A documentary made in 1997 and shown on the fifth anniversary of 'Black Wednesday', when the Pound was forced out of the European Exchange Rate Mechanism.
The producer was Eamonn Matthews; the executive producer was the much-missed Steve Hewlett. The narrator is the equally missed Tim Pigott-Smith. Transmitted 16 September 1997.
