I wanna be so rich that i can have one of those installed in my castle on a top of a mountain and play bach to scare the shit of people who try to visit me.
I would enjoy Also sprach Zarathustra by Richard Strauss.
30 minutes of a beautiful and very challenging bit of teamwork between a pipe organ and a full orchestra.
To make things even more difficult, there aren’t a lot of pipe organs (or venues) that are capable of truly reproducing the range and power that the 9 chapters of this tone poem demands.
It gives me chills just thinking about the beginning of chapter one with the organ playing the bone rattling deep C. The intenseness of 16.7Hz. streaming from a pipe that is taller than the 3 story house I grew up in, surrounding and penetrating every cubic centimeter of everything, and the note isn’t even being played at full power. THAT comes later!
Passau Cathedral Germany. The largest organ in Europe with 17,774 pipes.
Fun Fact: the Cathedral collected pice or set bit by bit and one day they realized that they had the largest organ. It was not planed to be the bigest and it still continues to grow bit by bit.
"What are those other 4 manuals for?" "Oh just for show, you don't really need them."
In a pipe organ each manual and the pedalboatd has its own sound. That way the organ can switch between sounds with the movement of the organists hand. It is very complicated and all the switches control which manual plays which pipes.
But you know that. You said manual not keyboard.
Yes this is my great, my swell, my not so great, my almost swell, and my certainly not great. That makes up 5 manuals right? 😂
All these keyboards are so that you can change quickly to different pipe configurations. Each manual can be pre-programmed to play what ever pipes you like. Just hit the pre-select button, and presto!
@@SternDrive Not quite. Most keys cannot play the corresponding pipe in any rank. The pipes in an organ are divided into groups, often in seperate locations. Each manuel playes mostly one group of pipes. That is why the larger the organ the more manuels are needed. Each manual is assigned the desired set of pipes, one note, or sometimes chord, per key using buttons called stops. The presets allow rapid switching between setups. For example one preset could be manual one 4', 8' and 16' reeds in the great section, manual 2 8' flute in the swell and the pedalbboard 32' horn. Another preset could be manual 1 8' trumpet, manual 2 4' basoon and pedalbboard play the carillon. Drastically different sounds quickly switched between. The more modern the design of the linkage between the keys/pedals and the pipes the more possibilities.
A major reason for multiple manuals is the ability to play more than one part at once like a one person symphony.
Note to organists: my terminology is not completely correct and my choice of presets could sound really bad. Please correct me where needed.
I played the Organ at a church once, I giggled the entire time because holy crap the power I felt as a musician there.
As far as I know I was the last person to play that magical beast by hand as the churchnorganist passed and they've been using the MIDI function since.
Really nice. Organ Symphony No. 1 in D Minor from Alexandre Guilmant 🎼
There are no similar tone in the song you provided, can you please point out which section it is?
@@MarcoYu-x5b ua-cam.com/video/iYAZdW2IJRw/v-deo.html from minute 5.25. I think thats the part
He's got the heel toe action of a rally driver
Not really. You ever seen how rapidly a really driver is moving his feet when he is on blast? On the other hand he only has two pedals, not dozens.
Seen players do 2 foot solos on those...literal walking bass lines and solos.
HRISTOS a înviat!
The organ is a large and complicated musical instrument. It is really scary to see the rows of keys in front of you and the many pedals under your feet! However, the momentum of the movement it sends out is really admirable.
They better be paying the tuning guy good money for this one
This video about the largest organ in Europe : **exists**
St. Cecilia : (nervously sweating)
«Did you know your skin is your biggest organ ?
Not my biggest organ.»
-This guy, probably
YOU SHOULD BE LOADING MORE MUSIC LIKE THIS , IT IS JUST GLORIOUS , DON'T AWAIT . JUST LET THE MUSIC FLOW OVER YOU .
I bet that you feel an enormous amount of power when you play on this
It’s an awesome instrument in the hands of someone that REALLY knows how to play it.
I wish someone played Interstellar there....
I have this guy play when someone presses my doorbell 😂
You've mastered such a unique and beautiful organ!
