Not all people from the Eastern Mediterranean and near East are dark, some do have lighter skin, hair and eye colours. They're not a homogenous monolith.

For those wondering why the Lord Jesus had Blue eyes in this movie, it was to make him of course stand out more among the rest. For those that don't know, it is possible for Jewish ( real Jews) to produce Blue and Green eyes anyway. This is a film / mini series on our Lords life and not a look a like talent show, stop moaning and enjoy, in my opinion, the most amazing performance ever shown on television.

People get so hung up on "this isn't what Jesus looked like". Since there are no surviving contemporary depictions of him (excepting the Shroud of Turin) nobody knows what Jesus looked like. But since he was the Son of God and not the biological child of Mary and Joseph it's entirely possible he could have looked like how he is depicted here.

For those wondering why the Lord Jesus had Blue eyes in this movie, it was to make him of course stand out more among the rest. For those that don't know, it is possible for Jewish ( real Jews) to produce Blue and Green eyes anyway. This is BY FAR the BEST movie about the Lord Jesus Christ that was ever made and nothing since has even come close!! Nothing. The Passion of the Christ is the only thing that came close but it still falls short of this one. It focused on his suffering and that was something a lot of People didn't like.

People get so hung up on "this isn't what Jesus looked like". Since there are no surviving contemporary depictions of him (excepting the Shroud of Turin) nobody knows what Jesus looked like. But since he was the Son of God and not the biological child of Mary and Joseph it's entirely possible he could have looked like how he is depicted here.
