Navi is my favorite T1 team but I love cheering for an underdog and watching goodass CS. But reading the chat during the finals was atrocious, so much dumb spam and hate, I’m convinced it was 50% bots
I sometimes think esports fans yearn for the online/COVID era as it was really the only time you could have big events without a crowd conflicting with competitive integrity. It feels like every other event with a crowd in every other esport has gotten nothing but backlash for being too loud, toxic, biased or cheering at the wrong time.
@@kkiuoi there’s still the issue of visual queues and vibrations through the floor giving plays away. There’s only so much you can do when you’re packing out stadiums with 10K+ attendees. The only real "fixes"are to have the players play in an entirely separate building or just not have the crowds at all, but having the crowd present with the players during major events are just a part of the experience.
@CR0WYT i genuinely dont see whats wrong with them being in a separate space. The space could have one sided glass and be literally away from the crowd on a raised platform. Ive been to one of these events and was at the front and still you cant see much. Its not like sports where it matters you all watch the observer view on the big screen anyway. I just think so much of these controversies could be solved by simply moving the players away from the arena lol.

You can turn on any major event video on the youtube and you can hear&feel the crowd. The problem was the crowd is too close to players in this tournament. I don't recall any event played this close to crowd before. Maybe there are examples, I just can't remember any at the moment. Maybe they need to fix that.

when the crowd is not just being the crowd, but actually giving out positions in a language only one team understands, it is absolutely to blame because it destroys the competitive integrity. Just imagine if the crowd was shouting info in Russian to NAVI? the turks would go wild
@@nergal2741 yeah it's on the organizer to prevent that, the crowd doesnt have a responsiblity to be mindful of competitive integrity, its on the organizer to uphold the integrity. What??? Are you serious? Did you see the match even? Everyone in the room was sitting down enjoying CS, except the turkish dogs were constantly standing up shouting and shouting and shouting, also blocking the view from the other fans sitting behind them. Look closely, people sitting in the back couldnt see anything. That is fucking disrespectful to the crowd. And constantly booing and giving positions to EL.
