I’m a manager at Kennesaw St. it’s cool to hear stories about different programs manager duties and can relate to a bunch of stuff you talked about.
I’m looking to become a manager at ole miss but i’m also a pre PA student so grades are very important. will it be hard to juggle managing and grades
@@jeo-ot4qy it honestly depend. Being at a mid-major is a lot different then a high major here at Kennesaw St we only have 4 managers unlike a high major where there are 10+ managers. When season starts you’ll atleast have to commit 4hrs a day to managing. I rly enjoy it I get to travel, get gear, and be apart of the team so if you get an opportunity I’d take it especially if you wanna coach in the future.
@@rhettreactsatl Do they pay for travel?
Currently trying to walk-on for KSU basketball 🙏
I watched the entire video and I got say you did great job covering all the aspects/components of being a team manager. I've been a team manager for almost 9 years now, managed all 4 years at my high school for their football and boys & girls basketball programs, and recently at my community college for over 4 years for their men's & women's basketball programs. I gonna ask you....do you think someone can still be a team manager as a like volunteer for D1/D2 collegiate program if aren't or don't wanna be a student from that school? Because I'm kind of in that situation right now still looking for a collegiate program to manage this upcoming season as I'm trying to get to that next level.
Thank you for the video. Really needed that.
Always!
Thank you, I have been looking into managing in college and Ive been trying to get prepared and seeing what it would be like, if it was something I would enjoy doing.
Thanks for the information 👍 😀
Great video as always, you always got some real info fr.
Coach Thomas,
Your videos are the real deal. The insight you give about the structure of a collegiate program is next level. I am a transfer at UMichigan and want to get involved with basketball operations as a team manager.
In order to get involved -- would you recommend I email the SID, video coordinator, or just stop in the athletics office this summer ahead of the fall season?
Thanks! I would actually do all three to let the staff know of your seriousness.
Yo how do you even walk onto a D1 basketball college team. Do I just email the coach for a tryout?
GOD bless
Can freshman students become managers?
Yep. You just have to talk to the coaching staff or the director of basketball operations
GOD bless
