Wow! We had a front row seat! This was so beautiful! Loved all the bright lanterns, costumes & floats! I recently read about Admiral Yi & his turtleships, so I thought it was so cool seeing that float. That was a long route! It impressed me to see so many senior marchers! And children too! Everyone did a great job with so much enthusiasm! Loved the celebration at the temple too! I really forgot it was a video and felt like I was there! Thank you for all the work that went into this!

종로에서 회사다닐 때 가끔 밖에서 이런 소리도 나고 행렬도 보이고 하면 무슨 일인가 싶었는데...이거였군요. 회사 근처 많이 다니던 길이 보이네요 ㅎㅎ 얼핏 봤던 기억이 나요. 당시엔 일하느라 너무 피폐하고 우울해서 제대로 즐기지도 못하고 집에 갔지만요. 하늘도 연보라빛 주황빛이라 행사하고 너무 잘 어울리네요🥰

Thank you Nathan. I enjoyed "walking" this parade with you. I could totally feel the energy and the wonderful sfere through the screen. Honestly, I didn't expected to see Kung Fu Panda 😅. All the groups from different temples and countries made this parade even more special and majestic. How I wish I was there right now. The dancers at 조계사 temple looked so happy and full of energy.

Amazing have never seen such a organised event .so orderly and all people look so happy and joyful. I wish there was a clear explanation as to history of this festival but I wish world can take this page from Korea and promote peace just love it

成宗時代に儒学者崔承老の建議により廃止され、顕宗2年(1011年)に再開したが、契丹の侵入により避難した清州の別宮で旧暦2月15日に開かれたため、以後1月15日と2月15日のどちらかに開かれた。靖宗4年(1038年)2月の小会日に国王が奉恩寺に行って太祖の霊廟に参拝して以来それが慣わしとなり、建国者に拝礼を行う政治的意味合いを持つようになった。恭愍王元年(1352年)からは仏誕にあたる旧暦4月8日に宮中に百名の僧侶を招いて供養させ、この風習は初期の朝鮮王朝にも伝えられた。

Thank you Nathan. I enjoyed "walking" this parade with you. I could totally feel the energy and the wonderful sfere through the screen. Honestly, I didn't expected to see Kung Fu Panda 😅. All the groups from different temples and countries made this parade even more special and majestic. How I wish I was there right now. The dancers at 조계사 temple looked so happy and full of energy.

In Buddhism love commpation, appreciations knowledge of goodwill is the key of joy and happiness. Copied or not but world were able to see it and enjoyed it
