A point of clarification: when Shion tortured the three, she used her Master Chef skill to change the default state of the men's bodies, so default became meat cube w/ organs on the outside. Healing potions and magic restore people to their default, but if default is meat cube, there is no effect. Diablo had to actually put in effort and think about how to undo what Shion did--he gained respect for her since it was moderately difficult (as in not easy) task for him to pull off. Once he reset the men's bodies default back to human, then the healing magic and potion could work.
I just want to add that demons are experts at magic. And Diablo is highly skilled among them. So the fact that he could undo her Skills is saying something about him, but that is hard for him is also saying something about Shion.

The anime simplified the explanation of Diablio's unique skill Tempter, but it doesn't just prevent betrayal. Diablo actually has 2 Unique skills (the first one isn't really relevant and is only explained/mentioned in his character sheet at the end of one of the LN volumes covered in Season 2 of the anime). The first one is "Seeker/Great Wiseman". It's a mental skill (same category as Rimuru's previous Great Sage (now evolved into Wisdom King Raphael) and Veldora's previous "Investigator/Inquirer" (now evolved into Lord of Investigation Faust). The biggest different being that Diablo's mental unique skill is more focused on manipulation of reality and magical laws than on mental effects. Diablo actually used this skill (Seeker/Great Wiseman) in this very episode. It is the skill he used to revert the effect of Shion's unique skill "Chef" on the 3 people in the boxes. The second unique skill, "Tempter", aka the one name dropped in this episode, is MUCH more powerful. Some of the uses of this skill will be revealed later so I will not spoil them and will instead only explain what Diablo did in this episode with the Tempter skill. This use of the Tempter skill is similar to Rimuru's previous "Merciless" unique skill (once someone submits to Rimuru, he can steal their soul) in that it triggers when someone submits to Diablo and the moment said person submit to him in any way or form, no matter how small, Diablo can choose to gain control over their souls without stealing them. THIS is why they cannot betray Diablo. Because now their souls are owned by Diablo, and they are now both physically and mentally unable to go against him and his will. Additionally, Diablo is now able to sense their presence no matter where they are, can communicate mentally with them no matter where they are, and most of all, Diablo can now extinguish their souls to nothing with just a thought, no matter where they are regardless of distance between them.
So the deal Diablo and Veldora made where Veldora told him what happened for his pudding (while present in the manga) was also connected to the recap episode that they released earlier this week. They made it and had Veldora and Diablo the narrators for it to connect it to the deal in this episode between them. 😄

I've already watched a few reactions to this, which range from nothing happened (?!) to your enjoyment and analysis of the scene. Thanks for thinking about it. Some people were thinking, why didn't they make Youm king yet? You said it: people don't accept rule imposed by a foreign state easily. Even if Youm was born in Falmuth. It would be Option 2: become a vassal state. As an aside, there's a difference between what the people might accept, and what the nobility would accept. The nobility have more at stake, like power and wealth and pride. You'll end up creating an opposition bigger than Carlos. So get them to want Youm to be in charge. He apparently already has support from the people, now he needs support from the ruling class. Rimuru doesn't want the people to suffer; this battle is supposed to be between noble factions.
You pieced it together. The anime glosses over it but Falmuth still has a massive *potential army as it is the largest single Western Human nation. It was only the Kings personal army and local levies that went against Tempest since it was quick. Calling in the various nobles with their own armies/levies would of taken a long time to gather together. This would have been easier to spot, hence the lack of full mobilization as surprise was part of the Falmuth strategy. Fuze rushed with only a small group of mounted soldiers from the Kingdom of Blumund to warn Tempest because they didn't catch the troop movements of Falmuth until the last minute. King Gazel and the dwarves were late for the same reason.
I just happened to reread why King Gazel was late today. He already knew what happened, Vesta told him. I think he was there mainly for reputation damage control. Fuze was late for the reason you say. Also another reason the sent the army they did wasn't speed, yes, but also they wanted to send their best soldiers, knight, and experienced mercenaries. They were concerned about the level of strength of the monsters.
Something that’s pretty cool but not mentioned is that Diablo’s skill tempter was only doing half the work he had to add extra spells for it to work how it was presented to us , this type of usage of skills becomes more common from this point to show characters mastery over their abilities.
That is true, I feel that descriptions of how people need to consider their abilities carefully are not given the attention they need. Especially during battles. In Rimuru's case in particular, it makes Rimuru look even more OP than he is. Great Sage/Raphael actions is key to many victories, and it requires close cooperation between Rimuru and it to pull off. Already we don't fully comprehend the complexity involved with fighting the Orc Lord or Clayman, and it's only going to continue or get worse. Seeing what really happens makes you admire Rimuru even more, because you see the struggle. But every member of the cast has their moments of victory over themselves.

