click on 'all uploads' on my channel.

Where is the product description? Usually under the drop down arrow, but I don’t see it. TY!
It's there somewhere - look for a little down arrow!
@@JuliaLisArt Down arrow didn’t offer anything but notifications. That’s ok. 🥰
