Anything below 35 degrees is too cold for Mrs. Backroads and Bridges. I use leggings under jeans and sometimes add coveralls over that. I definitely use heated socks. Wish I had heated gloves. We stop at McDonald's or gas station to warm up and have some coffee 1 or more times, depending on length of trip. It's really rough on the little bikes, they have no wind protection. The KLR and the Concours are more protected. - Mrs. Backroads...
I have rode in the 20’s for a short distance to work, but it would have to be in the upper 40’s on the way home. There and back was cold. I wore every bit of clothing I owned. I felt like the younger brother on A Christmas Story. The one who cried because he couldn’t put his arms down. It all comes down to wanting to ride overpowering better judgement. Haaa! I know y’all are diehards and I’m preaching to the choir on this topic. Y’all are TRUE winter riders. McDonalds Coffee will always be the best hand warmers ever invented! Thanks as always , for the comments and likes.
