Train spotting at Doncaster station 19/6/2024
My day started waking up at 02:00 am. Out of the house at 02:20 arriving at Doncaster station for 04:00. It was like the back rooms on the platform. Today was a strange day fighting for the next freight but like all places they can be hit and miss. I enjoyed a couple of passes from 69003. I finally got to see the Roxby Gullet pulling MJA wagons.

It’s a whole other world, Doncaster station before 5am in a morning especially knowing there’s not many other people to see get on board trains. Including myself, of course.

Use to be on of the best spotting station in 80’s ,especially when you was allowed to do overnighters without getting moved on .

Others have said the same. It had a huge coal industry back then it was very busy with stock back and forth