If you recall from season 2, the plan was to put Youm on the throne as falmuths new king. However, he has no legitimate claim to the throne. So they’re orchestrating a civil war where he will emerge as a Champion of the people, overthrowing the corrupt nobles who brought the kingdom so much strife. Once Youm’s side wins, he’ll have enough support to proclaim himself the new king, while simultaneously removing any corrupt nobles who would oppose his bid for the crown. the best story that I have read fully {light and web novel}. It gets really really hype and awsome. The character development and the world building goes hard. And how Rimuru becomes the strongest{way way way stronger that now} being , And tempest becomes the most powerful military and economy in the whole universe.

*Not Really Spoilers Below but an Explanation of Why They were In Boxes from Seasons 1 & 2* So, if you remember, Shion received the skill "master chef" from Rimuru becoming a demon lord. Master chef allows anything Shion cooks to taste exactly how she wants it to despite what she uses to make it or how she prepares it. It is basically low-level reality-warping, like the Scarlet Witch in the MCU. When Shion was "interrogating" them in Season 2 (remember she just had a Rimuru and a ❤️ in her notebook), she used master chef to alter reality to keep them alive even as she was cutting them apart. (They showed a flash of them in Season 2 but they censored it) That kept them alive but since it changed reality they couldn't be healed by any means. Diablo was bluffing when he said the potion did it, he just used his own magic to fix him at the same time. Shion could be very broken with that skill and she got it because of her deep desire to cook for Rimuru despite being awful at it.
She looks pretty big in this episode, the again she was very big in some of the scenes last season. Depending on scenes they nerf or boost as far I remember. PS: I know they are very big by default 😏
From Shion's POV, she'd like it if her boobies became even bigger, because that would mean more "cushion" where Rimuru (in slime form) can rest on!! 😂😂
honestly, since rimuru become so overpowered and really kind+fair, i always thought "why would anyone go againts him?", i would 100% become his lowest level servant even if i feel like i have more skills than the typical servants. Having an awesome boss is everything in my opinion lol

This is not a spoiler. It was mentioned in season 2 that they will make Youm the new king of Falmuth. Another thing the one that had the judge hair in Falmuth is a relative of the King of Blumund. He was also mentioned last season by Fuze that he will help to make Youm the new king of Falmuth.

Absolutely love to have this anime back again, but I have a suggestion for you guys. A new anime titled 'Re:Monster' just started and is now two episodes deep, and I think you lot would enjoy it since you get a big kick out of this particular anime, which shares many similar traits with the new one. They're both isekai where the individual eventually runs the village, although their styles couldn't be more different, and from what I've read versus seen the new one is tremendously faster paced with a few bits left out, so it's still pretty good. Hope you can find time to check it out; love all your reactions, by the way.
Shion's Cook skill is so OP because of her 2 Sub skill 1. Certain outcome/Law Manipulation: As you can see in S3 ep 1 6:10 it was shown there that she can literally change any object living or nonliving the way she wants. In short she can rewrite reality. 2. Optimal Action: She can literally imitate or copy something perfectly. Imagine a scenario where she beat Rimuru one time, if Rimuru where to challenge her again Rimuru will still lose no matter what he does. That's how OP she is right now, plus in the recent LN where she was upgraded makes her even nore powerful.

