As impressed as I am with this new model, especially being inside on at the LA Auto Show, this vehicle still has work to be done. First of all, the materials need improvement, especially in the High Country, and where the materials specifically need work is on the upper door panels and upper dash. They really need to make those areas soft, especially for a top-end trim that costs 54k. Secondly, the High Country should also have an upgrade engine thats a step up from the basic V6, like a Twin turbo V6 with like 380 horsepower and even a diesel option. Speaking of Twin Turbo V6s, the “sporty” RS trim REALLY needs attention. If they’re going to make a sporty version of this, it should REALLY have a 380 horsepower Twin Turbo V6 engine. But that’s not all it needs, it also needs AWD since this is a very big and heavy vehicle, and a stiffed suspension for more personality. With all this, GM will show more of the new Traverse’s potential, and just GM’s potential in general. Also, not only will the Twin Turbo V6 give buyers an option if they want something faster than the basic V6 engine, it will also give shoppers who need the space of the Traverse and to tow more than 5,000 lbs an option as the Twin Turbo V6 should it’s increase towing capacity to like 6,100-6,500 lbs, or possibly even more. With all this, GM will definitely grab more attention from 3 row crossover shoppers.
What I don’t like is they transitioned all of them to the captain seats in the rear. What if I want the bench in the back to seat 1 extra person? (If needed.) I actually like the bench. Oh and that start/stop engine sounds like it will eventually turn into a design flaw. Normally when they try to hard, it bites them in the butt. Just let my car stay running, I don’t need some funky start/stop engine function.
It is so damn roomy on the inside. I am 6'5 and i think i have almost a damn foot of extra head room from the top of the vehicle. He forgot to mention that the 8 inch screen slides up to reveal a space where you can put your phone. It also has a usb port back there, and you can lock stuff in there for security (though if someone manage to steel your entire entertainment center, i guess your fucked lol)....maybe he did not know that lol Its the button on the right below the screen. That was a damn selling point for me because i thought it was so cool lol
That feature is pretty sick, I'm about to trade vehicles with my mom and I'm getting this car from her and I'm sooo excited to use that secret hidey hole
why are the gauges are always boring and plain Looking? the gauges in the Tahoe and Camaro are awesome Chevy always hitting and missing they need someone with some vision and direction to design their vehicles
nice car, but for 52000$ for a Chev Tr no way. maybe to get the Toyota H. or a Honda Pilot.plus the fuel miles he sucks. and the lose alot value then Toyota and Honda
The 2018 Traverse seems really nice; too bad standard safety features on the $31k Toyota Highlander will cost you nearly $53k on the Chevrolet Traverse!!! WTF GM!!! SAFETY SHOULD NOT BE OPTIONAL!!!
You have to get the $53,000 High Country to get adaptive cruise control!? Haha. No. Deal breaker. And High Country you have to get a poop brown interior.
jetpipe28 lol I can tell you liked your own comment, loser and no you probably never ever even had a nice leather interior that’s probably why you’re not liking it behaves you’ve always had a shitty car
Ok....these new vehicles are making me rethink Chevy. This traverse is nice👍🏽
DL Jones even thinking that they made a electric Corvette?
Gold Pony...love your reviews. Can I ask you to include comments of interior noise level? Seems everyone leaves that out.
What with the birds eye view of the car under the camera section?

Jeremy Niewinski I’ve seen in pictures where it looks like you have the option to add a seat between the captain seats.
So does Lt cloth not have remote start?
first off that intro fire already diggn it
Great review
Thanks!
Loved the review, was waiting for the traverse review from you! Was wondering If u could do the flex. Thanks
+Muhammad Memon I will once the 2018's come out for that one! 👍
You the best!
The premier doesn't come with awd ?!??
Nice enough truck but pricing seems ambitious.
This loaded Traverse is 25K cheaper than a loaded Tahoe. Seems like a pretty good deal.
what beat is that in the beginning? Its nice.

Can you drive the 2018 Buick Enclave?
The choice is very simple a suv
Or a 3/4ton 4x4 work truck
I know which one I'll choose.
My parents got this car in October
Dafne Simon how do you like it?
Awesome video, just be careful on how many times you say “actually”.
Any contact for Indian buyer.

Karl Smith that’s true but the BMW had always to me look like it’s old fashioned gauges
Cant decide between this and tahoe
D Tay buy both. Lols
Muhammad Memon if only...
We went with Traverse. Love it.
What level?
Get the traverse. Tahoe is ridiculously priced.
Great review. Too much stuff to break. 🤢

Am I the only one who thinks that it looks so fucking similar to Cadillac Escalade?
Dario cochelli yah it doesn’t at all, but ha you basically think it’s luxurious
FazeTug yea,cuz in Italy that car is SO luxurious
Dario cochelli I can’t tell if that sarcasm but okay 🙃
