- If your bathroom exhaust fan stops coming on when you flip the switch, it is most likely one of three things: broken switch, broken plug/wiring, burnt out motor on the fan. If it is the last option, replacing the fan is so easy, just about anyone can do it. In this video, I'll walk through replacing a bathroom exhaust fan step by step showing you, up close, just what to do.

I'm not a handy guy so I turned to youtube to help me see how to do this. Yours is the ONLY video I saw that alerted me to the need to remove the "set screw". THANK YOU!
Thank for this. First I was going to this job myself. Then I watched a video from a big box store - they made it into the project from hell! So then I decided to call a handyman but watched your video first. I couldn’t find the whole assembly like you used so I bought the motor and fan parts. Works great! Not all videos are created equal!
Thank you. I am very happy this helped you. That's my ultimate goal.
You have great timing. My bathroom fan just went out and now I know what to do. Thanks!
Glad the timing worked. Let me know how it goes.
Must be nice that so many videos regarding this don't have the same issue i do where the fan is quite literally stuck
Great video! This gave me courage to tackle the job myself and succeed! Thank you for making this video. You are awesome! You rock!!
Can I get one that doesn’t funnel right into the vent? My older version looks different than the new models.
Hi
What kind and model is this? It’s the one I need because the plug hole is in the right place. Thank you
What about one with heat lamp and fan how does that work? Lamp works but fan doesn't.
I have not ever had to deal with that but I would guess it just has more wires to connect