I've already watched a few reactions to this, which range from nothing happened (?!) to your enjoyment and analysis of the scene. Thanks for thinking about it. Some people were thinking, why didn't they make Youm king yet? You said it: people don't accept rule imposed by a foreign state easily. Even if Youm was born in Falmuth. It would be Option 2: become a vassal state. As an aside, there's a difference between what the people might accept, and what the nobility would accept. The nobility have more at stake, like power and wealth and pride. You'll end up creating an opposition bigger than Carlos. So get them to want Youm to be in charge. He apparently already has support from the people, now he needs support from the ruling class. Rimuru doesn't want the people to suffer; this battle is supposed to be between noble factions.

You pieced it together. The anime glosses over it but Falmuth still has a massive *potential army as it is the largest single Western Human nation. It was only the Kings personal army and local levies that went against Tempest since it was quick. Calling in the various nobles with their own armies/levies would of taken a long time to gather together. This would have been easier to spot, hence the lack of full mobilization as surprise was part of the Falmuth strategy.
Fuze rushed with only a small group of mounted soldiers from the Kingdom of Blumund to warn Tempest because they didn't catch the troop movements of Falmuth until the last minute. King Gazel and the dwarves were late for the same reason.
I just happened to reread why King Gazel was late today. He already knew what happened, Vesta told him. I think he was there mainly for reputation damage control. Fuze was late for the reason you say. Also another reason the sent the army they did wasn't speed, yes, but also they wanted to send their best soldiers, knight, and experienced mercenaries. They were concerned about the level of strength of the monsters.

Something that’s pretty cool but not mentioned is that Diablo’s skill tempter was only doing half the work he had to add extra spells for it to work how it was presented to us , this type of usage of skills becomes more common from this point to show characters mastery over their abilities.
That is true, I feel that descriptions of how people need to consider their abilities carefully are not given the attention they need. Especially during battles. In Rimuru's case in particular, it makes Rimuru look even more OP than he is. Great Sage/Raphael actions is key to many victories, and it requires close cooperation between Rimuru and it to pull off. Already we don't fully comprehend the complexity involved with fighting the Orc Lord or Clayman, and it's only going to continue or get worse. Seeing what really happens makes you admire Rimuru even more, because you see the struggle. But every member of the cast has their moments of victory over themselves.

*Not Really Spoilers Below but an Explanation of Why They were In Boxes from Seasons 1 & 2*
So, if you remember, Shion received the skill "master chef" from Rimuru becoming a demon lord. Master chef allows anything Shion cooks to taste exactly how she wants it to despite what she uses to make it or how she prepares it. It is basically low-level reality-warping, like the Scarlet Witch in the MCU. When Shion was "interrogating" them in Season 2 (remember she just had a Rimuru and a ❤️ in her notebook), she used master chef to alter reality to keep them alive even as she was cutting them apart. (They showed a flash of them in Season 2 but they censored it) That kept them alive but since it changed reality they couldn't be healed by any means. Diablo was bluffing when he said the potion did it, he just used his own magic to fix him at the same time. Shion could be very broken with that skill and she got it because of her deep desire to cook for Rimuru despite being awful at it.

Absolutely love to have this anime back again, but I have a suggestion for you guys. A new anime titled 'Re:Monster' just started and is now two episodes deep, and I think you lot would enjoy it since you get a big kick out of this particular anime, which shares many similar traits with the new one. They're both isekai where the individual eventually runs the village, although their styles couldn't be more different, and from what I've read versus seen the new one is tremendously faster paced with a few bits left out, so it's still pretty good. Hope you can find time to check it out; love all your reactions, by the way.

1. Certain outcome/Law Manipulation: As you can see in S3 ep 1 6:10 it was shown there that she can literally change any object living or nonliving the way she wants. In short she can rewrite reality.
2. Optimal Action: She can literally imitate or copy something perfectly. Imagine a scenario where she beat Rimuru one time, if Rimuru where to challenge her again Rimuru will still lose no matter what he does. That's how OP she is right now, plus in the recent LN where she was upgraded makes her even nore powerful.
