      I’m a born and raised Angeleno. I was eleven when Shaq and Kobe won the first of the 3peat. When Kobe died it felt like a piece of my childhood was ripped out of my chest.

    These Kobe stories are timeless. I can sit and listen to NBA players recite them all day. It just goes to show you the respect, love, and inspiration he had on every young player around the league. I know they all miss his wisdom and knowledge of the game.

    It's been a while since I was able to watch video's about Kobe without crying and starting to tear up. I'm getting better with it, but still miss my guy and am still pissed about his senseless death. Getting the seal of approval from Kobe gave so many players the confidence they needed to level-up. RIP Kobe Mamba Mentality forever.

    Every one who played with are against KOBE always has kind words to say about him. How good he was and his worked out in the basketball courts early in the morning while everyone was sleep but KOBE. Who was practicing on the courts. By his self. KOBE wanted to win and he showed it by getting up early going ro the courts working on difference way to make the basket in the hoops. evert time I see these aids of KOBE It bring back memories of KOBE and how hard he worked on the basketball courts.     i remember being so happy that kobe did the podcast with matt barnes and stephen jackson, that was the first podcast i actually sat down and watched the entire 2 hr episode, it was amazing . Great times man .

    One thing I loved about Kobe he was always bringing up the young guys and giving tips and motivation for the next generation cause he knew he wouldn’t be in the league forever. You rarely hear stories about shaq bringing up the young guys he’s always hating on them about something

    I was not a Kobe fan at all when he played. I respected him but didn’t like him. When he retired I missed him and when he died I cried. He demanded that type of respect for what he did for the game and I’m happy he was in the NBA, even if I couldn’t stand him. Like that mean big brother 😂

    It's an unmerciful world we live in. Death is a part of life but when your heros die in a pedestrian way it makes you think,"what chance do I have?" In this age of everything being accessable on the internet, we see ghosts. Between documented war footage, cop body cams, and pop culture icons.... this world is a messy place full of loss and sadness.

    I never liked Kobe. Thought he acted like a jerk most of the time and “issues” in Colorado really put a stain on his reputation for me. That said, it’s amazing to watch the respect and admiration other nba players have for Kobe. It puts him in a different light, even to a Kobe-hater like me.

    the raja bells, bruce bowen, dahntay jones, ruben patterson (kobe stopper LMAO), luis scola, and even ron artest. I think kobes biggest rivalry was with lebron for basketball accolade reasons, but for personal hate reasons it had to be between raja bell or dahntay.
