LAURA OSNES is a two-time Tony Award nominee for her poignant performances on Broadway in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella and Bonnie & Clyde. Other Broadway credits include Bandstand, Anything Goes, South Pacific, and Grease, having won the role of Sandy on NBC’s reality talent competition, “You’re The One That I Want” at the age of 21. Osnes has charmed millions in five Hallmark Channel original movies and has also been seen on television in Just In Time (GAF), A Dash Of Christmas (GAF), Fosse/Verdon (F/X), Dynasty (CW), and Elementary (CBS). Her crystal clear and powerful soprano regularly graces symphony halls and cabaret venues around the globe, including filmed performances with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Live from Lincoln Center (PBS), A Capitol Fourth (PBS), and The Kennedy Center Honors (CBS). Her voice can be heard on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon), Team Umi Zoomi (Nickelodeon), and Chip Chilla (Bentkey), as well as several original Broadway cast recordings and her two solo albums. A recent transfer to Nashville, Tennessee, Laura has released nine original songs this past year as a singer/songwriter. She created the role of Violet in the world-premiere of Nashville’s residency variety show, Shiners, and recently launched a film production company with her husband, Nathan Johnson.
NATHAN JOHNSON (PRODUCER) is a Nashville-based producer by way of New York City. Nathan began his career in production when he created Red Door Studio and Drift Studio, boutique production studios and events spaces, located on the High Line in West Chelsea. Clients ranging from all the top magazines to AMEX, H&M, Louboutin, and RED. Nathan co-founded the Broadway Style Guide, a digital publication which was later acquired by TodayTix, where he was brought on to serve as Creative Director. As a photographer, Nathan has worked with some of the most recognizable faces and his images have been featured many times in Times Square, Vogue, GQ, Esquire, and most recently, the Daily Wire. Since leaving NYC, Nathan’s multi-faceted experience in the entertainment industry has led him to create Rebel Rocket Entertainment with his wife, Laura Osnes. Together they produce tv, film, and theater projects. In addition to his work with Rebel Rocket, Nathan serves as the CCO of Full Armor Films, a production in New Orleans.

I’ve been following Nate and Laura’s careers for 17 years now. I admire who they are and enjoy their talents so much! I learned a couple new things in this interview. I especially appreciate the intentional choices in their marriage and the honor and love they have for one another! ♥️♥️♥️

As an actress and Christian this conversation is SO important and should be discussed more. It’s so reassuring to hear that your experience of having to say NO to certain opportunities that go against your values and personal boundaries and to echo the idea that if they’re a good director, production team they will respect you and that many actors haven’t been blacklisted or affected in their career for these matters. Being a young actor as mentioned, it’s scary to say NO in fear of losing an opportunity but recently I did and was surprised with the good outcome and respect I received. I felt too that God rewarded my faithfulness and by continuously seeking to serve Him in every project I do, He will bless and promote me. It’s also even more important that Christian actors may talk about the subject of establishing boundaries in their marriage which I relate to recently being married. So thank you for sharing your testimony!
