I always wondered why Crash was voiced by Chip Chinery in CTR instead of Brendan O'Brien (RIP), who voiced Crash in Crash 1 and voiced the majority of CTR characters like N. Gin, Tiny, Pinstripe, etc.. In fact, they used Brendan's "WOAH" sound at 0:17 while the next one at 0:18 is Chip's "WOAH". You can obviously tell that it's an archived voice from previous games because of how low-quality it sounds in comparison to the rest.

It would have been better if it was Brendan O'Brien voicing him. I'm not sure why they had to get Chip Chinery to voice him here, since there's really not that much difference. Brendan O'Brien's just better to me personally.

They didn't. This was the last Crash game Naughty Dog made.
