      those 5 foolish ones shouldnt have remained virgins then (they should've enjoyed life - same outcome anyway - instead, they remained virgins for nothing. if they're going to hell anyway, then they might as well sin to the max)

      @@nicholaschanvn What do you mean? The moment a person believes the gospel they are 'sealed' by the Holy Spirit. They gain eternal life at that moment of belief that Jesus Christ is God and that He was crucified, buried and rose from the dead on the third day to atone for the sins of humanity as a perfect, sinless substitute for human beings.

    The oil was the Holy Ghost (who is salvation: 1 Corinthians 6:19, Romans 8:16, and who anoints: Acts 1:8, Luke 12:10), not works. The lamps are bodies: those that have the oil in them are saved people, but those that have no oil but merely have the APPEARANCE of being functional lamps are unsaved people (Matthew 23:27, Matthew 7:15, 2 Corinthians 5:7, Mark 7:6, James 2:1). I used to think this but actually, I think this parable is talking about rewards. This parable is parallel with Luke 12:35-36 where Christ urges his followers to keep their lights burning.
    luke 12:35-36
    Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
    And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
    Its practically the same idea as the parable of the virgins
    I think its talking about faithful believers who persevered in works and were watching for Jesus' return. Moreover, the parable doesn't mention eternal damnation and Jesus' rebuke of the virgins is nowhere near as harsh as his rebuke of the false prophets in matthew 7:21, where Jesus proclaims that he NEVER knew them before calling them evil doers and ordering them to depart from him. Also, Jesus states explicitly that the crowd in matthew 7:21 won't enter the kingdom of heaven, whereas the parable of the virgins makes no such mention.

      The parable of the virgins is not Body of Christ Church doctrine. It's Israel's doctrine. Those who God chooses to take Israel's Gospel of the Kingdom to all the world before the end comes. It must have been the wick that burnt out while they slumbebered and slept. I'm not, as you rightly pointed out, not very good at paying attention. Indeed, my span is quite short. Perhaps you could explain to me why the virgins were told to go and get some (oil). Would they not have known that it couldn't have been bought? Also, the fact that they returned, would that imply that they had indeed returned and gottent oil? Thank you for your time replying.

    There are similarities, but there are also differences:
    Matthew 7: They believed/trusted in their works more than they believed/trusted in Christ.
    Matthew 25: They believed/trusted in their false abundance of time to do the work they should do instead of believing/trusting in Christ that no one knows how much time they actually have.
    Conclusion: If you have faith that saves, you will trust in Christ alone and not in your works, but you will do them while you can. Saving faith does work, but doesn’t trust in it for salvation.

    Vrs 9, The oil is works? You can "buy" by doing the will of the Father. But how can you share works? You are not saved by works until after the rapture. Vrs 10 Does "the door was shut" refer to the second coming?

      1 Timothy 5:12: This verse is saying that some younger widows in Ephesus had expressed a desire-perhaps even made some kind of promise or commitment to remain single and serve God with full, undistracted devotion. (1 Corinthians 7:34) As Paul puts it, they allowed their sexual desires to “come between them and the Christ.” (1 Timothy 5:11) Paul adds they were showing other fleshly tendencies, such as becoming “not only unoccupied but also gossipers and meddlers in other people’s affairs.” (1 Timothy 5:13) So in verse 14, Paul gives further direction about how younger widows can protect themselves from spiritual harm.

    Yes, but its about the old covenant Jews during the 40 year generational transition period from old covenant to the new during time between crucifixion of Jesus and 70ad destruction of the temple. The Jews didn't automatically lose salvation when Jesus rose from the dead, but the destruction of the temple was the sign the old covenant came to an end. Basically everyone born on the day Jesus rose began the generation of everyone who needed to believe on Jesus for salvation.

    Romans 12 v 1 on is the path to knowing what the will of God is. Without this foundation you're floundering.
    As a believer, baptized into Jesus' name your "sacrifice" is actually worth something to God, as opposed to any other animal death. Hard to hear but true.
    Follow this path and it leads to a hard life, like the patriarchs and apostles, but Therin lies the reward.
    God isn't interested in your feelings, He wants you to acknowledge Him and what He has done for you, even before you were born.

Rom 12:1 and on is reasonable service, potential for rewards given by Jesus when those works are tested by fire in 1 Cor 3

      You have to think of two important principles. One, God is the creator and you are the created. Two, heaven is a never ending, eternal place.
      If you have a single shred of even the slightest thinking that you made it to heaven on your own, something you did, how good you are, that pride over an infinite period of time would grow to come at odds with God. You would eventually come to think you are equal with God. And that would get you kicked out, like satan did. Satan's pride was the reason he fell. Understanding Jesus paid it all and you have nothing without Him will keep you for all eternity. That's why you must believe ON Him alone.

