We saw that tour on July 23rd , the exact day the album was released. Possibly the last time they were an opening band, as the song hit #1 in late November '86. (MTV helped)
Bon Jovi only played 6 songs that night, as Judas Priest played 20!--3 encores...and a real running Harley.
This was the first time I heard this song -of course-, and remember yelling to my buddy.."I like this one already!"...as the muted walking guitar melody during the opening verse and the 3 front guys were strutting shoulder to shoulder like Chuck Berry strumming away....They were really polished and clear. It was no surprise it became a hit.
They ended the short set with Runaway, the only song I knew from them up until then.
I never drummed to this before. This was my 2nd time through.
