- Lost River POV at Flamingoland. Set among the park's zoo, is Flamingoland's Lost River Ride. Much of the boat ride is a slow meander past the lion enclosure, around the aviary, and past the giraffes, ostrich and zebras before a (very slow) climb back over the lion enclosure, then finally plunging down the drop on one of the wettest rides we have encountered! The ride itself takes around 11 minutes to complete, so I've speeded the slow bits up, except for the lift, I thought I'd let you see how ridiculously slow it is! LOL

I went on this in may 2015 and it was awesome! I love the feeling when you get down to the bottom and the water goes all over and little specks of water land on your face 😍😂
And i thought The Ultimate's lift hill was slow

This is the best ride at first it's so relaxing and you get to see animals and then when I went down the slide I knew I made a good decision

This ride absolutely soaks you
try storm force 10 at Drayton manor, it has 3 drops and one of them sends u backwards
Never go on this ride last always go in it first cos when your traveling back home you will still be wet af 😂
Alishia May Crowther I went yesterday and I Went with my school and it went last on this and I was sooo wet on the way back home
Went on this ride 13 times last year with school, coach seats were wet after our fun time in Flamingo Land, revisiting this place next Thursday should be fun😜🔥

Ride lasted just under 12 minutes...
At least 4 minutes load / unload...

Front row is closed for some reason = 16 people per boat...
Have just generously guesstimated the hourly capacity to around 192 peeps / hour!!! PMSL
I went here last weekend and this was closed! Gutted. I had a two day ticket and both days was closed:(

When I went here this ride kept breaking down, the wait was over two hours. I gave up and watched the sea lions instead. 😂
Takes the piss the speed of some of these rides, 40 mins to get a boat around a track.

Miss Lunatic It has safety belts now by they dont tell you you have to out them on. Well this was at least when I was there yesterday.

i went on this in june and i was socked and it was raining so that was not great but it took so long the whole way around and then when we got to the water bit i think i almost broke my neck

I went on this and hated the drop cos. I have a fear of heights and hate the feeling of adrenaline 😂 my friend forced me to go on it
I was nine when I went on this and I thought the drop was like 300000 feet tall but a few years later I had went on it and the drop seemed tiny.
I probably won’t get a reply by the time I’m going as the trip is tomorrow. But as someone who doesn’t like rollercoaster ,is this recommend for me?
Went flamingo land camping 2016. I took my eldest son on this. He loved it. He was practically dry. As me I was really soaked lol. Still a brilliant water ride.
I've never come off less than soaked Damien!
Sadly I got stuck on this ride for a while and then i got soaking wet it was still good though 😂

OMG love this ride i remember 3 years ago when i went on this as a trip in year 6 and when it was going down i was flying out my seat and i was like woooooooooooooooooooooooooow so funny and plus i didn't wear a poncho.bad idea

This ride is fun I guess.....but, about a year back me and my friend went on this ride and when we were climbing up the slope, the ride got stuck which frightened the life out of us, not gonna lie
hee hee - Lift hills regularly stop, am quite sure you'd be fine, but its all part of the fun - we get on rides to be scared, so it worked and you got more than your money's worth! LOL

Going here in October, staying in the resort for a week so figuring out what rides to go on when we get there! Do you recommend this even though it takes forever? Like is it worth it?
Hi Suzy. I think that during a week in October you'll have plenty of time to do everything, so in that sense I'd say yes. But you *do* get very wet on this, and in October I'd say no! LOL I suppose it wouldn't be too bad when you can just go & get changed though... ! :-)

Lol I went on that ride and there is always bat's at the top before the drop
I love bats, I wish I saw them! I just watched the vid looking out for any, but I think there's netting, which would stop them, along with the pigeons we can see on the roof..!

is it just me or did the part where the lions were creep u out couldn’t tell if they were real but i think they are,when i went to flamingo land i wanted to go on but i didn’t,i don’t like rides so can somebody tell me if u reckon i’ll like this! x
I went with my class a group went on this with no adults I was one of them when we went up the trail after the shelter I was at the 2nd row nobody was allowed in then front it tipped then suddenly dropped I almost feel out of my seat

This ride actually replaced this old ride called crazy water creek and they had a elephant rhino and a whale they would spray water not the rhino and they had a water tunnel
That's where I'm going to day and I'm scared
Surely it would have been much quicker and easier to use a chain lift? This is what you get when you get a weird manufacturer to build your shoot-the-chute.

I was on the outside part of the seat, so I got SOAKED when we reached the bottom. While my friends stayed almost completely dry ._.

This ride actually almost drowned people last month it had a issue
We went wih school i we were aloud to go off on our own wih friends without teachers and i think there was 7 of us in my group but there was only 2 girls counting me and we were in the middle of the boat and the boys around us and they wouldny wouldn't shut up and we were all getting really bored but went on it again coz its worth the wait getting bored going around he animals

Hey Conor... NEVER try to please everyone, cause its just not possible! I usually prefer vids with music, just my preference, cause I'd rather music drown out our on-ride conversations, and because I think music can really enhance a ride. Talking about music and sounds. Did u ever go on it about 3 years ago it was amazing
There was a car radio station half way through at the jeep. It was awesome
And there used to be a water vortex as well (that's why there r pieces of pipe coming out the water at 02:98)
And then you would go up the hill and music played and when u reached the top it stopped and you could hear gorilla sound effect birds and more and a drum started to play and as you reached the end the music faded out
And laughing started and you could hear a man saying old on tight and then the music stopped
Also music played through the speakers rather than animal noises (the speakers descised as rocks and trees)
It was awesome
I really hope they fix it for the 2016 season have been hoping for so long since the music stopped in 2012

This could have been good but the over dramatic editing ruined it.
This ride was rubbish me and my friend queued for two and a half hours and it goes about two miles per hour