I want to be able to play...and i would play...allways!!! I love organ..THE bigger THE better...gods gift to mankind!!🙏🙏🥰
Love a bit of Guilmant
@@TDGCmote It's the final movement of Guilmant's First Organ Sonata
Oh praise God in his sanctuary, praise him on the organ, and stringed instruments. I love organ music, started learning to play the organ as a young girl, never finished.
This is the Rock and Roll of the time. I can almost see Bach standing up and pumping his fist and screaming into the crowd in defiance of the old musical regime.
Play rush E
"Hey what instrument do you play?"
"I play church"
everybody gangsta till they gotta play the largest organ in europe
This performance is a panacea to purify to the soul

You'll probably need 2 stop assistants for that console so you don't fall off the bench trying to reach the tabs at the end
I play piano... *BUT this looks like a complete beast to play* 😳
The feet on bass!!! 🤯 awesome!!
Ja wir habe in unserem wunderschönen Deutschland super fantastische Orgeln. Und wir haben eine fantastische Kulturäl!!!
Danke! My German isn't too good, so es "Orgeln" gleich klaviar? (Vergleich das?) Danke
Yes, you do have a wonderful culture.....please guard it mightily against takeover by the barbaric Islamic culture!!!
@@kevinklingner7712 so how do you say it write " the organ is like the piano" in German? Danke 🇩🇪
Starting to look more like the cockpit of a spaceship than an instrument.
DUDE YOU SHOULD TOTALLY PLAY PHANTOM OF THE OPERA ON THIS 👊🩶❤️
You are in Passau germany right?
This definitely caused a vampire to awaken and its now living among us
Wow, incredible!! Felix, do you take a small request? I would absolutely love to hear the main theme from Interstellar, it’s played on an organ and I think it would sound so beautiful.
In case you're still looking for something like this, Grissini Project has done a couple Interstellar covers and they're great.
Hey Felixhell! Do you have the full recording of yourself playing this spectacular piece? The sound is just so divine here
I don’t. But I have A recording from another instrument here on UA-cam.
Maravillosa musica!!!!felicitaciones por tu interpretacion me encanto escucharte...te saludo desde Argentina...

"Alright kids welcome to band camp! Let's start with Felix, What do you play?" *shows organ
I feel like I am watching Pirates of Caribbean 😅
Real Music.
Ah. The organ in which Rush E was invented.
That is a beautifully instrument.
Imagine playing this at the school talent show. The people's minds would be blown, well firstly the school roof will, but you get the point💀
Is this what the organitst feels like in a church
Oh is there a longer version ? This is so beautiful !
He boutta start a villain arc
🌸 stunning 🌸
I’m gonna play any Keygen Church song with that.
no the best feeling is playing the largest organ in the world.
Wow, inbelievable man 👏👏👏
En ese tipo de órganos se deben suprimir algunas notas diferenciar del piano. En algunas melodias para que la armonía de triadas o quintas se distingan. De lo contrario es como exagerar en exceso de recaudos .
"Machine, check this sweet organ solo"
You have to play a whole god damn piano with your feet, too
I kinda wanna hear wedding crash from Castle crashers on that
Гений и блаженство!!!не совместимы
Js Bach: may I join you?
almost sounds like HYEHEHE from my singing monsters
Thank goodness for presets! Is it normal these days to have a radiating AGO pedal board that's not concave?
Imagine Davy Jones' theme played on that thing
thx for sharing with us
It literally needs ♾️ hands and ♾️ legs to play it
Rush E: "finally. A wothry instrument, out musical will be LEGENDARY!"
Idk why but this made me wonder what it would sound like to play "Let's Groove Tonight" on an Organ lmao
Virtuoso!!!! bravo!!! Bravisimo!!!.
bro became gob from my singing monsters
This is truly an ancient instrument.
What exactly do the stops do.. I can tell a difference in the sound when they are pulled. THERES SO MANY!
Walking bassline means you actually walk
Just imagine in school theyre asking what instruments you play and you say 'I play a building'
🤣
😂😂
😁😁😁
Tho most organs you play as an organist are only the size of a big cupboard maybe a car...
No I would say I've got the largest organ in Europe. Do you want to see it, miss?