  • @goyaamerica6436
    @goyaamerica6436 Рік тому +1

    This interpretation IMO is just wrong. The foolish "virgins" are likened to the "Kingdom of Heaven". Now what "unbeliever" thinks they are wedded to Jesus and are going to heaven? Absolutely not one! The foolish virgins are saved Christians who love this present life MORE than they love God and the eternal life He purchased for us. (See what Paul says of Demas in 2 Tim 4:10)
    The fools of Matt 25:1-13 are judged "unworthy" to enter the Kingdom of Heaven to consumate with the bridegroom Jesus. The consumation of a Hebrew bride and groom would happen "before" the wedding celebration afterwards. They would consumate in a "chopa tent". The "evidence" of their virginity would be saved by the brides family afterwards. (soiled bedsheet - Duet 22:13-21 )
    The consumation of the Christian believer is entering the glory of God's presence at the rapture, where the believer recieves his or her glorified body. In our case, the evidence of our "virginity" and "wisdom" will be the open door in heaven, where Jesus will rapture us to. All those left behind will witness their rapture and know that they were found worthy by God.
    The "good and faithful" believer enters into the "adoption" where the "building...eternal in the heavens" is given. (Matt 25:23, Romans 8:23, 2 Cor 5:1)
    This event is spoken about in innumerable passages, here are just a few:
    (2 Tim 2:12, Romans 11:20-22, Luke 21:34-36, Rev 3:3, Rev 3:7-8 etc etc)
    The foolish (but "saved" virgins) alive and dead, will not be raised or be taken up at the rapture as they failed their bema seat judgement. They will be moved across the timeline (translated) and be judged at White throne with all the rest of humanity. However, because of their born again status, and the sealing of the Spirit, they will recieve their promised eternal life and body then, but sadly, have been barred from "ruling and reigning" during the Millenial Reign of Jesus, as they were "grafted out" of that reward. They don't lose eternal salvation, that is gauranteed- (OSAS), but they do lose the privilege of serving, ruling, and reigning, with the bridegroom Jesus during His 1000 year Kingdom on earth.

      FYI I have been very blessed by your teachings so I am not some troll who is trying to snipe at you. I believe in free grace, against Calvanism, believe Once Saved Always Saved etc etc.
      I did watch your entire video. I just simply disagree. I believe the Matt 7 "unbelievers" are different than the Matt 25 "virgins". I agree wholeheartedly there are plenty of tares in the church (some currently, some in the past) who will be told Jesus "never" knew them. That however is not what is being told to the "virgins". The virgins come into the parable with "oil" (annointing of the Holy Spirit). They have "lamps" ("...YOUR WORD is a lamp onto my feet, and a light unto my path" Psalm 119:105) They are called "virgins". The context 2000 years ago is they were "betrothed". Betrothed to whom?...the devil? If that were the case they never would have recieved any "oil" in the first place. All 10 virgins (wise and foolish) are betrothed to the SAME bridegroom.
      The word "know" in Greek between Matt 7 and Matt 25 virgins is different as well. Jesus has never "percieved" of the false brethren of Matt 7, with the virgins however, the word is used "relationaly". So in essence He's saying I have no "relationship with you".
      Every one of those parables in Matt 25 refer to a "master" returning to settle up with "His servants". Why would Jesus call unbelievers His servants? His bride?
      I pray brother that you will meditate on the verses I gave you in my first message. If you can come up with alternative interpretations I am all ears.
      I have studied this escatological subject for 35 yrs. I could be wrong for certain. But you would need to convince me via scripture.
      I believe the "church" as a whole today has strayed so far from the "earnestly waiting" (apekdechomai >please study this Greek word and its usage

    • @goyaamerica6436
      @goyaamerica6436 Рік тому

      I have no idea. It is possible. To me it is easy to be saved, it is much harder to "remain" in the faith.
      Paul speaks of the "race of faith". He mentions in 2 Tim 4:7 that he has "finished the race and kept the faith". He says in verse 8 that the "crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to (me) on that Day, and not to me only but also those who have (loved His appearing)." Sounds like keeping the faith was important and personal to Paul.
      Jesus warns in Rev 3:11 to "Hold fast what you (have) that no one may (take) your crown." I believe Jesus is saying clearly to the "faithful church" they can lose their crowns. Which is different than eternal salvation.
      As far as the eternal destiny of Nebuchadnezzar, I really don't know. Some have said yes, but I really haven't studied the subject. Why do you ask? What do you think?
